Tori bit her lip thoughtfully "I can make no promises. But I can assure you that I will not go searching for whoever 'she' is" she told Leon with a sigh. Leon wouldnt appreciate it if he found Tori looking for Kim. And Tori had to be stupid to search did her without at least learning how to use a sword.

"Then...at least try not to do anything dangerous." His grip loosened quickly, and he let go of her. He was obviously scared for her. "You won't need to search for Kim. She wants to find you, and she will eventually. I don't want that to happen before you can defend yourself, okay? Kim is...the leader of our home, in a way. We monsters live kind of in a complex. That's why this area isn't safe for demigods."

Tori nodded with a sigh "Leon when was the last time I conciously did something dangerous?" Never. Tori had always been the obedient daughter of the richest man in New York. She had always been good, kind, innocent, oblivious, and naive. Maybe stubborn and hot headed as well, but always oblivious and naive.

Leon forced a small smile at her when she said that, though his expression was still wary. "Alright, that's true." He ruffled her hair with a small laugh. "I was just...nervous, I guess. It's not safe here. I think that some monsters have started to detect you. They should keep their distance if they sense me. It's a sign that you're...um..."taken". Let's get you home, okay?"

Tori wrinkled her nose and made a pouting face "AWWW but it took me an hour to fix my hair this morning!" she said trying to flatten out her blonde hair even if she knew she could pull off the look. She smiled at the next comment laughing "Well that's nice, I wouldn't want to run into more cats," she teased him giving him a hug before stepping back at holding has hand leading him towards her house her pace slow and casual.

"Oh please, you look fine! You always do, always will." He gave her a sly, sideways glance, then suddenly sprang forward to ruffle her hair some more, "When you can be able to keep me from messing up your hair, then you can protect yourself. You have a long way to go!" He kept his grip on her hand loose as they walked down the street looking like a normal couple. "You actually know the way this time?" He joked with her, following along.

Tori rolled her eyes and tried to brush his hand away as he continued messing up her hair as she tried to duck away from him laughing. She the stick out her tongue like a childish kindergardener "I could have attempted to remember the way from last time, I don't exactly want another one of your friends to ever so kindly give us directions," she said with a brilliant smile referring to Arcane.

"You have a bad memory, though, last time I checked. You led us in the wrong direction to my friend." Leon countered with a teasing grin, "Seriously, though, he's a nice guy, he just never really trusted demigods, much like demigods don't trust us monsters." It was the way relations worked between the two species almost all the time.

Tori tilted her head to the side "And why is that? I trust you, and you don't hurt me. Infact you actually protect me. So why can't others do the same?" she asked despite how naive it sounded. She couldn't see why anybody would ever hate Leon...

Leon paused, wondering if answering would change her opinion about him. He spoke up anyway, "Well, I was raised in a place where the humans had chased out all the prey. The only food left was...well...people. It became a habit because it was essential for survival. Almost all of us ended up like that. And then the gods send in one of their children to obliterate us because we become a problem to their worshippers. No one wants to die. We were never really made to coexist."

Tori didn't reply at first nodding "So you guys don't have to eat humans anymore because their are other foods available in restaurants now. So demigods don't have to kill you if your not killing worshippers. So you can coexist," she told him brightly. It didn't seem like a bad idea in her head.

He was silent for a while, trying to think of a good way to tell it slowly for her. "Look, Tori, I know you want everyone to be peaceful and all, but a lot of us...have learned to hate your kind for far too long. Even I couldn't think about being kind to them because of my past, until I met you. Some- all- of the mortal food isn't enough. Some of us need...um...you know, to survive." His eyes were slightly sad, "I don't mean to come across as impossible, but honestly, I think I can't stay in my home now that word's gotten out that I'm...friends with you."

Tori bit her lip feeling guilty "I'm sorry...for getting you kicked out of your house...and for ruining everything..." she told him softly her hazel eyes falling to the ground as guilt washed over her. If Leon hadn't meet her he wouldn't be homeless. Homeless for a simple daughter of Aphrodite, wounded for someone who couldn't even survive a day on the streets. The thoughts made her sad. It was her fault, and she doubted shed be able to fix it.

"Hey, what's this?" Leon bent down, trying to get her to stop looking down at the pavement. "Hey, Tori, look at me," he gave her a small smile, "None of this is your fault, okay? I just wasn't careful enough, and I made the choices myself. I'm glad to have met you, and wouldn't want it any other way. What I was kicked out of wasn't a house or a home. I'm used to things like this. I've lived for a long time, and this isn't the first I've been driven out of somewhere. Just don't worry, okay? I can adapt easily."

When Leon told her to look at him, obediently her hazel eyes moved upwards to meet his smoky gray eyes. The daughter of Aphrodite still biting her lip as she tried to get rid of the still present guilt. "But now your...homeless," she said shaking her head. Homeless sounded sad. Like he had no one there for him...and that made Tori feel even guiltier. Despite the fact he was trying to convince her it was not her fault.
