Tori felt anger rise through her. Her eyes flashing dangerously. "My dad doesn't have know be in every aspect of my life," she spat at Arcane. A fire inside her being lit by his words. It was strange. Maybe it was the sickness she was thinking about earlier?
Tori ignored Leon. Biting her lip and instantly calming down a feeling of anxiety now arising. And when he pulled out the lighter she frowned taking it away. "I don't think burning yourself will help..." she told him wondering if the poison reached his head.
She didn't know how to get it out, she was no medic. But she did know Kyria would help. Her housekeeper was about 50 and daughter of Apollo who had healing properties. Pulling out her phone she ran her fingers over the screen calling her house. Her gaze on the approaching Carter with caution and suspicion as she shifted away from him but still close to Leon.

Arcane shrugged. "He doesn't have to but he probably does keep more tabs on you than you think," he said, once he did return to the room. "From what I can tell, he's a bit overprotective." Tossing the towels over to Leon, still unaware he'd taken out a lighter since Tori had taken it away.
He didn't know what else to say, so instead he stood there, watching as Tori pulled out her phone. He wasn't very keen on any contact so, instead, he walked up to the demigod. "And who might you be calling?" he asked, eyes narrowed into slits as he gazed upon the girl with suspicion in his tone. He could make a good kidnapper if he ever tried. Luckily for New York, he didn't. He'd keep to murders without any suspects. He'd keep it to just random disappearances, any remains thrown in the river or out into the ocean.
Throwing things into the water wasn't that uncommon in the area. After all, it is New York - not the cleanest place on Earth - so he didn't draw any suspicion or much attention. Of course, he did have to be sure to stay away from policemen. Sure, it wasn't the nicest place in the world, but there were still laws that had to be followed. Littering and murder were two big laws - through they didn't stop the crimes from occurring.

Leon nodded in thanks to Arcane as he left to scavenge. "Hey!" He protested as Tori snatched awat the lighter. It wasn't like he hadn't done it before. He was fairly positive that the wound wasn't going to close up because of the poison, so he had to force it to close. "Give it back! Its not like I'm gonna burn myself to shes or anything like that!" He reached for the lighter in an attempy to steal it from her grasp, but he was clumsy and weak at the moment. "Then explain what other way there is to fix this?" He asked, then stopped as she pulled out her phone.
Leon turned as Arcane reentered. He caught the towels, immediantly taking one and going to wet it at the sink. If it was dry, it would just serve to soak up his blood, not stop it. He pressed it against the gash, trying not to wince at the stinging emanating from it. He walked over next to Arcane to watch Tori in curiousity. "Can I at least have it back?" He complained to the girl.

Tori's eyes narrowed "Over protection in some aspects but in others no protection. I'm sorry if you haven't noticed my current state and where I am," she said the last part with an edge of superiority in her voice as she rolled her eyes at him and wrinkled her nose and the foreign place.
She rolled her eyes at Carter her voice heavily sarcastic "Ohh I'm calling a bomb squad, and also ordering pizza." her hazel eyes making her growing distaste of Carter clear. Then her voice became more serious "I'm calling my housekeeper-" holding up a finger she spoke to the old lady. A crack sounding before she said haha what a joke, greetings<3 Matt, making Tori pause before speaking "Hey Kyria! I need you to come over...poison problem...yeah I suppose you can say that...no, you don't need them...ok, umm...yeah, it's through there...ok, see you in five minutes?...ok 10 good, thanks bye!" she said snappin the phone shut. Then flipping it over opening the back. Opening it she stared at where the battery was at. There...pulling out the small chip she flipped on the lighter watching the fire cautiously as she dipped the edge of the chip there and later dropped the rest into a trash can. The melted chip bits going down the sink.
Shaking her head she at first ignored Leon "Well you don't use lighters for amusement unless you feel like burning this place down. And let me add, I'm pretty flammable," which was true, she used quite a bit of hair spray and mousse to her hair would last through the day and then she was pretty sure she wasn't flame resistant. Since she didn't think it was on her being daughter of Aphrodite resume. She then said practically chucking the lighter at Carter's head "You decide, does burning yourself heal or not, either way he doesn't get the lighter until Kyria gets here?" she told the last part to Leon.

Leon watched Tori, a bit dymfounded. She could be authoritative when she wanted to. He walked over to her as she shot a few glares and some sarcadtic comments at Arcane. He didn't want another fight breaking out. It must be uncomfortable for his friend with a demigod. Then again, he did attack Tori, so her hostility was understandable.
Leom watched her call the housekeeper, unsure of how to react. His first instinct was to leave, since he didn't want to attract more attention. But if he did, there was no way of sealing the wound, let alone getting tha poison out because she had taken his lighter. "It worked every time..." He mumbled, trying not to add an undertone of a growl into his voice. He had to admit it had been excruciatingly painful every time, though. He glanced over at Arcane doubtfully, windering what he thought about it. He sighed, deciding not to go through the torture of burninf now that he had remembered what it felt like. "When she gets here." He agreed after a pause. Hopefully, she wasn't going to bring the guards with her.

Arcane wasn't sure how to react when Tori said she was calling her housekeeper. He stood by, eying the girl and listening carefully to every word she said and trying to make out what the person on the other end was saying, as well. "Tell ya what: Leon, no burning yourself. Tori, no more phone calls," he said as the lighter was thrown at him. He knew there would be no way for Tori to make any more calls since she melted her battery, which he was pleased with, but he still had to make sure this housekeeper - Kyria, as Tori had called her - was no threat.
It was any bodyguard's - or friend temporarily acting as self-proclaimed body guard because he didn't trust Leon's new demigod friend - nightmare. One small house with an unknown demigod, a poisoned friend with a sword wound, and a housekeeper coming with who knows who - if anyone - with her. He was unsure how trustworthy Tori or Kyria were and would have to stay alert to every movement they made, ready to attack.
His worries, however, didn't show. His breathing was regular and quiet. His eyes were calm and clear. He moved in a relaxed motion, not shaking nor stiff. He looked as if he was just surrounded by friends, or at least it would if it weren't for him stealing suspicious glances at Tori and Leon having a poisoned sword wound.

Five minutes had passed as Tori watched Leon and Carter and speaking of the lighter. "yeah, well this time healing yourself will not envolve roasting your skin," she told Leon grinning. Her smile at Leon, her obvious cold shoulder towards Carter, whom she probably wouldn't forgive for being soo stupid...and well idiotic. Did she really look like someone who would try to lure people to their deaths?
Her hand drummed a continuing beat on the wall as she awaited impatiently for Kyria. Her gaze turning to Carter every once in a while to make sure he hadn't pulled out his sword to kill her yet. Honestly, she would've loved to have Carter as a friend, because he seemed to be nice towards Leon. But the fact he tried to kill her or eat her or whatever he claimed to be doing, well it wasnt a declaration of friendship. At least not one Tori found very kind. And if trying to kill people was a way of making friends, then it was obvious why she didn't have any except Leon.
Bang...Bang... Tori sprung forward and to the door where an old lady with a wrinkled face and white hair stood. "Kyria!" she breathed happily hugging the old daughter of Apollo who was holding a rather large and suspicious box. But Tori barely looked at it. Kyria stepping past Tori and wrinkling her nose "Something smells foul here...and you look fine-" her soft brown eyes spotting Carter and the wounded Leon. Her smile fading. "You didn't say the help was for that," she said tossing her white head in denial. But Tori rubbed her arm "Come on, you can't let him die. It wouldn't be kind, you never abandon people," she coaxed her voice as silk as velvet as she pulled the old lady towards Leon.
She smiled at Leon. "Don't worry Kyria wont kill you," she promised. The old lady looked down at the young monster, knowing it was no demigod, nor mortal. "Messing with the wrong people," the old lady laughed shaking her head and opening the box. A vial of water inside as well as a jar of leeches, hot towels, and some sort of herb. Looking at the wound the old lady thought for a moment. Deciding to clean it with hot towels would be the best beginning. Her wrinkled hands moving over the skin lightly after it was wet. It would feel strange maybe to Leon, and it looked strange to Tori as she watched more liquid come from the wound than from the towel, the poison being pulled back slowly by Kyria, who didn't speak and seemed to be consentrating. Then switching towels she soaked up some water and a little bit of the poisonous liquid, the rest lingering around the blood that she didn't want to smear.
Pulling out a leech she placed it carefully on the blood, leaving it for a couple minutes to suck the blood and poison out. Without even having to pull it off the leech came off, the poison intoxicating it. Kyria smiling slightly "I took most of the posion out of your bloodstream, but I'm not sure how much it spread, so I may not have taken everything out. But the leech took whatever I couldn't wipe off away," she informed Leon.
Getting up she handed the herb to Carter "Do you mind brewing this in hot water?" she asked him "And be very careful, don't touch the leaves," she told him handing him a small stem sticking out of a packet. "You don't want to make them dirty," she told Carter.
Looking back at Leon she said "When your friend returns with the tea I would like you to drink it. Also I would want to request you to check back tomorrow so I can make sure all the toxins have been removed. The tea may cause temporary diuretic changes, and possibly stomach aches," she told him as a warning. Then turned to Tori, who stood Kyria walking away and to a far away corner. And Tori followed. "Your father will not be pleased." "I know," "Do you also know he knows you have been with this boy? But is yet to know he isn't mortal?" "No, but he doesn't need to know," "He will find out. Don't be surprised if you will find changes occur," Tori frowned looking back at Leon to make sure he was still fine. "I'll deal with it at home," she told her housekeeper reassuringly as the old lady shook her head and headed towards the door.

Leon changed his gaze from Tori to Arcane, trying not to get in the middle of their withering tension. Honestly, he wasn't going to take a side. He gave Arcane, then the daughter of Aphrodite a wary smile. "Fine, just this once, no burning." He rather liked the idea for some reason. Being who he was and what he was, healing was hard to do because of the lack of supplies.
Leon jumped when the knock went on the door. He peeked at Kyria from behind Tori. She didn't look threatening, but he knew better than to underestimate someone. He knew this was a demigod. The scent was more than enough to clue him in, and since she was supposed to be a healer, well, who other than Apollo was her father? That didn't cut out the fact that poison could be in her arsenal of knowledge as well. Leon had to say that he didn't trust her.
The fact that Tori seemed smooth enough around her erased some of his doubt. Unlike Arcane, he trusted Tori completely, though he didn't know why. He blinked at the housekeeper's comment about the wrong people, deciding not to be offended because it was possibly a joke. He took his original spot on the couch, allowing the daughter of Apollo to see the wound. He had to admit that he was afraid she would do something to him. It was hard not to see the leeches as a threat. The creatures downright disgusted him. He knew it was probably for the poison, but he still didn't enjoy the fact that he was going to need one.
Leon flinched at the touch, but stopped himself. It kind of hurt, but the stinging wasn't a big deal compared to the numbness and instability the poison was giving him. His mind cleared a bit, and his senses came back to life. He felt rejuvenated somewhat, but the pain had increased now that his senses had returned. He watched, slightly disgusted as the leech came away. He looked at Kyria, meeting her gaze for a moment. A demigod had helped him. The thought brought elation through him. He listen to her instructions and slowly nodded.
"Thank you." Leon told her, and he meant it. With most of the poison out of the way, the blood had slowed its flowing. He grabbed his roll of bandages from his pocket and carefully wrapped it around. The first layer was immediately soaked, but the second was a clean white. Still weak from excessive blood loss, he didn't feel like getting up. He looked over to see Kyria and Tori talking. He would have eavesdropped them with his keen hearing, but he made the decision not to. He still had to worry about tomorrow. The daughter of Apollo needed another appointment with him. Not at her house where the guards were....right?
"Sorry for dragging you into this." Leon turned to Arcane, smiling at him. He knew his friend was definitely going to be uncomfortable about this whole thing.

Kyria nodded at Leon when he thanked her. Looking back at Tori worried "I won't tell Mr. Sullivan this time because I believe you need this experience, but you will have to deal with the problem alone," she told Tori from the doorway as she left the house.
Tori sighed. Then walked over to Leon. Sitting down on the floor next to the couch where he was at. "So I hope she helped..." Tori said smiling at him warmly. Her words honest. She really wanted Leon alive, and not hurt or poisoned. Her hazel eyes watching his expression carefully as if searching for any sign of pain or distress. She then looked over at the wound "well if it counts, it seems to look a bit better..." she told him grinning.

Leon watched as Kyria left, tilting his head at a curious angle before Tori caught his attention. He threw a quick glance at Arcane before replying with a small smile, even if it was a little tired. "Yeah, actually, she probably just saved me. I owe both you and her one." He admitted. "It's better than burning myself." He added with a small laugh. He leaned forward, smoky gray eyes looking into hers. "Thank you."
Leon had to admit that he felt more than grateful. What was the chance of a demigod saving a monster? It was unthinkable.

Arcane glared at the old lady that came in - Kyria. But he was sure to soften his eyes when she looked at him, nodding and doing as he was told. He knew that Leon would die if she didn't help. If the herb she'd handed him was another poison, it would simply speed up the process and lessen the suffering. However, he didn't like the thought of Tori killing him. He sensed how Leon felt about her - it was in his voice; in his eyes. Her killing him would probably make him depressed and angry when he returned. Poisoning would be easier on him.
Looking down on Leon, he grinned. "Sorry?" he asked, quietly to where Tori and Kyria wouldn't hear. "You're just lucky I'm more concerned for a friend than hungry." With a glance at Tori and the leaving Kyria, he began boiling water. Being sure to hold the stem - and only the stem - of the herb, he placed it into the water. Soon enough, the juices in the leaf were mixing with the water. The tea would have been better quality had he had something to stir it with in order to get the most juices he could from the herb.
Searching for a cup, he found none so, instead, dropped a few ice-cubes into the tea to cool it, as well as it eventually cooling the saucepan, the ice melting away in the heat. Tea still hot, though no longer scalding, he took the leaf out with his fingertips, his hands in the tea for the shortest time possible knowing if it were in too long, the tea would be contaminated. After all, his hands were clean as anyone else's but it was still dirty enough to reduce the potency of the medicinal tea.
Taking the saucepan into the front room, he found Kyria gone and Tori and Leon sitting next to each other. With a glare toward Tori and a smile directed at his friend, he offered the saucepan. "There weren't any cups," he grinned, offering the handle, holding as little of it as he could with it still being firmly in his hand. "It's mostly cooled off. About a warm as hot chocolate."

Tori felt her stomach flutter and the heat rising to her face when she looked into his smoky eyes. A smile forming but before she could speak Carter showed up, saying something about missing cups. Her gaze snapping to Carter her smile dissolved as she glared at him. Watching the saucepan hoping that the tea wouldnt spill, since according to Kyria Leon would need it to ensure his well being.

Leon turned as Arcane re-entered. He gave him a thankful nod, taking hold of the saucepan. He tried not to look at it in a disgusted way, but honestly, his sense of smell told him the stuff was going to be bitter. He hated bitter. What was it anyway? What if it was poison? No, that couldn't be true. He finally made the decision to drink it down after hesitating. It was indeed a bitter mixture, but he finished it with no complaints.
Leon put the empty saucepan down on the floor, the leaves remaining. "Ugh, no offense, but it was nasty." He commented, wiping the corner of his mouth with his sleeve and wrinkling his nose. "So bitter."

Tori laughed "Well you knew it wouldn't be milk and honey. And that it was a herb, which when alone boiled into tea most of the time is bitter." she told him. Looking down at the empty saucepan "It looks like a grass...I know this one though, I wrote a report on it. It detoxified the blood, but in the process will make you feel a but sick...I know it was used in ancient remedies but I can't remember the name..." she said staring down at the leaves in deep thought.

Arcane grinned as Leon wrinkled his nose. Bad taste generally means the medicine works from Arcane's experience. Taking the saucepan, he set it into the sink, not bothering with the remaining blades of grass.
He wondered how potent the herb was, hoping it would help cure Leon of his poison as soon as possible. Vaguely, he wondered if the herb was a poison, itself, speeding up the process and making sure Leon died. HE shook the thought off, ignoring it and carrying on with what he was doing, standing in the kitchen and observing Tori out of the corner of his eye as he made it look as if he was busy - something rather difficult to do in an abandoned house.
