Garret didn't even think. His fist already flying at Pyre's face in fury. The puddle's water flying at Pyre like a concentrated stream ready to slice his skin. Garret growled "You better step down and watch it cause you're about to get a fight you don't want," he hissed the end eyes lethal.

Pyre blocked the punch not out of alertness or experience, but of natural reaction. The water, however, made a small cut along his arm, slicing through his clothes. "Oh, believe me, I want this fight," he practically growled, throwing a fist of his own at Garret's stomach. Just because he was on top didn't mean he could do anything he wanted. Pyre wouldn't stand for it. He was fine with him being more popular or getting more girls but when the power goes to his head, that's when Pyre repeatedly feels he has to step in. It had been that way for years and, now, even Pyre was amazed at how far Garret had gone.

Garret ignored the punch pushing Pyre back as the water lashed out like a whip. His sea green eyes dangerous “Well I hope you get what you want cause nothing is going to hold me back,” he growled coming close to knocking Pyre into a small pond where Garret could just use the water against him. Garret had always felt like Pyre didn’t enjoy him being number one, but he never did anything about it cause Pyre never had the audacity to try to take it. But now he wasn’t trying to take his status, but rather Max. His girl. Which was far worse.

Max’s blood turned cold as they started fighting “GARRET, PYRE STOP!” she bellowed running after them wanting to break them up. If somebody gets badly hurt, it would be her fault. Ohh why couldn’t she be daughter of Demeter or something, just make vines pull them apart? It would be easier than having to grab one and pull him away from the other.

Pyre stumbled back, regaining his footing quickly and dodging the water, sending a burst of air back toward Garret. He didn't pay any attention to Max in his rage, blind to everything but the target of his anger. "Just how I like it," he spat, feeling pure hatred toward the demigod in front of him, who was his best friend just a minute ago. Garret had overstepped the line. It was one thing to walk around as if you owned the place. But trying to say Pyre's date was his own? That was going too far and he wouldn't let it go without a few bruises and a broken bone or two to go with it.

Garret ignored Max. Being pushed back slightly by the air but pushed forward just as fast aiming another punch at his friend. The nearing pond seemed to suddently become active as it awaited Pyre to come closer to it could grab and pull him in mercilessly. His best friend was really making him mad. "Maybe you will realise that lying comes with it's consiquences," he spat at Pyre

Max noticed the water and felt panicked. What if Pyre drowns? Air blowing hair into her face as she raised an arm to try to block it. Seeing Garret push back for a moment she jumped forward pulling him back from the arm “STOP, PYRE IS YOUR BEST FRIEND!” she told him trying to stop the fight.

The fist hit Pyre in the gut, forcing the air out of Pyre's lungs. But they refilled, quickly, as they naturally would for a child of a wind god. Sending another fist at him, he ignored Max's attempts to pull Garret back and stop the fighting. The only thing with Max registering in Pyre's mind was him making sure not to hurt her by accident.

Garret suddently blinked her word rushing through him as she pulled him back. A punch missing him by a centimeter thanks to Max pullign him bacl. Stepping away he hissed angrily "Well best friends don't lie to each other and try to steal the other's date..." a glare at Pyre as he tried to remain calm and cool infront of Max. But his messy air blown hair begging a differ.

Pyre stopped for the sole reason of Max being half in the way. "I can't steal your date if you don't have one in the first place!" he said, each word dripping with hatred toward him. "Why can't you see she came with me because she is my date, not your's?" Tugging at his shirt to even it out, as it was wrinkled and folded up and generally a mess.

max cleared her throat. her words finally coming out "Actually...neither of you are lying..." her words faint and barely carried by the air. She stepped away from garret not knowing if he'd send out water to attack her as well. And she didn't look at Pyre afraid that she's see hatred derected at her.

Pyre's eyes turned to Max. "What do you mean?" he asked, still completely oblivious to her plan. His voice still had a hint of hatred in it but that was just the remnants of what he felt for Garret. He loved Max. She'd always been there for him and he'd fallen for her. Now, the dance was going wrong because of Garret. That was the way Pyre saw things. That's what he wanted to believe.

Max winced slightly. "I didn't know who to choose...so I just came with both of you..." she whispered soo quietly that it could barely be heard. Regret making her cheeks turn red. She would add that it was a mistake, and next time she'd choose. But that would probably hurt Pyre since it was now obvious she would choose Garret. Her eyes studying him hoping she didn't hurt him. She cared about both. But Garret was different...he was cocky, a jerk, a pain, but also the one she'd choose...

Garret froze. Feeling shocked "I'm not following this..." he said confused. Then looked at Pyre with a bit of anger and pity. His eyes locked on her's as he tried to understand what she was saying. Did she just admit to be going with both of them? Now? Why culdn't she fess up before he punched Pyre?

Max blinked wanting to apologize a million times. "I didn't want to hurt you guys...So I said yes to both of you not wanting you guys to fight..." she said. Knowing now that it wasn't the brightest idea. But she didn't want to rewind time, no not after what happened about ten minutes earlier...She would rather suffer the consiquences of that kiss than have it never happen.
