Matthew shook his head as the two disappeared once more. Leaping forward he changed into Dionysus's animal. A leopard. Sure it was hard to change back. But it wasn't impossible.

He smirked. "Well, your opponent is me, I don't think so! Whoever makes it to Manhattan wins!" He sails up into the air. He materializes his staff and throws it out in front of Kat to trip her.

Shade shadow traveled into the woods. He wobbled a bit, leaning on a tree for support. The vines around him wilted and shrank away. The vines didn't touch him. He really was useless. He spread a fire around the clearing in front of Kat and Matthew. Trry he was gonna have to stop himself. He walked slowly, still dizzy. Stupid failure. He broke into a small jog with a smile.

He was going to fly over it when a black flame sprouted before him. Ugh. The smoke made him blink. Black fire? Shade! He looked down to see his friend making his way across the field. He was swaying. He must have shadow traveled. It made him dizzy. He tried to fly through, but the smoke was in his eyes. Higher. The wings fluttered in frustration. They didn't like the smoke after all...
They lost control at the worst time. He spiraled towards the floor. He patted the ash and smoke off of them as he fell. Hurry....hurry...gain control...

Shade looked up with a crooked smile. Then it faded. He was falling? Those wings...What was going on? He ran up to Terry as he fell. Trouble right before the quest....

Kh...He snapped the wings another time, the ash and smoke clearing from the feathers. They flapped and he turned back upright, breathing in relieved. He looked at Shade. "They have their own "eyes". You blinded them. They feel what I feel. That's the risk of these."
He looked at Shade. "Can you get rid of this fire? No one can get through."

"That's the point of this fire..."
He frowned and then waved his hand. The fire hissed and smoked and was gone. He pointed at the distance.
"Manattan. We past the forest."

He whistled and looked off. "Huh, that's close now. See ya!" He smiled and took off. Heading towards Manhattan.

Kathrine didn't really try the fire. One second she watched in fear as Terry fell and the next in relief as he caught himself. Smiling she sunk into the ground emerging under the flying Terry. "Manhattan, I need to return a jacket," she grinned and looked ahead.

"I think you'd look cute with any jacket." Oops. He shut his mouth and blushed for a second. What had he said? He smiled as if he was just joking. "Let's wait for them to come. We're almost there!"

Blushing she smiled. Her blue eyes not looking at him as she replied "Agreed." then taunting she added "I bet I can beat you to them," and she disappeared reappearing a few feet away from them.

Stupid. He felt like slapping himself. But he and meant what he said. He laughed and shot into the air after her. "You can beat my speed!"

Matthew blinked in leopard form. Stretching ge ran towards Manhattan to have Kat run back. Sighing he began his change back human. Rubbing his jaw with his hand he shook his head. These changes hurt.
(good idea. Though it should be more of a finding info thread, but I suggest Kayden making it. But we can start leisure time threads in Manhattan until he does)
