"Why do you care?" he asked, still suspicious of her, convinced she was an enemy. "After all, to you I don't exist, right? And neither does he," he said, pointing to Leon. He wanted to be angrier; wanted to be driving a sword through Tori, defending himself and his friend, but Leon was hurt and Tori truly did seem to care. It wasn't that he was going to trust her, it just seemed to him that Tori wasn't about to give up her act.

Leon coughed, sitting as upright as he could. He was catching his breath at the moment, and could do nothing but shake his head at Arcane. Finally, he forced his voice to work, directing it at the hazy figure that was supposed to be Arcane. "I'm not stupid. I've asked already. Her father's just paranoid for her, so she has bodyguards. I met her alone in the park when she had free time. She doesn't even have a weapon. I'm sure a demigod wouldn't be that stupid if they did believe in monsters."
The odd buzzing in his ears was quieting, and his legs were numb. Standing wasn't a good idea at this point in the game. He waved Tori away to show he was fine, even though it was obvious he wasn't.

Arcane paused, thinking the comment over, still suspicious. "So, you've given her an all-out security check?" he asked. "How can you know for sure. Most people never realize I carry a sword despite it's size and the fact it's just hanging at my side. A dagger or something would be much easier to hide than a sword so she could very well have one hidden, somewhere." Remembering his sword, he took a few steps back, clearing away the rest of the mist. Finding the blade, he knelt down, eyes still on Tori, and grasped the handle, rising once more and sheathing the blade, though still alert and ready to draw it at a moment's notice.

Dagger? "I do not have daggers on me," she shot at Arcane hotly Pepper spray on the other hand... she though wondering if monsters or whatever he was would be effected by it as she ignored Leon "Leon, your hurt...let me help," she said with a bit of a plead. Even when having someone here trying to kill her she wanted to help.
Monsters. A whole new issue. She was raised to believe they didn't exist. But yet she stood here staring at two. One trying to kill her the other she wanted to keep from dying. But she still couldn't believe it. I suppose that's what years of being told no does to you. She would just play along. Act like she believes. For the sake of their insanity. But her father will clear it up, he has an explination for everything...Her dad, what would he do when he finds out about this? The news would be infuriating, and surely the consiquences wouldn't be too great...

"I'm fine." Leon repeated, still not sounding convincing. He looked at Tori with expecting eyes. Then he threw a quick glance at Arcane. "Can't you just calm down and read the situation? She didn't believe in monsters. Still doesn't." He pointed out, reading the doubting expression off of the daughter of Aphrodite's face. He placed a hand gingerly against the wall and tested out his weak legs. The energy was being slowly drained out of him. He could sense that he was slowly weakening. "Im going to need a miracle. Anyone know a hospital nearby?" He joked, placing a hand against his burning side.

Arcane groaned at Leon, not believing Tori to be completely innocent but determining her as not an immediate threat and knowing Leon trusted her. "Still, if she had Ares bodyguards or whatever and you were going to her house, you were going to get killed, anyway, whether Tori meant it or not!" he said.
"Look, with that wound you won't even make it to her house. There's a place nearby. The people living there just moved out - I doubt the water's been turned off, yet. They moved only two days ago, so..." he offered in an attempt to make up for attacking Tori, though he secretly still stood by his actions and would still be watching her, constantly, sword ready if she made one wrong move. It was difficult to find a monster that had more on their minds than killing demigods - Leon being one of those monsters. Thus, he would be very protective, wanting him as a friend, not a demigod's next glorious kill.

Leon just shook his head at Arcane. Listening to his words, he realized he hadn't really thought it through. He was sure Tori would have prevented it though...hopefully.
Leon agreed with Arcane. He wasn't going to make it to her house-wherever it was. He knew it wasn't close enough. That was for sure. "I don't care where we go. I only know that if I wait any longer, I'm paying Hades a visit." Leon had been there before while reforming, and it wasn't a place to go. He would rather prevent that. Now that he thought about it, he was a fast-regenerating monster. It took one week. He guessed that was fast enough.

Arcane began to walk, eyes still on Tori, coming upon a house only about 5 doors down. "Told you it was close!" he said, loud enough for them to hear. He knew the area, well, this being one of his favorite hunting grounds. He'd practically forced the residents to move after eating the mother, leaving a thumb in the kitchen table. It was probably gone, now, but it'd surely scared them off.

Leon looked over at Tori as Arcane took the lead. He was still supporting himself by the wall. He held out his remaining hand. "I'm fine, just...You're probably frightened by him, aren't you? Do you still want to come along?" He asked, deciding to let her choose whether or not follow.

Tori took Leon's hand and wrapped one arm around her shoulder so she could help support him. "You're obviously not fine," she told him smiling slightly as she focused on moving forward but keeping away from that sword of Arcane/Carter.
Turning her hazel eyes to Leon she frowned slightly "Do you really think I would just leave you in your current condition?" she asked. She hid the fact she felt a bit hurt, and well insulted. Sure Aphrodite was known to be self absorbed and not necessarily one to be adventurous. But that didn't mean she wasn't. She unlike her mother had a sense of loyalty, as well as a sense of honor and pride. Her walk and poise demonstrates that.
Looking back at Carter she said in a bit harder voice "You know my guards are hired. Therefore they are obedient." a hint if annoyence shown in her voice as they reached the house and he clearly demonstrated distrust towards her. Who shouldn't even pose any threat at a glance.

Arcane laughed, opening the door and stepping into the house, knowing they would be following. "Yes, but who are they loyal to? You or your father? I doubt daddy will accept your choice to run around with a strange boy you met... where did you say? At the park?" he called out, a bit of a laugh in his voice. It was obvious he still refused to believe Tori to be innocent and, even if she was, he doubted Leon would be safe at her house.
"You were seriously going to walk into her house, wounded, when you knew she has children of Ares as bodyguards, Leon?" he asked, peeking his head out the door.

Leon shook his head, just glad that Tori was supporting him. He didn't think he could have made it any further without someone helping him. He stopped when Arcane poked his head back out from the doorway, making him almost jump. He didn't know why he was so nervous and easily surprised today. "Um...I..."
Leon paused, trying to sort his thoughts. He really hadn't thought it through. If he went to Tori's house, would the guards have stopped at her command? He was sure they would have. "Well, she said her father wasn't going to be at home..." He sounded pathetic, trying to come up with excuses. Getting irritated, he slipped past his friend, gently shaking of Tori to show he could walk by himself. He looked around the house, finding the couch. He sank into it with a small sigh, his head spinning. He let out a soft moan, feeling a migraine coming on.

Arcane rolled his eyes as Leon came up with an excuse, leaning against the wall opposite his friend. He didn't say anything but instead glanced between Leon and Tori, wondering what he should do. He could tell Leon liked this demigod but he was still suspecting Tori on having her mind set on killing him. He knew Leon would just reform, being a monster, but he didn't know how long it would take or how he may react. After all, the time it takes to reform, a monster's consciousness in in the Underworld and that's not the nicest place in the world, even for a monster, at times.
"You really should clean your wound as best you can and maybe try to get the blood out of that shirt... it may draw attention." Arcane knew if the wound continued to bleed, the bloodstain would grow and eventually it would be noticeable. Seeing as how the main goal of a monster is not to be noticed until it's too late, a bloodstain could prove to be a problem.

Leon let out another small sigh. His wound gave a painful throb and he sat forward, placing a hand against the cut. When it came away, his fingers were a bright red. "The stupid poison...is..." He narrowed his eyes. His vision swam. He felt more drained of energy than he had in a long time. Blood loss...? It was keeping his wound from closing up. Nope, he wasn't going to have that happen. He stood up from the couch, deciding that he had no other option. "Are there any towels, Arcane?" He reached into his pocket, pulling out a lighter. He was definitely going crazy. It must have been the poison clouding his judgement.

Arcane shrugged, turning to look. The family had left in a hurry so they hadn't had much time to pack. This meant some things - like the couch - were left behind, though they would eventually more than likely come and pick it all up, taking it with them. Arcane wasn't sure, however, if they'd left any towels.
With his back turned, he didn't notice Leon take out a lighter. Instead, he wandered around the house until he found a large cabinet with some towels and washcloths and spare blankets and such all stashed away. Taking two towels, not knowing what to expect and mostly just thinking Leon was going to soak up the blood, he closed the cabinet doors and began walking back to the two, wondering if he should have left Leon alone with Tori, even if he was just on the other side of the house.
