Leon watched him with a bit of suspiscion before following after him. Arcane was acting odd, but he didn't really pay it any attention. his question caught him off guard, though. He didn't expect him to be the one to care. "Yeah, it's poison. Now it won't stop bleeding." He replied.

Poison. Tori fidgeted with her sleeve. She wanted to hurry, since poison typically isn't good. Infact she can't remember a case where poison is good...zoning out she started thinking about poisons and antidotes. Zoned out. Tori could run into a stop sign right now and wouldn't notice until she fell. Maybe that was Tori's problem, she never focused on important or could be important conversations. Her body relaxed as her hazel eyes looking up at the sky then at the buildings around them.

Arcane shrugged. "Demeter, gotta hate her," he laughed. "And here everyone thought she was just an innocent nature goddess. Someone had to invent poison, right? Yep, good ole Demeter." Turning down an alley, he found it was a dead end. "Okay... did I take a wrong turn or..." Turning around, he said, "I'll be right back. I need to get a better view of where we are. I'm not used to this part of town." Turning a corner, being sure to be out of view from Tori, he changed into a dragon and rose into the air, trying to figure out where they were. He hoped they weren't lost - that'd be embarrassing and potentially deadly for Leon.
(You two can post a little while. Don't wait for me! xD I'll have Arcane gone for a few posts so...)

(ok xD)
Tori looked up to see the stranger dash off. Eyes narrowed she walked out of the dead end. And not having payed attention to what he said thought he left them in their own. Turning to Leon she said "Do you think you can use your kitty nose and try to find which way I came from this morning?" she didn't look at Leon. She couldn't bring herself to fully understand why he had lied about a supposedly friend. So instead she looked at the dead end behind him, then away ahead of her.

Leon couldn't really understand why she wasn't looking him in the eye, and it bothered him. He caught up with her, making sure no one was around to see his bloodied wound. He shook his head at her question. "I'm not a dog. My nose isn't that good." Honestly, demigods didn't come with heightened senses, monsters did. He left it alone, however. Tori seemed to be bothered. "Um, hey, what's wrong?"

Tori smiled slightly at Leon's reply that would have made her laugh. If she wasn't lost and with a person she couldn't decide how she felt for. Her hazel eyes turning to Leon for a moment. And she felt embarrassed. Maybe she was overreacting, maybe Carter was some random good guy friend who just happens to be in a dark alley when she needed help finding her way home. "We'll can't you just use a dog nose then?" surely he had more magical tricks...her face growing hot the more she thought about everything. Looking away she turned around and started heading towards the right, since surely going right would eventually led them towards a street.
But the dark shadows kept reminding her why she couldn't trust Leon. For one thing his wound shows he is capable of fighting, so incase he was going to attack he would do so easily since all Tori would know how to do is dodge and defense. And even then she had never been aim a fight and may be in shock. Then their was the fact he had lied to her about Carter, and she wouldn't mind if they weren't in a dark alley, Carter wasn't a demigod, and Leon hadn't confused his name. Then the last part was she wasn't sure what he'd lied about, was Carter not a friend? Or have they seen each other recently, and of so why lie? Was Carter a complete stranger who could possibly just kill her, since being covered and in a dark alley is a bit suspicious. Then again she was here herself...
Blinking when he spoke she didn't look at him. The insecurity having returned. "No...nothing's wrong..." she whispered the lie, her hazel eyes not on Leon. Where was she?
Looking back at Leon was a mistake, she cringed when she saw the wound again and instantly felt bad about lying. He was a friend who wanted to know if she was fine, why lie? Then again it wasn't like she could just say she was confused, lost, and frantically unsure if wether or not she trusted Leon or didnt, having only known him for a day and feeling safer next to him that away. Which is why she was away, the fact she felt safer with a stranger was...strange, and made her wonder if maybe she was wrong. Maybe he wasn't son of Hecate, maybe he was just going to hurt her...but he looked so...safe, kind...he couldn't do such a thing. And she felt it, but didn't know if she could accept it...

Leon tried to keep up with her. Her pace seemed to be quickened, as if she was trying to avoid him and keep some distance between them. He ignored the constant stabbing pain at his side that seemed to continuosly get worse. "Hey, if I had a dog mode, I would. I'm not a dog. I'm a lion, get your facts straight. I'm nothing else."
They didn't even know where they were going, and Tori just kept walking. He had a feeling that the more they walked, the more lost they would get. "Wait for a moment, will you?" He had to jog to catch up, touching her shoulder. "We should wait for Carter. He knows where to go, and we don't." They were in the darker parts of the streets now. The sidewalks were empty, no pedestrians. The place looked a slight bit run-down. this was definately not where Tori lived, from her description, and Leon kind of recognized the place. They were going the wrong way. This was the path to the subway tunnels. They were not to go there. The monsters were plentiful there.
Leon tilted his head at her half hearted reply. She was acting strange, and it didn't take much to notice. He let out a small sigh, "No, obviously not. Something's wrong, so just tell me." This time, he stepped in front over, bending down slightly so that his smoky gray eyes were at her level. "I thought you said we were going to be friends. You got yourself into this mess of helping me out, so I want to know what's wrong so that I can help you." He was going to stall her, not let her take a step further towards the dangerous place.

Tori smiled at his responce. Amusement actually touching her eyes before it faded into the dark alley they entered. "Well I suppose a lion can find his way back home better than I can...even if it's not a dog," she continued looking forward. Until she looked into the darkness and her smile faded. Could she trust him? Or was it just her feelings telling her to?
When he touched her shoulder she nearly jumped. Her focus had been elsewhere. "I suppose we can wait for him. But it doesn't seem like he's returning soon..." she said not pausing. She didn't even look at him. Though her shoulder was buzzing, from either being scared or wanting to go back into safety. This place was, she admitted, getting spookier, darker. And right now what she wanted most was to curl up into a ball and just wait for the darkness to pass. But she wouldn't let it show. Not yet.
But when he stepped infront of her she hesitated. Her hazel eyes looking straight at his gray eyes and she for a moment felt safe. She felt her body warm up and she could have forgotten she wasnt in a dark alley with a stranger she wasnt sure she trusted. Until she tore her eyes away and shook her head swallowing her fears. "...no nothings wrong..." she lied again. She hated lying to the person who currently made her feel a bit safer. Her muscles tensing at this thought. She shouldn't be feeling safe with him. Not until she knew him better...but looking back at his eyes she felt bad for mistrusting him. He seemed to care. He didn't look like he was acting, and for a moment she stood there trying to decide if she should trust him. She then blinked, her eyes looking down at the ground "...this isn't much of a mess..." the looking up she added "plus their is nothing you can help me with." she wasn't going to confess. What if he left and she never saw him again? The thought was displeasing, even if she barely knew him. He was her first friend, real friend, and she wasn't keen on giving that up...
Not looking at him she decided to continue her walk. His wound didn't seem to be getting any better, and if she made it home things would possibly get better right? He'd be better, and it wouldn't be soo dark and secretive here. The shadows hiding half of the alley. She side stepped not wanting to stand still. Her face blushing from embarrassment and her stomach feeling strangely hot. Which made her wonder if she was getting sick.

Leon noticed that she was tense. In a matter of fact, her fear spiked up the moment he touched her. He withdrew his hand quickly, able to sense her discomfort. He didn't want to be too pushy now. When she just brushed past him, he couldn't help but feel dissatisfied with her reply. He let out a silent breath that he had been holding in frustration. He couldn't seem to convince her in any way to tell him what was wrong. That just made him curious as well as a bit frustrated.
Leon shook his head and tried again, catching up to walk by her side. "At least walk the other way. I'm telling you this is the wrong way. I would know, because my house is down there." he had blurted it out, and he immediantly regretted it. It looked like a gangster territory neighborhood, and probably wouldn't improve the trust she had in him, if any. The tone of his voice changed, a bit more authoritative. "Don't go down there anymore. It's not safe that way. A lot of roue demigods are in that area." If anything happened to her, he realized, he would blame himself for it. This girl was getting inside his head, and he didn't like it that much. Maybe he did like it, he just wouldn't admit it.

She was getting sick! That must explain why being near Leon made her skin buzz and made her feel jumpy but very safe. Maybe that explains why she couldn't seem to concentrate on anything for long...then again she was a naturally active person...but that is besides the point. The only reason she was feeling so strange was because she was sick? Or she wanted to believe. She didn't know what she was thinking when she paused at the sound of his worry. Even if it was basked in the sound of authority, it was still worry.
Biting her lip she appeared to be in thought. It didn't take long to decide to just head left now, but it took longer for her to try to come up with her being sick theory. Having never felt as fuzzy as this before. Which was rather odd, surely she would have caught this illness before now? Oh well. Better late than never.
Looking up at Leon she was about to say they could just go to his place do he can clean up but decided better of it. Obviously it looked like he didn't want to go here. And she wouldn't force him to. Raising her hazel eyes from the ground to meet his stormy gray eyes she said "Ok...well then is to the left better?" she asked. She did trust him enough to ask him which direction they should go. Since clearly he has the better sense of direction...

Arcane had finally figured out where they were. He'd made a wrong turn, going right instead of left a while back. He quickly landed in an alley near where he scented Tori and Leon had wandered off to. He hesitated, turning back into his mortal form and lingering behind, not wanting to interrupt. But they were headed for the Subways, a place Arcane was sure Leon didn't want to be. "Yes, it is," he said, walking up, hoping his timing wasn't off. "That's where you need to be. we were supposed to turn left, back there. We went right, instead." He wasn't sure what to say, next, so he just turned around and began walking, glancing at Leon to see if his wound was getting worse, then at Tori, wondering how Leon could fall in love with a demigod.
Deciding it wasn't his business, though he would bug Leon about it for a while, he focused on directions. He was too go directly back from where they were, then take two lefts, walk straight a while, then a right. That should get them to the rich part of town. He noted the directions as Jackie lived that way, as well, and he had a feeling he'd be over there a lot more often.

Tori jumped when Carter spoke. Her hazel eyes instantly snapping away from Leon and back to Carter "Oh. When did you get there?" she asked startled. Then she started blushing. Was he there the whole time? Her cheeks were red as she turned to follow in silence. For a while. Or rather a minute.
"So where did you go? You sorta just.." poofed she made the sound and did the whole gesture with the hands. Since she didn't even notice him leaving either.

Leon was about to say more to Tori to get her to ease up when Arcane reappeared. He turned around, trying not to look relieved because his wound was getting continuosly worse. He looked back to watch Tori for a moment. "He was getting directions. Glad you figured it out." He told the other monster.
Not really paying attention to Arcane anymore, he turned back around to the daughter of Aphrodite. "Come on. You need to get back home, after all." As for her question, he didn't want to explain that he had the stealth of a monster. The subject was already seemingly touchy to her.

Tori nodded. So the guy she got to give her directions was getting directions...how...amusing...she smiled slightly. The color slowly leaving her cheeks. "So do you know how far it is?" she asked Carter since he's the one who got the directions.

Turning around at Tori's question, glad he didn't have to explain everything and Leon covered for him, he smiled. "Not far. We'll be there in maybe fifteen minutes? Maybe sooner? I'm not entirely sure as it all depends on how far down the street you live." He'd never really been on the street she was talking about, he just knew where it was. Taking the first left, he glanced back to make sure the other two were still following.
