Shade walked into the clearing of the arena. His wounds had closed up, although he wasn't fully healed yet. He had some bussiness with Terry though. The kid seemed so familiar. He had seen him somewhere before. His fighting style he had seen before too.
He pulled out his picture of Dodge. His mentor and the man that had raised him. After raising him and teaching him, he had disappeared way too suddenly. They were definitely connected.
Hey Dodge, what's that? Oh, morning kid. It's a pic of my little bro. You have a brother? Yeah.
Wait a second.....

Terry walked into the Arena. He had been called out for some business. He wondered what it was for. He caught sight of the Hades kid. "Hey Shade, what's up- ......!" Coming from behind him, he saw the picture he was holding and looking at. He seemed to get pale all of a sudden.

He turned around at the voice to see Terry catch sight of the picture. He wasn't sure what to say. This was him. Terry. Dodge's younger brother. Then why had he trained him? Where was he now? Did Terry know?

"Dodge...Coleman..." Terry whispered. His older brother. Why did Shade have a picture of him? Unspeakable fury racked him at te memory of what had happened between them. "Shade, where did you get that picture?!" He held out his right hand and his staff appeared. Energy crackled around him. Anger. Hurt. Betrayed. Dodge. His older brother. The metal spheres at the end morphed. They sharpened themselves, turning into blades at the ends.

His hazel eyes widened, and he couldn't come out with an answer. The emotions leaking out of Terry were great. What had happened between them? Why was he angry? Wasnt he his brother...? "Dodge was my mentor." He replied taking a nervous step back.

"He's still alive?!" Terry pointed his staff at Shade. His anger was going out of control. He would kill Dodge. Revenge. Dodge was the one that had killed Terry's little brother. His own brother! Then when he had found out, hellhounds helped Dodge escape from Terry. Hades had aided him. So this was the reason? Hades had torn their relationship to get a skilled fighter like Dodge to raise this kid? Shade! He was still six when it had all happened. Dodge had been thirteen. He had left because of...just to help Hades....killed his brother..... His blue eyes sparked with anger, "Give me the picture."

"Why...what are you?" Aaron took a step back. He was utterly stunned by his reaction. Terry had always been kind and talkative. Cheerful and relaxed. This much hate coming from one person for no reason....

"Destroy it! I don't want to see it!" Terry sprang forward, his years of experience coming in on anger. He twirled his staff and swung down on the picture he was holding. Those eyes....How could they still smile? He had killed his smallest brother. He had thrown his family away to follow Hades' orders and train a kid! The sharp end slashed downward at a ferocious speed.

A golden flash appeared before his vision. He could see the shining metal cut down on the picture. His precious picture. The one of his mentor. The first person he saw. The only person that raised his for the past years. He jerked it out of the way, blocking with his arm. He had seen that fighting style before. He was just like Dodge. Except he used a staff instead of a spear. The blade met his arm and cut down, leaving a cut. "Ugh!" He slid backwards, falling onto his back. He stuffed the picture into his left pocket. The new slash ran down down the back of his right arm. He winced and looked at Terry. "What are you doing?! I don't know why you're angry, but I can't destroy this! This is my precious person! He was like my brother! I can't destroy this!"

"Ne doesn't deserve to be anyone's brother! He killed my brother! His own smallest brother! He killed him! He doesn't deserve to live. Now I'm going to ask you once and once only. Destroy the picture! Then tell me where he is! I'm going to kill him!" He whirled his staff. He didn't want to hurt Shade. He didn't understand. The staff molded back to it's original form. The ends turning back into small spheres. Terry stepped forward and sidestepped. He turned and rounded to the back of Shade. He jabbed down at the back of his right leg's joint, aiming for the nerve.

He killed? His brother...? The words didn't make any sense to Shade. "I know youre angry! But This is my momento! He was my mentor! Though he maybe your enemy! And besides, he disappeared on me two years ago!" He wouldn't give it to him. never the picture. It was his precious something. And he didn't want to fight Terry. Looks like everything he said wouldn't budge him. He blinked as he sprang forward. Terry sidestepped and twirled his staff behind him. F-fast! The blow connected with the back of his legs. The joint. Behind the knees. He gritted his teeth to keep from crying out. He fell to his knees, his right leg feeling funny. It wasn't obeying him. It had bent by itself...he felt wobbly and off balance. This is like that time in the infirmary!

Terry's eyes glowed with rage. "I'm going to take away your momento. He was just using you! He disappeared on you because he didn't like you! He was using you to gain your father's favor! He's trash!" The attack was a success. He whirled his staff into vertical position and stabbed down at the side of his head, trying to hit a nerve to knock him out.

Shade hissed back, the words pounded on his mind. He wouldn't believe it. He didn't care if he was being naive or selfish. He couldn't believe it. "Don't call him trash!" It was a weak reply. The staff came down. Shade grabbed the end with his right hand and the cut on his arm gave a painful throb as the sphere struck his palm forcefully. He rolled to the side and got up. "Ignite and roar! My swords!" There was a sudden decrease in temperature around him. And the air around him grew hazy with mist. The swords appears on his belt in their sheathed. He snatched them out. The two sort sword in left. The large one in his right. Their blades were cold Stygian iron. They sucked in the shadows. A black flame hot and blazing ran across the edge of the freezing blade, contrasting and blowing mist everywhere. He took a defensive position. "I'm begging you, I don't want to fight! Please stop!"

"Intimidating. Truly. Whoever wins gets their way, then!" He wasn't afraid at all of his weapons. He swung his golden staff forward in a crushing speed, then suddenly jerked back the offending end, the opposite end striking out.

"We don't have to fi-" He was cut off by his attack. He raised his short swords to defend the attack, when the staff jerked back and the other end swung out. He sprang backwards, blocking the attack with his right along the way. "Tch!" His right arm gave a painful throb. He almost dropped his sword. His palm was bruised and the cut on his arm hurt. His right leg bent unwillingly. It was shaking in effort to hold him up. Terry had hit one of his nerves. This wasn't going to end in his favor, but it looked like Terry wasn't going to stop and listen. He looked around for someone. Someone had to be around, right?
