Tori Sullivan, was no doubt, daughter of Aphrodite. Her blonde hair lay perfectly straight on her shoulders, only going below with an inch or two. Her light hazel eyes seemed to trap your attention and just lure you forward. She was thin built and her skin always looks a healthy shade. Her attire is simple but somehow seemed to draw all attention towards her.
The white jean jacket open as she leaned against a park bench as if awaiting someone to show up, and she wasn’t, but it wasn’t like anybody else knew that. Her black shirt had ‘Aero’ sketched sideways and her purple vans seemed to be keeping a silent rhythm as she thought of the night before. Tori has a younger sister that has gone missing according to the government. But Tori knew the small girl never existed, she was a decoy used to amuse her childhood years. Not that Tori cared, but she felt sorry for these people constantly hired to amuse her. Which was why she sat here, awaiting someone not hired to swing by and just give her a joy not payed for, or rather not planned.
Tori brushed some blonde hair backwards her lips pursed as if making a decision. Should she approach someone? If so what could she say, this was New York anyways so she could get away with saying anything to anyone. But she didn’t want to screw things up this time. It wouldn’t be alright. Sighing she continued thinking about everything she has said and done. She remembered being a small girl afraid of the dark and running to her father. He would laugh at her ridicule for fearing the closet monster and would insist that there was no such things as monster, let alone spooky shadows. Tori still doesn’t believe in the existence of monsters, but still has a fear of the dark. Which was strange, not that anybody knew that. She tended to keep things hidden…

Leon had gotten into a fight with a demigod earlier. He was coughing, holding onto his side while stumbling past a wall. He was trying to stem the blood between his fingers flowing from the wound. Being a monster, he hadn't expected the boy to be so strong. The rogue demigod must have been an experienced one. Leon had managed to choose the wrong guy for food. Just his luck.
He had to get somewhere private before a mortal that could see through the mist noticed. He looked just sick and had caught a cold to any normal human, but he was far from that. The wound pained him a considerable amount, and only now did the blood stop. At least he had gotten some lunch. He had been starving. He would return to the subway later, he needed rest. If he returned looking wounded, they would all tease him.
Concentrating on keeping his human form, he staggered into the open, relieved to find no one at the park. He looked at his wound, checking it for some time before he was confident that it had stopped bleeding. He threw the jacket he was carrying on, covering the red stain with the sleek white and gray plaid. He looked up, almost startled, spotting Tori. How had he not sensed her? At least she hadn't seen the wound. A demigod. He could smell it in her scent. If she fought him, he probably wouldn't stand a chance in his state. But she was occupying the bench he had wanted to rest on. Leon put a wary hand on the hilt of his sword, yanking it and throwing it to the side, into the slide. Children didn't come out to play anymore. They were addicted to their electronics. He peeked out from behind the complex...thing that children played on, his blonde head sticking from behind the slide. He stared at Tori for a moment, his smoky blue-green eyes staring. He wondered whether he should show himself. That was a thing that Leon was bad at realizing. Blonde hair behind a red slide was noticeable.

Tori looked up to notice a boy. Smoky eyes, strong build, he seemed to be tired. Or rather wanting to rest. She looked at the bench, her eyebrows raised slightly as she looked back at him. Her voice level and sweet like usual “This is public property, you may sit down.” She told him quite clearly. She noticed a flicker of silver and smiled “Practicing for a play?” she asked figuring the sword was fake. Tori knew of demi-gods, but she didn’t expect them to be stupid enough to run around with swords. And she didn’t believe in monsters, therefore assumed he was either mortal or demi-god. Tori shifted positions so she was in the farthest part of the bench leaving him room to sit down. She then turned her body she was completely shifted towards him. Her posture calm but naturally straight. Her hands were folded neatly on her lap without noticing, a habit from many lessons on manners and elegance. The chilly winter New York air kept her from wearing her favorite gladiator sandals. She studied him silently judging him to be either around her age or older. Most likely older though. She couldn’t put her finger on it but he seemed different. But she shrugged such a feeling away. Her hazel eyes were bright and curious as she monitored him closely. Even if she wanted a friend, a true friend, she wasn’t going to go and hang with a possible killer or stalker. So she was cautious, to a certain extent. “I’m Tori…” she said not wanting to add her last name in case he did know her family and would treat her differently otherwise. Leon blinked at her calmness. Looked like she was one of those demigods that didn't have a clue what she was. Or maybe she knew and was just being plain frriendly. That would eventually get her killed. He snorted inwardly to himself, but smiled outwardly, pretending to be shy.
The monster stepped from behind the slide not as cautiously as he would have beforehand, and replied. "No, not a play. Just that..." he stared at her for a moment. Curse his honesty. Leon tilted his head to the side, which he had a habit of doing. His wound stung out in protest, and before he knew it, he had staggered a bit. He caught himself quickly, hand flying to his side. As it came away, his hand was stained red. Oh boy, it had started bleeding again. He tried to hide his awkward hand behind his back before looking up at her with a startled look. "Leon, uh, I'm Leon." He told her his name rather quickly just to keep her attention away from noticing, but it was pretty hard to hide. Maybe she had seen.

She laughed. Figuring he must have a younger brother who enjoyed playing with swords. Hearing his name she smiled “Well that’s not a very common first name. Many have it as a last name.” she tilted her head to the side “I believe it means lion. So I suppose your parents must have believed you would be brave and fearless.” She said kindly. He seemed shy to her, which wasn’t lion-like. At least that she knew of.
(Sorry it's lazy. At school and time is limited)

Leon tried not to visibly sigh with relief. He wouldn't call Tori stupid, it was just that she was undercautious. Feeling a bit pitiful of her, he decided he wouldn't attack. "I guess so." He told her agreeably. At the mention of his parents, he shrugged, though it kind of stung him on the inside. It was a touchy subject for him, his dad. He pretended not to care, which could have won him an oscar for the act he was putting up now to seem shy.
"So..." Leon paused, still feeling a considerable amount of pity for this girl. She would be taken by a monster soon if she didn't know. He decided to tell her, not knowing that she already knew. "I can tell why you're a daughter of Aphrodite." He commented a bit slowly, to let it sink in.

Tori smiled or rather was smiling. Until he mentioned she wasn't human. Her face suddently looked beautifully startled. How was he to know? Did she have it written on her forehead or was she being obvious? Her head tilted to the side "What do you mean by that?"
Oh dear gods. What is he was a human who wanted to kill her? Since she believed in no monsters. Then again he could be a demi god. But in that case what was that supposed to mean? Was he saying she was stupid like her Blondel half sisters they make ridiculous jokes of? Or was he giving a compliment? Her hazel eyes narrowed slightly "How do you know I'm daughter of Aphrodite rather than somebody else? And what are you?" She asked. Not exactly asking about monsters. Intact they never crossed her mind. They were like silly bed time stories to her.

Leon smiled to himself, so he had hit the nerve. She knew herself, which made him further curious, throwing off his shy act and replacing it with a cunning gleam in his eyes. A sharp and clever note ringing in his voice like it usually did.
"So I was right. I did sense a demigod. And what other god could you be under with those looks?" he laughed, almost to himself. "Let me tell you, you're being naive. You should be careful, letting people approach you so easily. What am I? That's a bit of a broad question, and a bit harsh, isn't it? I prefer who am I." Leon looked at her expectantly. If he told her, would she be scared? she would probably feel endangered, so he left it off like that. "I just asked because I got attacked, and thought that I should warn you." He made up a story with flourish. "The sword is for a reason that you now know." He pulled aside his jacket, showing her the cut through his T-shirt, slashing open the side where red blood stained the cloth. "Being a demigod, I assume you've been through an attack before?" He asked her gingerly, still not fully aware of who she was and what kind of situations she had experienced.

Tori felt a bit hurt. Which in turn made her hazel eyes narrow her kindness fleeing. "I'm certainly not naive. Just because I'm tired of seeing my dad hire friends rather than let me make them isn't being naive." Her voice was defensive and a bit furious "and me asking what are you isn't harsh. I was just wondering are you demi god or human." She told him quite clearly.
Tori saw his wounds and rolled her eyes "I have yet to get attacked. Maybe its because I don't mess with the gods or demi gods." Her voice plain and straightforward. If she was ever in danger one of the hidden bodyguards was there. And she wouldnt know about the danger because her body guards were usually sons of Ares and never told her. Orders from her father. Until now when she ditches them to go find injured friends. She was always protected. And she didn't like it. Intact at times she hated having maids to clean her room, paid friends to accompany her. Bodyguards to protect her. It was her own world. And she wanted to see the other world around her.

Leon grinned slyly at her, glad to see that her attitude for him had changed. It showed that the girl had fight in her after all. He wouldn't have to be blunt at the expense of her kindness anymore. "For a demigod, making friends this easily is considered unconscious. But it is your boldness that I guess would make you a friend." He shrugged, throwing a quick glance in her direction. He had possibly just insulted her pride referencing from her rich family. He honestly couldn't understand the mortals' social structure.
Leon held up hand, holding it out to her. His fingers outstretched as if he was offering her a high five. "I admit my language was wrong and harsh. So, I will compensate. Hit me as hard as you would like. Or take a weapon to me, for that matter." His murky blue eyes were dull and indifferent. "You say for yourself. If you want to know what I am, you can test it out. Demigod or mortal?"

Tori rolled her perfectly hazel eyes "Are you counting yourself as a friend?" she asked one eyebrow raised in confusion. When she pictured a friend she pictured....a girl, the kind you go to movies with or talk about boys with. But with a guy friend all she could think if doing was sports. But he seemed more interested in the sport of swords rather than tennis, which could pose a problem. Unless he was gay...then he could be the perfect best friend! The possibilities! But she knew it not true. He was straight, without a glance she knew. Why? Well she had to be good at something rather than being a pretty face.
Tori scooted away from the sword shifting uncomfortably "You're insane, in no way will I kill you in order to find out if your human or Demi god. Plus you getting hurt wouldn't tell me anything. Why can't you just tell me?" she said a bit wary. She watched him with slight curiosity "So why we're you fighting Demi Gods? Since I seemed to have missed something," she gestured to his wounds her hazel eyes studying him with interest and curiosity. Her hand brushed some blonde hair back as she stood up feeling strange sitting down during this whole conversation.

Leon let out a small sigh, as if dissapointed, "Well, that was no fun. Many demigods took up a sword or some blade and swung it at me. And instead of my hand, my neck, too! underhanded, but much more interesting." His tone was one of amusement. "Friend, no friend, it's for you to decide. Not many would want to be my friend. It's an overrated word, it is."
He stood sliding out his sword from where he had hidden it earlier. Leon took it and held it out to her. "See? perfectly sharp and deadly, yes?" He swung it, cutting a leaf that had fallen from a tree neatly in half. "now to answer your question, demigod, or mortal?"
The monster turned the blade on himself, holding it at his neck. "Let's play a little game, shall we?" Without waiting for an answer, his sly smile telling exactly what he was going to do next, he dragged the sharp edge across his skin. It let out a metallic screeching sound, bounding off of his neck.

Tori shrugged "Better to make friends than make enemies," she replied with a grin. Her kindness returning. She cocked her head to the side "Where have you been then? Nobody takes a swing at me," she said. Then again she wouldn't know, since this was the first time she left the house without her bodyguards who took care of danger without even having her know about it.
Tori watched Leon with curiosity and caution. His sword alarming her and making her feel uncomfortable as he sliced a leaf in half. "How will you sword?-" she was about to ask but decided better than it closing her mouth to watch and listen quietly.
lets play a game... the words made the hair on the back of her neck stand on end. Her hazel eyes widening as his smile appeared. "Are you insane!!!" she bellowed jumping forward to take the sword. Her voice sounded outraged. So she was finally making a friend and he was suicidal. Maybe she should go back to hiring them...a screeching sound made her flinch and cover her ears. She shrank back away from the sword "You...are...crazy...." she choked her eyes wide in terror as she stated at the sword and his neck.

Leon dropped his sword, doubling over, and not because he was wounded, but because he was laughing. "Oh, calm down! You should have seen your face! You looked absolutely terrified!" He took gasping breaths, still laughing a bit, then winced, pressing his hand to his side where his wound was. "Wow, you nearly made it reopen."
Leon straightened himself, gesturing to his neck, where the skin was still perfectly smooth and unscathed. "See? I'm perfectly fine. Do you think I would really try to kill myself? Wait, hold that thought." She probably would answer yes. The blonde walked over next to Tori, eyes apologetic. "I'm sorry, really. Just a quick demonstration. But you have to promise not to freak out, okay?"
Leon bent down, squatting beside the bench, giving the girl some room like she would want to run, which she probably would. "To answer your question, I'm not mortal nor demigod. I am a monster, one from Greek mythology. I got attacked by a demigod because...well, I was hungry."

Tori glared at him "CALM DOWN?!?! YOU ARE SUICIDAL!!! WHAT IF YOU DIED?!?" she bellowed feeling rather embarrassed now that she saw he wasn't wounded. But she was still furious. He could have died. Which would've definently made her rethink making friends. She glared at his wound "Well if you didn't go and get yourself attacked maybe you wouldn't be so insane..." she grumbled groggily and unforgivingly.
Tori was infact going to say yes a million times over. He could've killed himself, and frantically he was lucky he had a cement neck that wasn't hurt. She glared at him "I believe I can freak out if a guy put a sword to his neck and is about to kill himself," she said pretty coldly as she crossed her arms across her chest with a stubborn frown. Clearly saying she wasn't making any promises. But she was slightly calmer. Seeing he was trying to apologize for his insanity.
Now it was her turn to laugh. Her face returning to its bright beautiful self rather than the worried and aggravated pretty. She rolled her eyes at his ridicule "You think your a monster?" she smiled trying to compose herself since he seemed serious "You do know monsters are only imaginary characters in a child's nightmare," she said clearly. He seriously needed a mental asylum if he thinks he is the green guy from Monsters Inc.
