(If you're going to join this thread, no more attacking, Leon's tired. Please. *coughJackiecough*)
"Whoa!" Leon tumbled off of Arcane in a careless heap the minute he landed. He sat, groaning on the ground and holding his shoulder. "Since when were mortals able to obtain imperial gold bullets?" he complained, checking his bleeding shoulder. Though it had only grazed him, it hurt a heck lot. Imperial gold and celestial bronze were metals that seared and throbbed like crazy if they landed a hit on a monster. The pain had mostly worn off by now as he slowly adapted, but it was still there. Besides, he had gotten a good cut to the leg from a demigod earlier as well. That was gonna need to heal as well.
"Dude, you freaking saved my life back there, man. Again!" The son of the Nemean Lion smiled at Arcane, his rational slyness faded at the moment, dominated by the emotion of gratefulness. "I don't know what I would do without you." He yanked out some bandages and began working on his shoulder. "They'll be back, and there'll be others before that, so I'd better heal fast."

(lol xDDD haha. Jackie/Kat wouldn't beable to post here anyways since its the tunnels for monsters)
Irissia was a small husky puppy patroling the streets that night. Having already visited the children she decided she might, just might, fufill to their request and see if Arcane would enjoy dropping by once more. Since the boys grew wary of only females.
Sky blue eyes clear she turned to the tunnels and morphed back into a mortal state outside. Since she didn't trust these monsters in her dog state, nor did she not trust herself to beable to keep from baring her teeth. Since her dog state was mostly instinct, and doggie thing.
Brown hair in perfect waves she turned into the tunnels only to hear Leon. Her blue eyes narrowing the smell of his blood reaching the roof of her mouth. Disgusting, Irissia unlike the other monsters had no taste for mortal blood for the fact her non-mortal side was a dog, loyal to the human race. Walking up to him she crossed her arms "And what were you doing with a mortal?" she asked shaking her head. Irissia knew of the imperial gold bullets, infact she had ran across some merchants trying to sell her some, and she was tempted to buy them, but bullets weren't really her style, plus they were expensive.

Leon was still giving Arcane his stupid grin. Maybe the Lastrygonian had bashed his head against the wall too hard or something. He caught someone approaching by scent, though his sense wasn't as strong as hers, he knew she was coming. He bet she knew he knew she was approaching anyway.
"Irissia!" The son of the Nemean Lion greeted her, finishing wrapping up his shoulder sloppily and slipping on his leather jacket to cover the shoulder wound. It was futile since the gash on his leg was still there, and the heavy scent of metallic blood was in the air. "I was...trying to stay alive. She attacked me, and I didn't fight back. Things never work out that well when that happens, yes?"

Irissia ignored his greeting at first tearing off his jacket "Your gonna get it infected you know," she scowled at him. She was used to taking care of people. So she would treat Leon the same though she didn't necessarily like him. Sure she didn't dislike him. But she wasn't completely fond of him. Nor was she fond of Arcane his little partner in crime...
"And why...would a mortal assassin be attacking you? Let me guess... a female, blue eyes...whats her name?... Robbin Jackie I believe... or something of the sort." she asked her eyes narrowing. Irissia knew many. Especially around the demigod weapons market since she had to go change the drachmas to mortal money herself sometimes. Sure the demigods distrusted her a bit. But they didnt refuse her. Since she was part dog...not necessarily lethal as far as they are concerned. And in this market the only mortal she knew buying weapons, and not just being there by chance was the assasin Jackie. Who was quite good at her job. Though the two never crossed paths she heard tales. It was hard not to when suddently you see a mortal killing all your opponents.

Arcane laughed in reply to Leon's complaints. He was about to help him with his wounds when Irissia made her entrance. He couldn't believe his eyes when she walked in. He'd never expect to find her here. After all, he'd invited her to stay in the Subways rather than on the streets, himself, but she had strongly refused. He didn't say anything, however, but was surprised, yet again, when he found she and Leon knew each other.
Things circled back around to Jackie, however, and he knew he'd have some explaining to do. Normally, he would have simply retaliated when attacked but he'd cowered away from this girl with accusations of murdering her parents. "Her name is Jackie Diana Robbin," he said, quietly. It was funny in a way how quickly a day could take a turn for the worse. Not an hour ago, he was having a nice stroll, wandering the streets of New York. Now, he was dealing with an injured friend and difficult explanations - too difficult to simply brush off. But he supposed he should wait for the right moment. His priority, right now, was to make sure Leon was okay.

Leon tried not to flinch in surprise as she removed his jacket in one quick jerk. He had to admit that it hurt, but... "Hey! That's mine." He ended his protest in a muttering grumble, knowing that she wouldn't have any of it. "I already took care of it...kind of." The bandaging was a little on the sloppy side, but he knew that it needed cleaning, something he had never really thought of learning to do before. "It's all good." He told her, still being as stubborn as ever.
When Arcane spoke, he turned his head towards him with a curious expression. "Wow, you did your research. Or maybe...do you know her?" He didn't quite understand why his friend had been so cautious dealing with Jackie. It certainly wasn't because he was respecting Leon's unwillingness to attack either mortal or demigod now, so what was the big idea?

(I'm going to sleep! Goodnight!)
Arcane cracked a smile at Leon's stubbornness, only for it to disappear just as quickly as it had spread. "It's... complicated," he hesitated, not knowing where, exactly, to begin. "She... kinda thinks I'm a demigod," he said, figuring it was the best way to begin. "I was out hunting one day when someone had hired an assassin to hunt me down - she was that assassin. Instead of me, however, she found another monster who had been hunting in my territory. She nearly killed him but he just disappeared in a flash of fire, retreating to safety." Well, he'd begun. There really was no stopping, now.
"I walked up to her soon afterward, masquerading as a mortal, originally, intent on killing her." Turning to Irissia, he explained, "She was a threat - the only mortal threat to me in centuries. She's good at what she does." He knew Irissia would probably be having thoughts of killing him so he felt he should explain himself. "I had no choice, I was only protecting myself."

Irissia rolled her eyes at Leon's protest. "Stop whinnying. Worse than a chihuahua puppy," she muttered unwrapping his sloppy work. Digging in her leather pockets she pulled out a first aid kit, her blue eyes narrowing "I typically save this for mortal children when they get scrapes..." she muttered. Pulling out a liquid and a paper that was in a small package she frowned. Trying to think of it's name. But honestly she couldn't remember what the child of Demeter she bought it from called it. Dabbing at the wounds carefully she wondered whether it would sting or burn. But she didn't ask.
Irissia shook her head. "I know Jackie. We don't speak but I know her. She just does her job. Kills the creatures who kill. Everybody has their own motives," she shrugged not really knowing Jackie's. "But just because she is a threat doesn't mean you should get yourself hurt in attempt to escape, or try to kill her," she said shooting glances at them both. "And how is it a mortal comes to wound a child of the Nemean Lion who had the assistance of the son of Ladon," she asked them shaking her head.
Irissia's conclusion was that she wasn't as dangerous or deadly as they make themselves to be. Surely it wouldn't be difficult to stop a mortal. Irissia had been in wars. The center really. And she never encountered such a problem. Then again Irissia was a destined hunter, friend of Artemis, and a guarded representative of Aphrodite. A sort of advantage over them. Having both her blood, and the gods in her favor. Though she was pretty sure since she never died before it would take her a while to come back...but she wouldn't know. She didn't die. Nor planned to.

"Hey!" Leon countered to Irissia as she removed the bandages, "I'm not even close to being a puppy!" He sat still, nonetheless, and allowed her to assess his wounds. She started applying some sort of medicine, and he tensed. It stung, like all medicine. It was how you knew it worked. Or maybe it was just killing you. "Why waste it on me, then? I heal faster than them." He commented, nodding in thanks at the same time.
He raised an eyebrow at Arcane, "So that's why you didn't want her to see you. Your mysterious mist comes in handy. She told me she was getting paid to kill me. I wasn't trying to fight her, really." The only reason she had managed to nick him a few times was because he didn't strike back when there was an opening. He had been solely focusing on dodging in their fight, and no one could avoid attacks forever. "I didn't really want to hurt her...so yeah." He motioned to his shoulder.

Arcane grinned at Leon's excuse as to why she had landed a hit. "Please, she wasn't even focused on you. She was taking it easy. I've seen her in action and she's a match for anyone whether they be monster or mortal." He paused, before answering Irissia. "We weren't attempting to kill her. I was helping Leon out in a completely unrelated fight when she found us. She attacked, not us. You'd be surprised what a mortal can do when driven to the edge of their sanity."
Watching Irissia tend to Leon's wounds for a moment, he continued. "Anyways, I wasn't all that hungry and we began talking. Eventually, we walked past an alleyway and another monster - my brother's girlfriend - grabbed her. I'm... not sure why, but I saved her. However, she noticed my sword so I told her I was a demigod and had seen her kill that monster." He thought about what to say next, deciding to just stop without going into the details of her past. "Anyways, we started talking and, well, I'm helping her out with... problems she's having," he said, deciding that was the best way to describe their relationship. "I can't do that, though, if she knows who I really am so I had to hide myself from her."

Irissia rolled jer eyes at Leon "infection. Plus this is easy to come by," she told him. Applying the last dab before carefully re-wrapping his shoulder. Her hands delicate and kind.
Irissia shook her head. "she will find out eventually. This is a active assassin we speak of. She will find out. Either as your killer or as your friend." she told him "But I'd be cautious. Once she's done with you...there's no knowing what she will do. I have seen her, and she can be unstable at times..."

Leon nodded in gratitude, "Thanks." His voice was honest, and he took a quick glance at her medical skills. He had gained a valuable friend, that was for sure. His work looked like the wrapping of a three-year-old trying to imitate a mummy for Halloween compared to hers. In a way, he was a bit embarrassed.
"Right, unstable..." Leon noted, shaking his head. A mortal assassin. That was his first in his lifetime. Sure, he had heard of those that could see through the Mist, but kill monsters as a job...? there were barely any physically capable of doing that. "So you're just hiding from her?" He asked Arcane curiously. It was a friendship that would be difficult to work out, like his and Tori's.

Arcane nodded. He knew Irissia's words to be true. He had feared this, himself. "I know," he began, and it was out before he could stop his own words, revealing both his motives and Jackie's secrets, "but if I can help her find the real killer of her parents, maybe she'll accept me and our friendship will continue. She's nicer than what you would expect but a monster who looked a lot like me killed her parents right in front of her when she was young. It shattered her sanity." With a sigh, he finished. "I'm just trying to build it back up, again."
When Leon asked his question, Arcane just shook his head. "What else am I supposed to do? I can't attack her because I don't want to hurt a friend but I can't reveal who I am as that would make her just want to kill me. I have a mortal form and I intend to use it."

Irissia nodded at the two. "You two are quite interesting. Always getting muddled with the most troublesome females," she teased them shaking her head. The daughter of Lealaps had no interest in the opposite gender, sure she had a love for the opposite gender at one point in time. But it's been centuries and she didn't really care for them. Mostly because she was determined to be a hunter of Artemis. All she needed was Aphrodite to tell her what she needs her for.
The daughter of Laelaps tilted her head to the side "If she's looking for the murderer of her family id try to steer her away. Revenge won't solve anything for her, she'd just because crazier once she meets her family's killer..." she told him. Thinking quietly.

"Yeah the most troublesome females," Arcane laughed, his mood lightening. "And would you look at who I'm talking to." He meant no offense, of course. It was just a return tease. He actually didn't mind Irissia being around, so long as she wasn't throwing accusations at him. Otherwise, she was quite nice and a pretty interesting person - and the only other demi-monster he knew, other than Leon, who was just as old if not older than him.
"Steer her away," he muttered. Arcane shook his head. "She needs to see, now, that she has the power to protect herself. She's paranoid, now. She jumps at every sound, ready to draw a dagger and attack anything that moves. She refuses to leave a window open at night if the wind is blowing - the monster came through the window when she was younger," he said, the last an explanation what would otherwise seem like a strange precaution. "She needs to prove to herself she is safe and she has the ability to defend herself. By finding the one who killed her parent, not only will she get the assurance it won't be walking the Earth for at least a month or two, but will get the peace of mind of knowing she had avenged her parents." Pausing, he added, "With that and a little kindness and understanding, she could recover her sanity - I'm sure of it. She's miserable, right now, and I need to do something. What other answer is there?"
