"My father takes a year to regenerate." Leon replied quietly. He still remembered the Nemean Lion very well in his human form, patting his head while towering above him. His father had been strict, yes, but he hadn't hated him. "And Hades keeps the stronger monsters in reserve in Tartarus if they pose a threat." He replied. His father was the original Nemean Lion.
"Their weaknesses are rather minor, and they love controlling others because we have to follow their orders or get incinerated." He growled, voice low in volume.

Irissia nodded "So does that mean you take a year too? I'm sorry I'm just curious... I've never actually died. And I doubt I will regenerate.. Or at least in a noticeable speed... My brother didn't as far as I'm concerned... He may have, but I wouldn't know... Troy was destroyed so it was no point staying to wait..." she told him.
Irissia shook her head "You shouldn't resent the gods, they actually do good things sometimes,"

"Your brother was no mythical creature." Leon replied with a shrug. He didn't know about Irissia, but he was positive that she wouldn't die in a long time. "I take three weeks at the most. If I'm lucky, one week. I'm not a strong monster. It's only because of experience that I've clawed my way to the top. A lot of others have abilities- like yours- that overcome mine." He just shook his head to show that it was fine and that it wasn't a bad question.
Leon still disagreed with the topic about the gods. "Sometimes, and only to make themselves look good or if it benefits themselves. That's what I think. It's rare for them to selflessly go out of their way."

Irissia tilted her head to the side. "So am I a mythical creature since I was born as a puppy, with no human blood? The only extra ordinary thing I have is my dads skill and ability..." she told him honestly her blue eyes wide. Her mortal form came from Aphrodite, and her immortality...well she didn't know if she had it before meeting Aphrodite since she didn't die prior... Since she was the strongest dog...
Irissia shook her head "No. I know Apollo and Artemis and they do some things selflessly. Aphrodite has her moments..." she told him with a shrug.

"Well, technically, since Aphrodite was the one that awakened your potential..." Leon shrugged, draining his glass after the waiter had come to refill it, "I mean, look at Argus...But you look nothing like him, of course."
He remembered the vivid images of his past. He jumped in front of the wolves in the forest, landing in front of his mortal friend that he had decided to trust. He had morphed into a child lion, roaring at the animals until they fled with their tails between their legs. But when he had turned around, to smile at his friend to tell him it was safe now, the boy had given him a terrified look, and run away. Once he had returned to the village he had been staying in, they drove him away with sticks and stones. He had to run into the night, living in the forest away from the people for the first time as a child without his deceased father. Heracles was still feasting in the halls of his village, being celebrated by the villagers. By his supposed friend that he had protected. He was shivering in the snow that night, begging at the skies. "I just want to die...Die once, and never come back! Please...?" But the gods hadn't answered him, and he had been reborn, vomited right back into the cruel world. "I don't know about that. I'm sure they can be nice and all...but I've never liked the gods."

Irissia shrugged "I suppose so..." she said thoughtfully. Thinking back to the days before she was given a mortal form. Her brothers and sisters all went their separate ways. Only one sibling staying with her, but he was killed by Achilles. And Irissia, or Laodice as her name was at the time, had never seen him since.
Irissia had zoned out. Her thoughts of her brothers and sisters occupying her mind as she thought of the days when they all lived with a wolf pack to learn how to live. Blinking she focused back onto him nodding as she tried to scramble together what she subconsciously heard "Uh..yeah. I guess that makes sense if you never meet them..." she murmured.

Leon noticed that she was staring blankly off, and he knew already that she was thinking about things. He had brought up the past, and it was always something everyone in this world thought about. Chances were, their pasts were quite messed up, and needed to be sorted out. He just lowered his gaze after giving her an understanding look.
"Actually, I doubted the gods even existed..." he sighed, adding on a bit grudgingly, "Until their children started popping up trying to kill me."

Irissia smiled faintly "I suppose that's unfortunate for you. I was always the cute puppy they took on hunts," she said with a grin remembering in one occasion, before receiving her mortal form, a demigod son of Athena had taken her on a hunt and seeing she never missed a catch pieced it together that she was daughter of Laelaps. He had told her the whole story that day, about her father and the Tessimarian fox. Though she was a puppy, Irissia understood it. "But I never doubted their existence...mostly because the earliest thing I remember was Zeus casting my father into the sky..." she had been too young to do much more than whimper and cry at the time, the wolf pack taking her in shortly after. Irissia never really got to spend time with her father, and never will, but Irissia didn't hold a grudge against that. He may have been her biological father, but her adoptive father was King Priam, and that's the father she felt sorrow for at the thought of.

"Huh, cute puppy. You're anything but small and innocent." Leon huffed with a hint of teasing in his tone. Anyone would admit that it wasn't that fair when their pasts were compared. It was obvious that the gods favored those with a better track record. And that record came from the parents first. How their parents acted was how they judged their children.
Leon had always disliked the gods, and that had never changed. He looked towards the door. "I think that I should be heading home." They had both cleaned their plates anyway. "So maybe I can drop by the orphanage before I go with Tori?"

Irissia rolled her eyes ignoring Leon's comment as her fingers twiddled expressing the slight degree of energy she had to suppress. Irissia was rarely tired and had to be in constant motion. Irissia bit her lip, still not completely trusting Leon hesitantly she nodded "I suppose...that's permit able..."

"Tomorrow, or maybe the day after?" Leon tilted his head, catching her hesitance. He wasn't one to miss facial expressions. He decided he would let her choose because she obviously didn't trust him at the moment. He would save it all for later. He would show Irissia that he had abandoned the eating humans habit he had taken to on his first day in the world.

Irissia blinked thoughtfully. "Tomorrow..." she said the sooner the better, you can't tell what will happen... she thought getting up. Her light blue eyes leaving Leon to look out at the door. The orphanage would be awaiting her arrival, and she had to tell the children she would be bringing a visitor.

(You can make the thread. I'm lazy XD. Take your time, though.)
Leon nodded, sliding his chair back in. He turned quickly, giving Irissia a small smile that could be taken as both gentle and playful. "Well, then tomorrow. I'll be there to help, you can count on it." And he was going to prove to her he would do nothing but help.

(lol ok xD)
Irissia nodded not speaking to Leon as she flicked around and left. Not even returning the smile to Leon. The girl grew cold towards fifty times as fast as she had warmed up to him. The daughter of Laelaps keeping in mind he was a lion, natural predator. Therefore a threat to her beloved orphanage.
