Irissia rolled her eyes "Animal shelters don't shelter humans. All I need you to do is say you found me and didn't want to take me to the pound," she told him annoyed and rather sharply.

Crossing his arms, Arcane said, "Well, you could have told me that before turning into a dog and running off." He wasn't sure what to do so he got up and opened the door on the far side of the room. "Just stay here... for one night. Trust me, it's a lot comfier than an animal shelter... or so I'd imagine."

Irissia glared at him "So you can kill me in my sleep? Or keep me prisoner for your little hunts?" she snarled angrily. Her eyes blazing. In an animal shelter she felt safe. Sure she was in a cage but she knew nothing would happen she couldntbgrtvherself out of...

Arcane smiled. "Yeah, we're all going to chain you to a wall and torture you, letting your rage loose on innocent mortals to weaken them so we can go in without much energy being used." Realizing he may have gone into too much detail in that mock-plan, he laughed. "I doubt anyone, here, will mess with you." Leaning on the doorknob, he added, "Besides, if they did, you'd probably just kill them."

Irissia glared at him. She could just kill him now and get it over with. Maybe it would make her life more peaceful "Whereas in a animal shelter I'm warm, with company, and get a free meal," she said crossing her arms now. She frowned. Sure she could stay here. But an animal shelter sounded safer and more promising.

Arcane laughed, thought she did make a point. "Then get some other monster to take you in there. I'm not dealing with puppy Irissia any more after the trouble you gave me." Opening the door wide, he gestured for her to follow, not knowing if she would or not.

Irissia rolled her eyes "Yeah cause all the other monsters are soo fond of me," she muttered sarcastically. It was clear. She hated them. They hated her. She for one was proud, her head held high, second she was hard to fight, since she usually avoided fights or never missed to either kill or pin them. And three she was actually favored by gods. And it was obvious with Aphrodite's faint scent on her. Aphrodite visiting often to check on some requests and her toy, just to insure Irissia hadn't ran off with Arthenis yet.

Arcane's smile faded to be replaced with a look of annoyance. "Okay, fine. If you want to sleep in an animal shelter with the risk you can actually start acting like a real dog, be my guest." Then, almost as an afterthought, he added, "Would Aphrodite approve of you running around with dogs? She strikes me as more of a cat person." Smile returning, he shut the door, leaning against it while studying Irissia's reaction. He wondered if she was just being stubborn and prideful or if she really wanted to sleep in an animal shelter.

At the mention of needing approval Irissia's jaw clenched her muscles tightened as she held back the urge to either shot his head or jump at him in husky firm and rip him to shreds. Her dark eyes flashing in anger "I don't need Aphrodite's approval to go to sleep." she snapped "And no. She doesn't mind cause it's not like she likes your stench anyway," she snarled. Aphrodite didn't like the subways, not necessarily these, but in general she tended to stay away from Irissia when she was in the Subways just because they smell horrible and aren't very clean.

Arcane nodded. Obviously Aphrodite was a touchy subject... or approval... or both. He made note of that, making sure never to bring it up, again. Or, at least, not bring it up too much."So you're going to the animal shelter, then?" he asked, sighing in defeat.

Irissia glared at him, naturally. "Of course. Unless I get stuck in a Pound..." she said with a sigh as she walked towards the door and opened it herself. She wouldn't expect Arcane to act as if he found her and was nice enough to take her to an animal shelter rather than the Pound.

Arcane grinned, taking step forward. "Have anyone to get you in?" he asked, still wanting to make Irissia believe not all monsters were bad. It seemed unfair to think something like that when she had most likely never spent much time with monsters, meeting a few meaner ones and assuming all others were the same way.

Irissia glared at him suspicious. Her voice mocking him “I thought you didn’t like being around when I’m not in mortal form,” she told him rolling her eyes with clear distrust. Of course she didn’t trust monsters! They were evil, always the ones killing people!

Grinning at Irissia's comment, Arcane replied, "Which is why you're turning into a dog in the closest alley to the shelter and - what do ya know! - there's an alley right by the animal shelter closest to here." Walking past Irissia and into the hallway which eventually led to the hole in the wall - the whole place being part of a long-forgotten criminal hideout monsters occasionally seek refuge in, though only a select few know of it - Arcane stumbling upon it by chance one evening a few years ago. "Coming?" he asked.

Irissia rolled her eyes. But followed him out with no other snide comment. Walking out of the subways she turned to him "So which direction is this allow of yours?" she asked sounding rather annoyed.
