Silene waited patiently, watching the girl make her way up to join her with minimal interest. She waited a moment, giving the other girl a moment to prepare herself. Her winter green eyes were cold and calculating, as if reading her like an open book, knowing her next move in the fight.
A cool mist the color of her snowy hair and papery skin clouded around her in swirls. The temperature dropped to subzero freezing. The water molecules condensed, gathered like a cloak around her. They caught in the sun, shimmering iridescently. It had been a habit of hers to fight in the freezing temperature just because it was her habit. She waved it away, their beauty short lived as they shattered, falling onto the vines and slipping away. "When you are ready. Take your position." Silene said with her voice an icy steel. Then, she slashed downward, severing a part of the vines, making the foundation unstable. She sprang upward, causing the whole formation of vines to shake. She landed to the side of Skylar, vines still wavering unstably. She herself had sometruble with footing. She took a moment to collect herself. Then she swung her sword in a crystal arc at her side.

Renate was a martial art master. She laughed "and outside this tournament you get to use ice and wind. So I suppose its fair."

"And control the temperature," Zeke added, lightheartedly for once. "Never underestimate a good frostbite." He was actually enjoying this tournament, now, so much he was being nice. Strange how these things work.

Renate laughed. Her sword having missed, obviously. So she resorted to a nice little step forward "A lot of other things I'm sure. And I'm sure we can talk all about it." She grinned with a wink "after the tournament!" She made a motion to trip him. Then pushed forward with a quick and precise punch at his face.

Zeke fell, but to Renate's probable disappointment, he spun himself out of the way, though he was forced to throw his sword out of his hand so he could catch himself without hurting his hand. In an instant, he was back on his feet. "I don't just rely on my powers," he said, matter-of-factly. He could fight without a weapon much better than with a celestial bronze sword. He didn't expect to win, but he would give it his best... without using his powers.
A new Zeke was showing today, or, rather, an old Zeke usually now hidden behind pure power and threats. He'd thrown away that part of him, long ago, though he couldn't remember it.

"Don't worry. I can inflict damage without weapons as well." A bit of a threat in her voice. Pride in er brown eyes.

"Oh, I'm sure of it," Zeke said, laughing, something he thought he'd never do unless it was followed by a threat. "What an awkward circumstance," he said, grinning. "Sword-fighting is fine between a girl and a boy but hand-to-hand combat is a big no-no in the gentleman handbook." His eyes gleamed mischievously as he eyed his opponent, awaiting for her to make a move or lower her guard for just a second.

Renate kicked the hilt of her sword upwards. Catching it without hesitation "Zeke the gentleman? We'll as a gentleman I suppose you want the lady to go first. Then again. Gentleman normally don't fight ladies. Let alone ones that could make their image look bad." She grinned lunging forward as if fencing but with a heavy, short, sword. Her sword was like its own person mkvig forward as she used her other hand to move to the side and get closer to Zeke himself to actually end this fight

Still without his sword, Zeke improvised. Namely, he just dodged every strike Renate threw at him. "Oh, I think my image will be in tact after this fight," he said, though he knew he would probably lose. Still, he midas well have fun with it.
With a few memories coming back to him, Zeke remembered something he hadn't done in years, apparently... which was quite fun and pretty show-offy (xD like that's a word...). Spinning around, Zeke grabbed the hilt of Renate's sword, pulling it from her grasp. His other hand was busy jokingly putting his arm around her shoulder. "You don't mind if I borrow this, right?" he asked, laughing.

Renate let him take the heavy thing. Grinning she twirled out or his arm and with a brilliant laugh smiled "of course not. And send my regards to the knight your giving it to." She then beckoned him to attack with it. Feeling more natural with martial arts than with the heavy sword.

Realizing just how heavy the sword was, Zeke threw it behind him, far enough to where he was confident Renate wouldn't be able to grab it back. "On second thought," he explained, "I think we should do this the fun way...." Renate was far away enough to where Zeke couldn't just take a step and throw a punch. So, he ran and went into a dropkick like in soccer/football/the name varies depending on where your from. Instead of kicking a ball, however, Zeke aimed at Renate's lower legs, hoping to trip her. He was sure to be alert and able to jump back up at a moment's notice as dropkicks weren't the safest move.

Renate watched him approach and instead of just standing there stepped back far enough so she coups have more time to study his movements. Seeing him aim a kick she reached wig self defends. Lower block then a quick punch at his race before pulling back her feet never still as she bounces slightly as if sparing.

When Silene cut the vines the first time, Skylar was already unbalanced, desperately grabbing for a vine to hold onto. Gods, she felt like a joke as Silene leaped up. At least it seemed like Silene wasn't perfect at this either, but at least a huge amount better than herself. Skylar let go of the vine and relied on just her feet for balance, blocking Silene's sword with her own. She was glad that her sword hadn't threatened to slip out of her hand, and tightened her grip on the handle for reassurance.

Silene was mildly impressed that she had the ability to stay blanced. The white haired girl swung her blade around again in an arc and brought it down at her head. Her deep green eyes were rich and alive. Though cold, they showed her strength and that she loved nothing more than to test her akills on someone. No, she was not violent prone, too logical for that. She just liked to prove her own worth.

Zeke blocked the punch at his face with his forearm, knowing there would probably be a rather large bruise there. But he spun around and was perfectly balanced a moment later. Had he gone through the same training Renate had - which he could have, for all he knew, with the lack of memories - he would've made an excellent martial artist. He was lean and agile, but had enough muscle to make a punch hurt quite a bit. For now, however, he would have to rely on instinct. "I didn't realize this was a boxing match," he teased, grinning. "There's no need to be bouncing up and down like you just ate a barrel of M&Ms!"
