Silene watched the other girl coldly, eyeing the vines expertly. She leapt forward, springing off of the stronger vines with ease. She had picked out a pth already with her deep green eyes. the daughter of Khoine attacked, landing close and trying to push her backward where the jungle gym of vines had a large void. The foundation wavered, shaking off of her weight. It wasn't going to hold for long.

Skylar raised her sword to block, but not daring to let go of the vine with her other hand. Since the daughter of Athena had less control with one hand, though she had stopped most of the force of the sword, Silene's blade skimmed the fabric near Skylar's shoulder, making a rip in the cloth. Skylar took a step back, and the vines shook. She could tell the vines were close to collapsing, and silently willed them to stay stable a while longer. Skylar finally released her grasp on the vine, and swung at Silene, hoping that if the daughter of Khoine dodged, it wouldn't send Skylar flying off the vine.

Silencers having a little trouble keeping her balance, she had to admit, but it was only because the whole foundation wouldn't stop shaking. She was having second thoughts in taking this risk, but what was done was done; it couldn't be reversed. She would have to make what was best of it. She was mildly impressed that the daughter of Athena before her gathered up some courage and actually released the vine to attempt to swing out at her. Silene had no confidence in the thinner vine she had to step on if she took a pace backwards, so she blocked with her sword, catching her sword in a lock. Between the hilt and sharp edge of her glowing white blade. She jerked to the side, trying to either unbalance Skylar if she chose to hand onto her sword, or disarm her, both which seemed difficult to do on the shaking footholds below them.

Skylar's gray eyes widened as she realized what Silene was trying to do, but it was too late. The daughter of Athena was swung to the side as she held on. Well, it wouldn't do any good to let go now, since it would just result in her falling. For a second, Skylar noticed that she was not screaming and heading for her death because of how her sword was caught by Silene's. There was no time to think rationally. The corner of her lips lifting up slightly, and before Silene released her sword, Skylar jerked sharply on the handle of her own sword, hoping to unbalance both Silene and herself. She was aware that it would be her fault if they both were sent tumbling to the ground.

Silene thought just as fast as Skylar, not because she was smart, but because of her experience in fighting. Truly, her move surprised her, and it was a good one, too. She let go of her sword, allowing it to drop. She jumped onto a stronger vine, catching the hilt just in time. It left the daughter of Athena off balance and she swept a leg at her from her position. The vines were on the verge of crumbling soon anyway.

Her plan had failed--not that it had been much of a plan anyways. Oh well. Skylar was so stunned for a moment that she forgot to scream. There was nothing solid under her feet anymore. The air was loud in her ears as she fell. Wait, what? She couldn't die like this! Stupid Dionysus! Then her arms flashed out and grabbed a hold of a passing vine, and she hung on for dear life, breathing heavily for a while, trying to regain her breath. Now Skylar was glad they had been fighting so far up, for it had given her time to react and save herself. Grinning, the daughter of Athena swung back on a more stable vine, and started to climb back up to meet Silene again. She was now confident that she wouldn't die that easily when the vine under her suddenly burst into pieces of plant and she dropped seven feet to the ground, landing on her feet, though it was rather uncomfortable since she had forgotten to bend her knees.

Silene hopped down the vines as they began to fall one by one. She chose any that looked strong enough to hold her weight for the moment, it was no time to be choosy. She slashed the rest of the vines away, helping it collapse behind her. She grabbed a long vine that wasn't too thick, but a good size for what she planned to use it for.
Silene spotted Skylar regaining her balance. She sprang forward and swung the vine out like a whip at her Opponent, releasing it in the process, then stabbing out at her.
