Eyes gleaming at the confidence in Renate's voice, Zeke let out another strand of laughter. "Okay, maybe on the ground. But can you honestly swing a sword up here with all these branches?" he asked, knowing the answer was a 'no'. Not waiting for the reply, he turned and jumped over to the tree they were just on, but he was two branches higher than the one with the vine dangling from it. He climbed four more branches before jumping to a new tree. He'd lose Renate before sneaking up behind her and pinning her against the tree.

Renate frowned. He had a point...so she decided to use the sword with her cutting deeply into done branches do incase he stood in them they would break. She then dropped the sword into the distant ground to persue him. Only to find him missing. Frowning she grabbed the branch above her and swung onto it to try to find him and settle this quickly. (um I wasn't sure if he already pinned her or not so I will leave her reaction to that in the next post )

(No, he didn't pin her, yet. I actually intend on that going wrong and Renate winning. I was also thinking maybe making Zeke a little nicer after this... or, at least nicer to Renate. He needs some sort of friend. It's too boring for me to make him hate everyone... though it does have it's fun moments.)
Zeke had disappeared, running deeper into the woods. Mr. D had never said they had to stay in the clearing. He really needed to be more specific with Zeke as he would find and exploit every loophole he could find. Deciding he was far enough, he climbed about ten branches higher, as he couldn't climb higher since the higher you got, the close and thinner each branch was. Jumping from tree to tree, he arced around his path, trying to find Renate. But he decided to rest for a moment on a large, moss-covered branch. For the first time, he realized how he had changed during this tournament. He was cruel and full of pure hatred toward everyone - or so he made things seem. Now he was having fun - enjoying himself for the first time he could remember... or, in other words, the first time since he'd arrived at camp a couple months ago. He was being nice to Renate, playful, in fact!
Shrugging the thoughts off, he continued his silent arc around the woods until he found Renate on a branch several feet away. He hid for a moment, his breath as soft and silent as he could make it. He waited for Renate to move on a little more. The branch she was on didn't seem like it would be able to hold them both and he didn't want her to fall. He didn't want to hurt anyone.
(With how this is turning out, I think Zeke might end up liking Renate... xD)

(lol xD sounds good all the way through xDDD haha and Renate may flirt with Zeke afterwards a bit. But I suppose it's how things turn out xD)
Renate's eyes narrowed as she searched for Zeke. Not spotting him she hopped onto the next branch which was slight large and thicker. She frowned slightly. Battles usually don't evolve hiding...she thought. Then smiled. It makes it all more exciting though!!!

(Yeah, I guess it is! Actually, now I was thinking Zeke pin her up against the tree and succeed in that, but Renate get him away and he falls down to the ground. But they aren't high enough for it to injure him, just enough to make him feel a bit dazed and maybe Renate drop down and pin him to the ground with a sword?)
Seeing his chance, but getting a better angle, Zeke darted around to another tree and climbed onto a long branch until he was practically right on top of Renate. Grinning he dropped down and landed on the branch right in front of Renate, forcing her against the trunk of the tree. "Hello, again," he said, smiling.

(lol ok xD)
Renate stepped back into the tree trunk. Her eyes narrowing slightly as she studied his posture quickly. She smiled stepping forward do she was staring straight at him a smile on her face "It's nice to meet your acquaintance, though I do admit. I must get going!" she smiled and dropped underneath her but instead of falling she grabbed the branch Zeke was standing on and flipped back onto it, this time behind Zeke. She then attempted to trip him. Which would be easier on a branch. Since it is a branch.

Caught by surprise, Zeke had no time to react. He was in midturn - unbalanced - when Renate tripped him. Without enough time to catch himself, he fell to the ground, which was thankfully only about 12 feet below. "Ow..." he muttered, hoping they were far enough into the forest that the audience couldn't see.

Renate jumped down quite quickly. Branch by branch until she was 6 feet above and she just jumped straight down. Landing softly on some of the half-melted snow crowded around trunk. She picked up the sword she tossed down earlier and looked down at Zeke a smile on her lips as she put the blade to his neck "Well hello there," she laughed

Zeke coughed in reply before taking two fingers to the blade, softly moving it to the side and getting up. He glared at Renate, but the glare quickly turned into a laugh as he turned around. "Rematch, sometime?" he asked, picking up is sword and turning back around with a grin stretched across his face. It was the most fun he'd had since he arrived at camp, and he planned on doing it again, if Renate was up to it. Looking into her eyes, he smile faltered, momentarily, before again spreading across his face. A thought popped into his head, one he would be sure to punish himself for, sometime. He wasn't sure how to react to it, so he tried his best to ignore it. But it stayed in his head and wouldn't leave. And most could guess what it was just by the look in his eyes.

Renate smiled then winked "You know I'm always up for a fight. Though using your powers may make it more interesting," she smiled holding out a hand to help him up. Renate looked down at him. And smiled a laugh bubbling off her lips. Being South Korean she wasn't sure what the look meant but she found it new and amusing. Normally Zeke was suppose to be the cold heartless boy who tried to destroy camp. But he just seemed normal to her. How did people think he was cold?

Zeke smiled, taking her hand. "Then I'll hold you to the challenge," he said, laughing. Slowly, he began making his way back into the camp, wishing they were still in the tournament, still in the forest, climbing on the trees. He hoped the next time would be longer and just as fun.

Renate laughed "I hope so, cause I don't want an easy win," she said a bit cockily. Waving goodbye she watched him leave and she grinned planning on how to start off the next challenge. Her brown eyes soon turned away from Zeke though and towards the trees. Wanting to hop through them once more she climbed back into them. But as she hoped towards camp she couldn't hell but frown slightly. Sure it was tiring. But it wasn't fun... "I suppose Zeke will be unfortunate to be my training dummy," she said with a grin to herself.

Zeke arrived back in camp, still laughing, slightly. "Renate won..." he sighed, acting disappointed. With another grin, he said, "I guess that means I'm done?"
(I think I'm done in this thread unless Julien somehow gets involved in things so... bye! xD)

(yup. I'm gonna just watch the thread until someone gets Silver involved into a fight xDDD)
Renate practically hopped into her cabin with buzzing excitement. Some of her siblings congratulating her and patting her back. She grinned and grabbed her iPod. Plugging in her earphones she fell into a quick nap. The music in her ears.

Skylar nearly shrieked as the vines shook, and grabbed the nearest vine in a death grip. She glared down at Zeke when she realized he was the one who had caused the disruption, and silently cursed him under her breath. The daughter of Athena had reluctantly let go when Silene swung down and caused the vines course to sway dangerously. Skylar yelped and hopped to the side, holding onto a vine again. Skylar squinted at the vines, wondering how to be able to make it across without the whole thing toppling over. Finally, with one hand around the vine above her and the other around her sword, Skylar slowly edged sideways onto a vine, eyes darting between Silene and her feet. She hoped she had thought this out right. Try to avoid where the vine wobbles and the thin-looking parts, and you'll most likely be okay.
