Leon blinked at her, watching the worry melt away from her face. He grinned in reply, feeling a spark of amusement inside of him. Really, children these days. Now how was he going to get her to believe in monsters? "Really? You believe in gods and demigods, but not the Greek monsters? I, quite frankly, am the son of the Nemean lion, hence my iron skin at some places. I just demonstrated for you. My arms are the same."
He grabbed his sword by the blade, plucking it from the ground by the sharp edge with unharmed fingers. He returned the weapon to its sheathe. "See? If you insist and need more convincing..."
Leon's smoky gray eyes glinted oddly, with catlike golden depths emerging in a strange light. His pearly white teeth bore fangs, and his features were slightly sharper. Full lion would wait for later. For now... his hand on the bench morphed into the full paw of a lion. The ebony claws were sharp and cruel. It was only a moment later that he completely changed back human, stretching. "Ah, the change is always uncomfortable, even if it's minor."

Tori rolled her eyes. "Let me explain to you. You can't fool me with your monster in the closet, or shadow under my bed. I don't believe in such stories," she replied tartly. She shrugged at his 'proof'. "As far as i'm concerned, you may be son of Hecate and enjoying a good joke," she replied with a shrug.
She took the sword from him not in the mood for more screeching and just stared at his paw. She was positive he wasn't a monster, she was positive. Wasn't she?
(sorry it's lazy...)

Leon frowned, a bit dissatisfied. He wondered what exactly he was supposed to do to convince her. "Nemean lion, I'm the son of the Nemean lion. I'm not sure how else to explain it, okay? If we're friend's, we shouldn't lie to each other." He did believe every word he said, and his tone was none other than truthful.
Leon looked around cautiously, and finally consented. No one was watching, and there was always the mist. His gray eyes took on a golden glint and there was a sudden change. His features grew sharper, longer, into a muzzle with whiskers. His already rather sharp white teeth elongated, fangs protruding. Golden fur with a golden mane fell from where his blonde hair was. The monster yawned, pink tongue curling in his mouth. "Man, I hate that." And he did. He rather disliked this form because he only changed in a desperate situation. Then he was back in a flash, stretching his arms. "Ugh...and as for being a Hecate kid, I ensure you I am not. I would have used a potion, and I didn't. I'm not sure how else to convince you. Maybe I should drag you into the subways where we live and let you see the empousa, they don't like demigods much."

Tori was still not convinced he was a monster "Honestly, I know monsters are myth. Like legit myth, not like greek god myth, since that myth was obviously proven true." she said gesturing to him. "And not all children of Hecate need potions," she replied with a shrug. She was sure their would be at least one demi-god child of Hecate that didn't need potions to use his or her gifts.
Shifting weight from one foot to the other she said "And I doubt you can drag me anywhere, if you tried all I'd have to do is scream and my bodyguards will come for me, they are children of Ares for the most part," she told him calmly. She had learned about the godly aspect of Greek Mythology from her private tutor who was son of Athena. Her father had payed him to convince her greek monsters didn't exist cause if they did they would have attacked her, and since they didn't then they mustn't exist. Such a clever tutor had convinced her that no such creatures existed by force of her father, who didn't want his beloved Tori to be afraid.

Leon stared thoughtfully at her. Suddenly, he was amused. His smile had a kinder touch to it than it did before. He could talk to someone who understood about his world without the possiblity of getting stabbed through. He was sure if he was spotted by her bodyguards, he would be screwed then. "Oh, very well then. I'm not being untruthful, if that's what you're saying. You can believe what you want. But very soon, you'll have to be sent to a camp of some type. The older you get, the higher the chance of an attack. Which, you don't believe in, so I might as well be telling it to a tree with a sleeping dryad inside."
Leon looked at her thoughtfully, and reclaimed his seat on the bench beside her. "But judging from what you say, your life sounds a bit like a drag. No freedom."

Tori grinned as he sat down, the change of subject pleasing. But the new subject did arise a bit of annoyence and frustration from her. Tori's hazel eyes narrowed "My life is safe, secure, full of money, pleasing. But nothing more, you're my first unhired friend. This is my first afternoon with no bodyguards, and tonight will be the first night I don't see my dad," she said having already made reservations at a available hotel long ways away from her house. Now that Tori tasted freedom she felt addicted. It felt calming, and seeing she made a friend in such a shirt day she couldn't hope for anything better.
Sitting down and facing him with one foot tucked under her leg she watched him with admiration, joy, and a slight bit of jealousy. Can you imagine? Doing whatever you want whenever you want, and however you want? Sure it was dangerous, judging from his wounds. But it must be...exilarating!

Leon snickered at her expression, not being able to help it. Her eyes were so large and innocent like deer's. They were wide and innocent. Wait until she got attack by a monster, then they would reflect a deer in headlights. Honestly, he couldn't imagine it, nor did he want to. The thought for some reason displeased him. If she kept wandering around without bodyguards, the chances for attacks would increase. How could this be helped? Ah, now he remembered.
"Hey," Leon sat up, shifting to face her properly, "You know, if you want more friends, you could just go to the Silver Creek Academy. There are a bunch of demigods there."

Tori shrugged "Never heard of it...Maybe it's because my father never thought it was necessary. I mean I'm handling mortal school pretty well, I'm planning to go to college for photography or design," she said with a grin. Tori had a way of making things look stunningly beautiful and eye-catching. She was persistant and observant. Also OCD. Which came to her advantage when doing a project because she hates unproportional things.
"I think New York is full of demi-gods as well. I mean your son of Hecate, what are the chances you weren't another one of those strange mortal boys who run around with toy swords?" she said pointing at his blade, which he proved to be real enough to make a horrible screeching sound.

Hecate. Leon almost laughed at that. He hated magic, and those Hecate kids tasted horrible. Now that he though about it, maybe he would have reverted to a vegetarian when he had a chance. A vegan monster. The idea was laughable, but not enough to the point where he wouldn't consider it. He would just animals from now on. Turned out that demigods were decent conversationists.
Leon just smiled, knowing the older that she got, the more monster attacks there would be. Regrettably, body guards couldn't follow her everywhere, but monsters could. "Oh, there are a lot of demigods around." He confirmed for her. He could scent the rogue ones now. They wandered around, fending for themselves. Some he knew not to mess with from experience. He knew his own limitations. The newer one's he went after for an easy meal. "But some of them are kind of wild, so don't go looking for them. I actually have a home." Another little white lie of his.

Tori shrugged "I don't go looking for Demi-gods. They come to me," she said simply. If not her apperance it was her slight gift with hearts. And it nearing February 14th she seemed to run into those Demi God's with an interest in a true love. Which is couldn't create, but find or help them find. That was probably her only useful power. But it was still a useful power despite how it couldn't help in a fight.
Tori smiled "Yeag I figured you must have a home. Most people do. I live..." she frowned slightly trying to remember in which direction the bus came from. Having taken enough buses to confuse you in circles just to get here. "...near Manhattan," she said shrugging. The expensive apartments and houses being in that area.

Leon didn't quite understand her meaning, but smiled nonetheless. If she was rallying of her beauty, she had a good reason to. She was very pretty compared to many demigods he had seen, even other Aphrodite kids he had seen befo- What was he thinking? Feeling a bit nervous, he shifted in his seat.
"Not the rogue demigods wandering the streets." Leon pointed out before shrugging. He was trying to hold back laughter. "I'm guessing you have a horrible sense of direction." Which wasn't rare for an ADD bundle with dyslexia.

Tori watched him shift away nervously. And decided to ask why exactly he approached “Do you have a lost girlfriend of some sort?” she asked him calmly. Though she did hope he approached for simply the seat. Since she in a way wouldn’t feel to glad about helping him with that.
She laughed “My sense of direction is far better than yours if I’m looking for someone I love. Without a strong emotion present I don’t find anything,” it was the honest truth. Tori was different than her siblings, she caused love, and found it. She attracted it and made it easier for two loved ones who have been separated to find each other. It was all under her gift from Aphrodite her mother. Who thanked her father for protecting her so well.

Lost girlfriend? Ht e thought almost made Leon laugh, but he refrained from doing so. Instead, he just gave her a sly smile. "Nope, never really thought about having one." Girls were high-maintenance, and it would cut into his hunting time. Well, he was constantly bored anyway. He liked being bored. Which was rare for anyone-or thing.
"So you have weird powers, eh?" Leon grinned in amusement, turning back to her. She did have a special scent. Her bodyguards had to be really busy trying to protect her. That made him a bit uneasy, wondering if some other monster would show up and find him hanging with a demigod instead of eating her. That would definitely ruin his reputation. What was more...she was led in the direction of someone she would love? Oh, he would like to see that. She could find demigods for him. Eating would be easy. "Yeah, I just came here to take a break. Not many people come by here, so no one can question my injury." Which was the only reason he had headed in this general direction in the first place. Instead, he had found something more interesting.

"I wouldn't call them powers. More like gifts," she said smiling brightly. Well at least the girlfriend thing was out of the way. Then remembering his injury she said "Oh..well you can come to my place and clean up. I think my dad's out on a conference so he won't mess with you," she told him feeling bad for not offering sooner.
Brushing some blonde hair back she looked away from Leon and at the street. Frowning slightly as she tried to remember from which way she came. Maybe he was right...her sense of direction wasn't the best...

Leon shook his head at her suggestion. It wouldn't do to be seen walking with her and going to her house. But then again, the subways had a lack of bandages, and it wasn't like he could just go into a hospital and try to explain how he got it. At the moment of indecision, he was staring at Tori. She seemed to be confused about something else as well.
"Looks more like I'll have to escort you home." Leon grinned, deciding against it. The wound would heal on its own, and decently fast, too. He would be fine. What if one of her body guards came across? "But I can make sure you get home, so you don't lose your way." That seemed like the largest threat to Tori at in the current situation.
