Leon shook his head with a small smile, brushing a hand softly along her silky hair. So badly he wanted to cling to her once more. Except this time, maybe he wouldn't let go. that was why he couldn't. "Tori, you have to stop asking questions and start looking for answers. You will see me soon. I'll be watching you. The people there won't be mean to someone as nice as you. I'm sure you'll fit in and like it." His eyes were slightly sad, but positive to match his voice. He was trying to do this for the best, but it was hurting him also. He just wouldn't show it.

Tori sighed stepping close to Leon and pressing her cheek to his chest as she hugged him tight not wanting to let go. Eyes tearing up slightly she whispered "But I don't want to say good bye...even if it's temporary..." her voice was soft and smooth.
She feared the new school. But not as much as she feared never seeing Leon again. The thought made her wallow up in despair. Like she couldn't breathe. All the earth suddenly became black and white without him, the possibility of him being out of her life made the grief and fear appear. And she was too scared to take the chance of letting go of Leon and leaving.

Leon steeled himself as she pulled him in, growing stiff like a wooden board. "Tori, please..." He couldn't really finish his sentence, and his voice cut off in a crack. "I will visit, I promise. The travel time for monsters is different for you mortals and demigods. I know some centaurs." He smiled, finally returning the hug and letting out a breath. He had to have self control.
"Just go. You'll be fine. It's for your safety. Think about me. Do this for me. What would I do if I couldn't protect you?" He put a hand on her blonde head and patted like he was comforting a child.

Tori looked up at Leon not knowing what to say. Her hazel eyes delicate and soft, shiny, she was biting her lip when he finished his question. "But you don't need to protect me... I have guards..." she told him being a bit stubborn. Well that was Tori for you, stubborn, reluctant, and quite persistent. But at the moment maybe even a bit frail and fragile, she felt dread. She hadn't even left and she already missed him. Even if it was temporary she couldn't know what would happen to him after she left. What if her father sent out another assassin? The thought would make her furious, but right now all it did was make her feel useless.
Leon at least could protect himself as well as her... Maybe she should leave... She eouldnt even be able to protect herself...not without training...

"Your guards cannot stand against a whole gang. There are many of them. They have mostly lived to experience...everything. And their leader is especially...cruel. I don't want anything to happen to you." He pulled away, holding her away from him at arms' length just to make eye contact. With a small smile, he spoke up, "You're stubborn. Just do as I say, okay?"
He looked around, confirming that there were no monsters about. "I'll walk you home. In the meantime, when do you want me to sneak over?" The first day she settled in, maybe. She could give him permission to enter the borders, and then he could slip around to visit her when he wanted in the future.

Tori's hazel eyes studied Leon's face quietly as she at first didn't respond. Her head then bowed slightly "I suppose if that's the best thing..." she whispered in a barely audible voice. Her eyes studying her shoes as she tried the fight back the sadness she was feeling. Despite his words she still didn't want to leave.
Tori then looked back up at Leon when he mentioned a day to visit "As soon as possible," she said without thought nor hesitation. Then regretted the words which may have made her seem a bit despret, her face blushing slightly.

Leon suppressed the urge to sigh, his stomach flipping and heart squeezing painfully. Tori was leaving him. Maybe since he was going to get chased out, he could go visit the daughter of Aphrodite more by living in the area. That could work. But everything he knew was here. He was letting her go in a way. If only she went to Camp Half Blood.
"Good girl," he whispered jokingly to her with a smile, "Now, let's get you home." He wrapped an arm around her shoulder for comforting reasons. "The day you get there, then. Swear me in, and then I can slip past the boundary to see you."

Tori sighed leaning her head against him lightly as she hugged him tight like a little girl hugging her father before he left for a long job in a foreign country "Ok...but it doesn't make me less unwilling to go...just makes me more anxious for this to sail past..." she muttered. The daughter of Aphrodite's hazel eyes looking up at the Nemean Lion.

Leon held her tight for the last time. He told himself to have some restraint, and that he had to be firm. "I will too, but I'll be watching you. I won't let anything- anyone- hurt you. If you're in trouble...you know...I'm there. this will be over soon. Don't worry." But he was worrying himself. He had a world of worry. He knew Kim was going to start rising.

Tori frowned at him "You know, everybody seems to be trying to protect me from something I havent ever meet...don't you think I should try finding out whatever you are protecting me from is and learning how to defend myself instead of have others get hurt for me?" she asked him.

He nodded, his chin on the top of her beautiful blonde head. Towards the end, his eyes snapped open. He pushed her away from him quickly, gripping her arms. "You can't! Absolutely not! If you do that, I-I'll... I'll never forgive you! She's dangerous. She'll kill you before you get a chance to fully take her in with your eyes. Promise me. Promise that you will never, ever do that! Or think about it!" His voice was filled with fear and desperation.

Tori regretted opening her mouth when he pulled away. Biting her lip she shifted weigh from one foot to the other "I won't. I won't lie. Leon I need to learn how to fight my own battles!" she told him "I need to find out how to defend myself because I can't live like a princess forever! Leon I only live once, how can I die with only memories of hiding behind you and a thousand guards and watch you get hurt?" she asked him

"Don't...even...think about it!" Though his voice was demandingly strict, it was pleading as well. He couldn't imagine what would happen if they managed to cross paths. His mind was consumed with paranoia at the thought. "You're going to the Academy to learn about what you're fighting! Please, just let them teach you, you'll learn. When you can protect yourself, I won't have to worry, but it's way too early."

"Leon," she whispered taking his hand "I'm not stupid enough to go into a fight blind, but I'm not stupid enough to walk around clueless anymore either." she stared straight into his smoky grey eyes "If you don't gain experience, how do you know you've learned? I can't tell where I stand if I can't even see where I am..." she told him.

"L-learn at the Academy. That's it. Promise me this one thing, okay? I know you have to protect yourself, but there's no reason to thrown yourself into the fight so early without experience. It's suicide, Tori!" He wasn't sure how to get her to understand. He knew eventually the cruel Fates would make them cross paths, but surely not too early, while Tori still couldn't defend herself?
