Tori for one wasn't stupid. Seeing that Carter was still watching her like some watch dog, and it was quite annoying. So annoying that she started playing scenarios of how many ways he'd react to pepper spray. Or having the house on fire. A faint smile at the edge if her lips as she pictured the different possibilities. Maybe he'd stop watching of she sprayed his face...it as harmless....it only burned your eyes, no big deal...

Leon smiled at them both, throwing a disgusted glare at the saucepan before it was carted away. "It better work, or I just did that for nothing." He commented to no one in particular. When Arcane returned, he lingered farther away from the two. The tension was obvious, and staying in the same room with the both of them was definitely going to lead to violence. "Um...so, I'm feeling better now, I think I should just go home and stop bothering you two.."

Tori nodded and got up "I will go home as well. I have no need to linger," and not awaiting a responce she turned and left. Biting her lip slightly and heading in the direction that Arcane had said her house was. If she couldn't find it in ten minutes she would call Kyria once more, but she wouldn't bother the old lady unless necessary.

Leon watched her leave, a little bit longingly, too. He Reverted back to his normal self and turned to give Arcane that small and sly smile of his. "Um, yeah, sorry about that fiasco. You gonna go back to the subways too?" He asked him curiously. He was a slight bit nervous around his friend now that he realized he had no way to explain his earlier actions.

Arcane shook his head. "No, I have other things to do," he said, glancing at his friend. He knew he should probably go back to the subways to draw less suspicion to him from Leon, but he had other things to do. In reality, he was meeting Jackie later that night and was just getting some fresh air, beforehand, before all this happened. He realized he should probably say something, however, to talk Leon out of spending any more time with Tori. "You really shouldn't get too involved with her, y'know," he said, crossing his arms. "She's a demigod. We eat demigods. Demigods hate us. That's how things have been for millennia and that's how they're always going to be. You can't change that - or, rather, you shouldn't change that."
The way he saw things, it was one thing to be friends with a mortal but a completely different thing to fall in love with a demigod. Monsters were raised on the fact the gods were evil and to hate them and their offspring. Mortals were like... like chickens. You ate them but not because you hated them - because you were hungry. Demigods were a whole different story.

Leon stood, listening to Arcane talk. His smile had faded somewhat at that. "I..don't know about that. Maybe change is good sometimes. She's just a friend. It's not like I don't know we don't mix." He knew very well. It was a problem he had come across already. He didn't like it because it simply had no solution.
Leon was surprised that Arcane wasn't going to return. He shrugged. "Well, I guess I'll go back by myself then. Have fun with whatever you're doing." He smiled at Arcane.

Arcane nodded, turning to the door, opening it, slowly. "You can't say I didn't warn you. These things just never work out well in the end," he told Leon, looking over his shoulder. "Good luck changing that." With a kind but doubtful grin, he opened the door, completely, and stepped out, closing it behind him. Love... he thought with a grin. Even makes monsters try stupid things. With that, he made his way toward Jackie's house, being sure to take an alternate route than the one Tori would be taking to her own house, as both Tori and Jackie lived in the rich part of Manhattan.

Leon watched him leave before turning back on his own way. "I don't need your warning...I know myself." He said quietly to himself as he headed back towards the subways. How come this reminded him of that stupid story Romeo and Juliet? They both died in the end, too. Well, his story wasn't going to be about love, just friendship...right?
