Falling Into the Abyss Falling Into the Abyss was the theme of the Fall Dance. The Theatre's rows somehow disappeared and instead all you saw was a large floor. Now the door was the only thing that remained the same. Crystal and beautiful, the floor was the usual marble white, but it had gold and red sparkles scattered about making it seem like magic fell from the sky as the sparkles seem to float upwards just to fall down again. But it was hard to tell in the moving gold and silver lights that's light up the fancy theatre. The walls were lined with gold swirls and the back of the theatre was so dark it seemed like it sucked things in. The ceiling, like magic was a mock of the perfect sky. And the arches were lined with perfect red and golden roses. The banners hung were a sparkling silver or were a stunning gold. Which was suitable for such a fancy dance. The DJ by the darkness taking requests as the students flooded in. The dance would last until 11pm, due to the lack of volunteering teachers, and it begun at 8pm, but the flood of kids didn't come in until 8:30 when people decided to be fashionably late, which ultimately failed.

(I guess I probably should start) Pyre opened the doors and stepped into the brilliantly decorated room, Max at his side. He got out of the way of the door, quickly, as he figured the rest of the students would be piling into the room at any second. Turning to Max, he smiled. "Punch?" he asked, indicating a bowl of scarlet fruit punch.
Pyre was enjoying the dance, already. This was the best day of his life. Unfortunately, that would all change given time. Ah, time. That would be the one responsible for the events of that night. Time. Sweet, beautiful time. (Foreshadowing! XD *wonders if anyone gets the reference with the whole 'time' thing...*)

(Oh, this is a dance? And because Max goes back in time to go with Garrett, too? This ought to be interesting! *gets popcorn* xD) Sabrina peeked into the theatre. She wanted to see if anyone was there already. It would be embarrassing to be the first one, and not even have a date. And it still would be embarrassing if she just stood outside the doors all day. Luckily, Pyre and Max were already there. Sabrina didn't know if she should wave or not. It looked like they were going together, and she didn't want to disturb them.
Sabrina cautiously walked over to the other end of the refreshments'(I'm guessing?) table and quietly nibbled on the edge of a cookie.

(xD This will be interesting. I love screwing with my characters. Pyre's gonna go on a rampage. Expect a window or two to shatter and Garret to fly up against a wall. A few decorations fly through the air. The usual dance events.) Pyre glanced across the room to see Sabrina step in. He saw her hesitate, as if debating on whether to come in, or not, and decided to wave. The boy tried to keep it a simple 'hello' wave and not a 'great to see you, how have you been? Oh, am I ignoring you, Max? I'm sorry' type of wave. Turning back to his date, Pyre smiled. If one looked closely enough into his eyes, you could tell he was still wobbling at the edge of a cliff, debating on whether to jump or allow his friends to pull him away from the edge. Still, his brilliant smile said the exact opposite. It portrayed a boy having a great time dancing with a great girl, which was what he was trying to become. Still, his memories nagged at his mind and lessened it's stability. He hoped it wouldn't affect the course of the night but anything was possible.

Max was definently playing a dangerous game here. Then again being alive was a dangerous game. Nevertheless the game of love was definently a slaughter mission, which in this case involved a very long night, her hourglass necklace going vessel to keep up with her changing time, the freezing of moments completely so she can get to places on time and a possible attempt to have two best friends avoid each other while dancing with the same person. No big deal. Lies. It would be difficult, even Max, master time traveler knew it. Yet, she faced the challenge. The need to get know them was the only thing keeping her from picking.
But these fools had it coming. Why would they compete on the same night over the same girl? This conflict often confused Max, then again she knew both boys, and both had their moments of absolute brain-dead-ness.
Taking a deep breathe she smiled. Her light eyes scanning the room. Good no sign of Garret... Looking at Pyre she smiled "I'm good," the less she ate before traveling the better, since stoping, speeding, slowing, and running time was exhausting, and nauseating. Looking around she drew in the beautiful scenery and zoned out for a moment not nothing Pyre's little wave conflict. But zoning back in she found herself turning to see Sabrina smiling she waved in a slight flick of her wrist the gesture simple and sweet.

Pyre smiled as a song came on and more demi-gods began piling into the room. "May I have this dance?" he asked, over-exaggeratedly, laughing at the clichedness of the entirety of the phrase. So, maybe it wasn't a slow song and maybe they wouldn't exactly be dancing together, arms around each other. Still, it seemed the right thing to say. He didn't want to just start randomly dancing and hope she joined in.

(Ugh, I'm really busy these days, so sorry if I don't go on.) Sabrina gave a small smile back in reply, and looked around. The decorations were certainly great. Sabrina swung her head around as she heard footsteps, and the daughter of Apollo's eyes widened as a huge group of demigods came rushing in, and quickly scooted to get out of the way. She didn't want to get trampled.
Looking around, she felt slightly jealous at all of them. She was alone, and didn't have much friends here. In fact, she only knew Pyre and Max. Sabrina decided to walk around randomly and try to make a new friend.

Max laughed the words from a movie. Replying with a totally stolen quote "That's what I came to do," which was good idea. Don't show favoritism. Stick to the plan. Choose a guy. And hopefully leave this dance without damage done. But even she knew that the possibility of Pyre finding out she was also dating Garret and Garret finding out about Pyre was high.

Garret loved attention, he was cocky, flirtatious, a ladies man some would say. And he was definently the guy being surrounded by a adoring mob as they mooned over his attire. Snow white suit and shoes, sea green tie, and a snowy white top hat. The girls laughing and giggling as they spoke. But Garret shrugged "Excuse me ladies, but I'm looking for a particular person," and with a cocky grin and a spin of his hat he left.
And naturally was one of the mob to push Sabrina away. Noticing the Apollo cabin leader he paused "Hey, Sabrina right? I'm Garret," which should've been enough information since he was the only child of one of the Big Three in the school currently. And was Poseidon Cabin Leader. And was also one of the few student training to be a teacher. But if she did miss who he was well then...somebody else would do the introduction for him. Seeing Max, and her stunning self he was about to approach.
About to. That was until he saw Pyre and his best friend face. Ok, so Garret was competing against the goofy pie who would splatter in his face at any time, but Garret was Garry a snail in a tv show. He deserved some props.
Plus what was the chances Max wouldn't like him? He certainly liked her, and he wasn't just trying to compete against Pyre just cause he felt like it.
Studying her quickly he noted two things, one she seemed half interested in Pyre's words, and two Pyre was definently making a move. But instead of doing the corny 'hey that's my girl drill' he smiled. Walking to the DJ, naturally a slow song would follow the fifth fast song. But to Garret's request Pyre would miss this chance and instead be attempting to dance with Max to "Dot Com by New Boyz" which was definently to Garret's advantage since he was a master at dancing to this song and some others that haven't been played yet.
Watching Pyre, Garret decided to be a bit more sneaky and instead started leading a crowd in a dance. Which would definently get him noticed. And when Max would leave Pyre's sight Garret would come in and insure she didn't return to his side and by doing so secure his victory. Despite how wierd it sounded.

When Max saw a top hat leading a crowd to Dot Com she knew it was Garret. And figured he probably didn't see her with Pyre or else he would've come up. Not wanting to take any chances she turn to Pyre "Um I'll be right back," and she disappeared through the crowd as if heading towards the bathroom. But when she was sure Pyre couldn't see her she edged her way around the wall and to Garret.

Garret watched her approach cautiously. Tàking this in the form that she was shy he grinned. Walking towards her as the crowd continued dancing happily. Grinning he said "MaxZ, you look lovely. Definently match the theme," he winked his sea green eyes bright and full of laughter. Honestly it seemed like the night was going well.

Max looked down at herself quickly and flashed a grin "Thanks. You don't look bad yourself," she said motioning at his outfit. Taking his too hat she placed it on her own head "Very nice hat," she spun around "Especially when it's on me, but very classy. Not necessarily classic. But classy. At least you get props for that," she smiled placing the hat back into his airheaded-head.

Garret grinned and bowed. "I'm the king of Class, the old guys get to own classic, but I own class," he took his hat off and spun it into the air. Gesturing towards the dance floor he said "In the mood for dancing? Or would you prefer taking a quick stroll outside and away from sweaty people trying, and failing, at dancing to my song," he laughed. Dot Com's last few notes slowly ending.

Pyre merely stood at the other end of the room. He'd no idea Max had gone to Garret. If you asked him, he would say she'd gone to the girls' room. Spotting a crowd growing, all dancing to Dot Com, he grinned. He saw the dance as cheesy, or so the way they were doing it. Had it been done correctly, it would be pretty cool. Still, he wasn't about to attempt. The only person he knew could dance like that was Garret. Now, HE was a good dancer.
Smiling, Pyre walked over to the table for fruit punch. Seeing that Sabrina was still there, he smiled. "Hey," he said, hoping to be a simple conversation starter.

Sabrina didn't expect to be talking to Garret. "Um, yeah, that's me." Sabrina tried to sound cheerful. She had heard about him before. And had heard a rumor that he and Max, that daughter of Chronos, were an item. So why was Max dancing with Pyre? Sabrina decided not to mention it. She didn't want to get caught in the middle of this stuff.
Sabrina took a sip of a cup of fruit punch, watching everyone, her eyes searching for Max and Pyre. Although she didn't want to get involved, it was always interesting to just watch. So it took Sabrina by surprise as Pyre seemingly materialized next to her. "Hey." The simple word made her flinch in surprise, her fruit punch sloshing dangerously near the rim of the cup.
"Oh, um, hey Pyre." Then added more teasingly, "Shouldn't you be with Max right now?"
