Irissia closed both her eyes. Not looking as she pulled the string back and shot the arrow downwards, her target being a small mouse trap set outside for some restaurant's weak attempt to capture mice. But she wanted to practice her archery, and she wouldn't try on moving targets, since this wasn't ancient Greece. She sighed opening her eyes and seeing she hit her target, like always.
She missed ancient Greece. She missed hunting the moving creatures, she missed not having to deal with disgusting monsters which were in far smaller sizes during her reign as Princess of Troy. She purshed her lips jumping from one roof top to the next until she reached the restaurant where the mouse trap was. Sliding down the railing and hitting the ground lightly. If anybody had been there during the time she had closed her eyes, they would've had a rather frightening surprise to find a arrow flying trough past them. Her blue eyes not paying much attention as she approached the night's shadows to retrieve her arrow.

Leon was taking a leisurely walk down the street, a hand going to his side to check it every nice in a while. He was inexplicably happy, and he had no idea why. It wasn't a prolonged happy where it could be easily dashed and stomped on, it was a calm and peaceful happy where life was going where it should and he didn't have anything to worry about. His happy seemed eternal. He was amazed on how fast the nasty gash had healed. He was going to stay away from Demeter children from now on. Heck, he was probably going to leave demigods and mortals alone from now on. It was smart not to go after a meal that would bite back, and he felt like he owed it to Tori.
Leon heard the familiar hiss of an arrow. He backtracked curiously, and it zipped in front of his path, striking a nearby mouse trap with perfect precision. He blinked in surprise, and respect for whoever had shot it. He looked around, finding no one. He scented an oncoming figure. It wasn't mortal or demigod. He assumed it was a monster, or just a harmless mythical being. Stepping from behind the shadows, he located the archer. It was a female. As she retrieved her arrow, he wondered who she was, or what she was. "Um, hey." He spoke a short and awkward greeting, unsure of how else to start. He was interested in her accuracy. It was fatal, and almost too precise.

Irissia didn't say much when she retrieved her arrow. But after she ran her fingers over the arrowhead which was still perfectly fine she turned her blue eyes to the speaker. Her eyes narrowing. She was tempted to use her dog's sense of smell to see what he was. But they were near a restaurant and she was quite hungry as well as broke. Having given all the money she earned that day to her orphanage for their new shoes.
"Hello," she said studying him through the darkness of the night. Her voice not friendly, and slightly cold due to the facts she wasn't sure what he was. Irissia was always kind to mortals, she kind to demigods at times, and was cold towards monsters, seeing them as nothing good. "Who are you?" she asked studying the boy with a slight frown. He didn't seem like a normal mortal boy. Too strong he appeared...his gray eyes also seemed a bit unusual for a mortal boy.

Leon met her blue gaze with his smoky gray eyes. She didn't seem too friendly, and he wondered what mythical being she was. He was good at reading the eyes, and they told him that something was distracting her. Most possibly her scent. She was a monster of some type, a mythical being, in case it offended her. He had met the ones that refused to be called monsters before. But anyway...the strongest scent was the restaurant's food. Was she hungry?
Leon gave her a small smile. "Leon. I'm Leon. You seem to want to know what I am instead of who." He shrugged, not really caring about his identity. Many monsters went by another name, but there was no need here. Leon never had a need to, even to mortals or demigods. "I'm the son of the Nemean Lion. I'm what you would call a monster."

She snorted at his reply "Well I don't really care for whatever band your going by this century," her voice going from the slight kindness to plain out hard and cold. "Well isn't that a creative name..." she muttered sarcastically as she noted he was son of the Nemean Lion.
She was silent at first. Wondering of he expected her to give him her own current identity. "Irissia," she said flatly not giving who her parentage was. He would eventually hear about her if not already. The master archer who never missed a shot not matter how impossible it was. That was her title nowadays. Strange it started as Princess of Troy, then Warrior of Sparta, later Poet of Athens, Hunter of Egypt, and Maiden of the German Royal Court. Now it was Master Archer. Ohh joy, but at least it hit her money.

Leon tilted his head at her sudden coldness, deciding he had indeed run into one of those beings that disliked the term "monster". He smiled slightly at her comment about his name, deciding to give her some credit for personality. It wasn't like he was going to mistreat his name and change it. His father had named him, and he decided to respect the creature that much. He walked over casually, not caring about her unease to him.
"Irrisa, I have heard that name." Leon bent down next to the mouse trap that had been disabled by her arrow, holding it up in front of him. "The archer that will never miss." He seemed to be musing at the thought before throwing the mouse trap back to the ground and standing. "Are you hungry? You seem so."

Irissia rolled her eyes "That fits part of my description," she said kicking the mousetrap aside after he had set it down. The fact she was always given titles annoyed her. Sure she missed being princess because the power was enough to do what she wants. But it's not like she doesn't do what she wants nowadays. Her blue eyes glaring straight at Leon with clear unfriendliness. "No I dont need food at the moment," she said not at all interested in ever biting into the flesh of a mortal or demigod. Since as a dig she didn't obtain such a craving but rather prefered wild animals.

Leon looked at her in surprise. Usually, mythical beings or whatever she would like them called took pride in praise and titles. He watched the mouse trap slide away into the shadows with the clear sound of wood on concrete. "You sure? I was actually just going to eat." He jabbed his thumb in the direction of the restaurant. Ever since being with Tori, he had decidedly changed his diet. He actually lived like a normal mortal would, getting a job for money. He ate fast foods most of the time. He had to admit he missed demigod or mortal flesh, but he wasn't going to go there anymore. Not only was it dangerous with prey that could bite back, but it did seem immoral to Tori. He had to respect that.

Irissia's eyes narrowed. She was hungry, she wouldn't deny it to herself. But if he was going to buy food rather than hunt it,she didn't see a problem with that. But then again she wouldn't be sure if he was buying or hunting food because she didn't know if he had money. "How much do you have?" she asked wondering if he even bothered getting mortal money without killing the mortals he probably got it from. Since she doubted he was a...vegetarian lion, I suppose you can say.

Leon studied her with his smoky gray eyes, and decided that she was just cautious rather than unfriendly, which amused him. She was one of those don't-eat-people monsters-whoops-mythical beings. At her question, he shrugged, digging a hand into the pocket of his jeans to retrieve his wallet. He had stolen it from a mortal he had eaten weeks ago, and he had decided to use it. He kind of felt sorry for the guy now that his viewpoint for them had changed.
"Well, I have a couple of twenties in here...about two hundred?" Leon really had no bank, so he kept all his money with him. What was the chance of someone trying to steal from him? No, what was the chance of someone stealing from him successfully?

Irissia rolled her eyes "I bet you didn't get that money from work," she told him. Walking towards the restaurant. Which could be a nice way of her saying that they could eat. her blue eyes not any kinder than before.

Leon looked up from his wallet with a small sigh, "Well, sure not all of it, but most of it. It's not like I'm stealing from them anymore, or eating." He mumbled, not really caring if she heard. Well, if she was part some type of animal, she would have anyway. He doubted she cared. He jogged after her into the restaurant, blinking as a waiter stepped in front of them and led them to be seated.

Irissia was part dog. But in human firm didn't have a dog's hearing. In mortal form she was completely normal, no special abilities other than never missing a shot and always catching her prey. Which had more to do with scent than hearing.
Her blue eyes then turned back to Leon "Since your a lion I suppose you aren't vegetarian," she said frowning slightly at the giant bowl of salad that was at the entrance of the restaurant.

Leon sat down as the waiter handed out the menus. He raised an eyebrow at her, "Why can't I be? I'm part lion. Besides, I've been adapting since..." He trailed off, trying to remember when he had moved into New York and pretty much lived like a mortal. He almost never revealed his lion form because he didn't enjoy it. What could he say, it made him crave meat. "Um, forever, but anyway, yeah, I'm not going to eat all veggies, of course."
The idea was kind of ridiculous. He scented for the first time mortals on Irissia. She must have been hanging out with them. He hoped he didn't smell like demigod, or just plain Tori. "Um...so what mythical being are you exactly?"

Irissia could scent Tori on Leon. But she figured the demigod was a unfortunate victim of this...monster. Her blue eyes narrowing "Yeah your definently adapting, it seems like you have no problems catching prey." she told him quite coldly.
What was she? She snickered "I always catch my prey and my father is in the stars." she told him her pride dripping into her voice like sweet syrup with a sarcastic edge "I'm daughter of the one and only Laelaps," she told him. She felt no shame in being part dog, loyal and patriotic, courageous and protective, and to add to that she never missed. She was the perfect bodyguard if necessary as well as hunter. Then again her words may be a lie as far as Leon would know. The faint scent of Aphrodite on her and the obvious markings of Artemis on the arrows. Irissia being gift of Aphrodite, which explained her slight degree of beauty, and friends with Artemis explaining the beautiful silver arrows
