Kathrine was about to reply to Dark with a hiss but Garret had showed up. The daughter of Persephone knowing he would be out for revenge. But seeing his face when he realize he lost Max sent a pang of grief through her. No. She had to leave. Just as the creek started rocking she sunk into the ground emerging near the trees and running off. Knowing that she wouldn't beable to fight both the son of Hades and the son of Poseidon. Ha, infact she had to be lucky to survive the son of Hades alone...
Just as Kathrine was about to travel out and to camp though a figure caught her attention. The beautiful woman obviously a goddess. "Persephone she breathed..." the goddess smile "Kathrine, I came here to take you somewhere safe..."
(thun thun thun. Kathrine will now no longer RP until Capture the Flag!)

(sorry its lazy. I'm half asleep right now o.O)
Garret stared at Max's dead body. She looked like a angel...a beautiful delicate angel...and she was dead...lifeless. Nothing in her. She would never again smile, laugh, live. And their was only one to blame. Shade, son of Hades. The murderer of his beloved Max.
Feeling Pyre's touch he pushed back the water whipping up and splitting them apart. "What, your gonna just let her murder go unpaid." He spat at Pyre "They will pay," he growled. Nobody should have messed with Max. Why did she agree to help the daughter of Persephone? Why didn't the son of Hades just kill Kathrine Woods? Why did he kill his daughter of Chronos?
His sea green eyes turned to Shade "Your right, revenge should be on you," he hissed the son of Poseidon felt the anger rise. Hatred ringing in his ears as the water crashed down like a wave. He would flood the banks. He wanted to see Shade's blood spill, he wanted to see the life seep out of the son of Hades. He wanted to see the boy go back down to hell and never come back.
(Oh wow...he sounds kinda evil right now o.o)

Pyre stepped back, avoiding the water as best he could. He'd never seen Garret so angry, so insane, but he didn't blame him. His girlfriend was dead, her body laying in front of him. She was one of his good friends, not feeling any hatred toward her for the night of the dance. Now, though, they'd never share a laugh, usually at Garret's expense, again. Still, he wasn't in a murderous rage. He had to calm Garret down.
"Please, he'll get what he deserves," he said, now hopefully out of range of the son of Poseidon's fury. "But look at yourself and what you're doing. You're only repeating his actions - doing the same thing he did. What justifies this?" He asked, hoping to bring his friend back into reality and stop him before he does something he'll regret, later. Pyre knew what murder did to the conscience. He was aware of his insanity but there was nothing he could do, it was a part of him and he was too afraid to tell anyone in fear of distrust. It didn't have to be that way for Garret.
"Yes, he killed someone, but you're doing the same thing, now. Do you really want to do that?" He was desperate but he didn't know what to say to Garret. Pyre had no idea what he was supposed to say at a time like this. How was he supposed to talk him out of something so primal as revenge?

Shade watched with emotionless hazel-gray eyes. "Dark. Go back." Without a word, the shade bowed, melting away into his shadow. He had absorbed his subordinate's power. Suddenly, a intense wave of heat exploded outward around the son of Hades. A black fire sprung up around him, whirling in a protective sphere. As the wave of water crashed down, mist sprung up around them, and steaming water evaporated on the spot. The air grew thick and humid. Shade, holding up the wall of fire, felt a pang at his stomach. "Ugh..." The effort hurt. He knew that his fire was not the way to go here.
As the water moved away, the remaining flickering tongues of black died down. He was nowhere to be seen. And suddenly, he was just a foot away from Pyre, out of his long cast shadow by the setting sun. Soon, he would be able to shadow-travel anywhere in the night like a silent devil. "Your friend is wise to call for peace. But tell me, Pyralis Demos, why do you not fight too for someone who was your friend? Don't be a coward." He was ready to end anyone that got in his way. He wasn't too sure if he wanted to kill anyone more today.
"Hades is my father. Thanatos if my patron. I am a servant to my father in the Underworld, and I am here on the official order of the Fates to retrieve the soul of Paige Max Zarate. Any other business you have with me can be dealt with right now. If killing is the way you want to go..." The ground at his feet began to shiver, and slowly, pieces of glassy obsidian popped out from the grass. They spun around him, turning sharp like arrow heads and point at the two demigods, "I'm afraid I'll have to defend myself."

Pyre blew the mist away, afraid this demigod would use it to camouflage his attack. But he was gone. Before Pyre could turn to Garret, however, he reappeared from seemingly nowhere, an arm-length from him. Hades. That explained the fire and his sudden disappearance and reappearance - shadow travel. The son of Hades was at the very edge of his shadow.
"She was my friend - a very close friend - but that doesn't justify more killing. You are weak at the moment, otherwise, you would have just shadow traveled away from here. If I wanted to, I could help Garret and you would die," he said in a calm, even tone. Unlike most others, especially others who shared his insanity, he was calm during times of stress and panic; times like this. "Is that what you are asking for?" He finished, his voice monotonous. He wouldn't kill him - his conscience was tainted enough. He would, however, defend himself if need be - a situation that seemed more prevalent as many pieces of smooth black stone sprung from the ground. Obsidian, he knew, was a very sharp, very sturdy stone. The sharpest mortal blades were made from the rock. Slowly, Pyre began to realize, while Shade was weaker than normal, he was still a threat and wouldn't leave, peacefully.

Garret turned to Pyre furiously. "You think I'm going to let him get away with killing Max? He doesn't scare me. All he can do is go hide in the Underworld again with his father," he spat glaring at Shade. The son of Poseidon was not listening to his friend.
Garret laughed at Shade. The obsidian not making him even feel remote fear, so what if he died? He would rather die avenging Max, and join her soon than live and let this murderer get away. Unlike Pyre, Garret didn't deal well with trauma or stress. His sea green eyes dark as the water came back spinning. The earth started trembling slightly as more water came out flooding the creek side.
Garret felt anger shake him, the energy corsing through his veins making his powers more lethal. He wanted Aaron Shade dead, he wanted his blood on the ground, but above all he wanted Max back. He wanted life back in her. He wanted to see her again, he wanted to see her smile, and never let her go again. Why didn't she listen to him? Why did she help the daughter of Persephone?
Kathrine Woods. She brought the death of his beloved as well. It was that girl who brought this foreign demigod. Despite his claims that it was the Fates. No. It was all a sick joke. Why couldn't she turn back time when everything was going wrong? The son of Hades must have either caught her by surprise or done something to her powers to keep her from avoiding this. But then a thought crossed his mind. Did she want to die? A flash of pain flickered across his face but it went away twice as fast. Of course not. Shade was the killer. He would be the one to pay. And Pyre will not stop Garret from trying to kill him.

Shade watched Pyre, his hazel eyes glinted with a slight hint of interest. "No. I do not leave because I am not a coward, and I don't think I will die. If someone has unfinished business with me, it is to be finished. I don't like leaving things incomplete." His expression was icy stone, but if you stared him in the eyes properly, there was a world of regret brimming in his interior. Wasting lives that had potential was never on his list of things-to-do. He hadn't enjoyed killing Max. But that didn't matter because he had still gone ahead and carried out the orders. "What the Fates want, I have no choice but to give." He said quietly.
The son of Hades straightened himself, the stones beginning to spin rapidly, ready to be shot out with their points straight and aimed. If Garret launched his attack, he would counter. If the two stepped down and made peace, he would leave. But right now, this was unfinished business. It was obvious that Max had been a world important to the son of Poseidon, and Shade felt that he deserved to take a shot at what he wanted- revenge. Unless he changed his mind. If it were him, he would be furious if he just left after killing Max. So he remained standing there, watching, waiting. Heat around him evaporated water that came splashing at him, but he was tiring. "I could...let you have a moment with her ghost." He swallowed hard, wondering why he was still here being so soft.

Pyre flinched, slightly, as Garret raised his voice. It was obvious his friend had nothing on his mind but revenge. Pyre understood but he didn't want Garret to make the mistake he did. He didn't want him to kill. He wanted to say something but still he was at a loss for words. His mind was reeling for answers or for ways to calm Garret down. The world just seemed to be crumbling, Garret along with it, when Shade's comment took him by surprise. Could he bring Max's ghost back, even for a few moments? Was it possible? Did the children of Hades posses that power?
Stepping back, he looked at Garret to see his reaction. Maybe a final few words with Max would calm him. Maybe his love would be able to talk some sense into his otherwise insane self. Pyre wanted revenge, too, but he knew from experience death wasn't the way to go.

Garret started to make the ground tremble slightly. The son of Poseidon glaring at his enemy. Shade. The hunger for blood still corsing through his veins. But he had offered Max's ghost back. Was it true? Could he see her once again? Garret Williams hesitated. Shade's soft voice making him calm down for a moment.
But then a thought struck his head. Max's ghost would be back for a moment. What then? Was he supposed to skip around the academy like nothing happened? How was he supposed to live in peace without her there. The ground suddenly became still. The water collecting itself in a stream above their heads and gently flowing back into the creek.
Garret's expression level and calm as he hid his plans for after speaking to Max "Then do so," he said in half a harsh command and half a plead. His voice was the only sign of the inner weakness he felt from the loss of Max. Her dead body laying on the ground making Garret cringe. After burying her...He will set out to find a way to join her, what else did he have to live for? But he had his beloved Max to die for, didn't he? The thoughts of suicide were the things calming him down. He couldn't attempt in the academy, too many watchful eyes. But he could just go out to New York unarmed and let a monster rip him to shreds. Nobody would suspect a suicide, they would think he had died fighting a monster. It would be easier...

Garret's anger died out like a weak candle flame in the middle of a rainstorm when he mentioned his ability to summon any ghost. He nodded slowly to confirm his words, noticing their disbelieving eyes. He was startled by the son of Poseidon's desperate tone. He knew that he had really loved her, and he deserved to see her one last time since he had the rare chance that he could give it to him.
"Very well." He replied quietly, turning and walking towards the dead body of Max. He bent down next to the girl, wondering where she would end up in the Underworld. He would see to it that she would at least make it to Elysium. He pressed a light thumb on the forehead of her corpse. He closed his eyes, a tear finding its way down his cheek. He had killed another. He owed these people. "Paige Max Zarate...I require your service!" The thin misty outline of a figure began to thicken, and the ghost of Max materialized in front of him.

(Does Kat need to come back and RP Max? lol. Cause I think she stopped reading this thread...) Garret watched Shade for a moment approach Max. But he no longer kept his green gaze on the son of Hades once he pressed his thumb to her forehead. His eyes locked on Max. A mixture of grief and anger still in his eyes. How could he have let her die? He shouldn't have let her come here alone... When Shade said her name Garret blinked looking at the misty outline as it thickened. His eyes flashing as he stared at Max's ghost. A ghost. The words rang through his head as he fought back tears. This could very well be the last time he sees her, he doesn't even know how the Underworld system works...what if even in death they are apart? Throat closed he tried to say something. But he was at loss of words as he tried to clear his clouding mind. She was gone. And this could be the last time he could speak to her. What could he possibly tell her? How long would she last? He blinked. Standing still and watching Max, his eyes flashing between emotions as he tried to hold back his feelings.

Pyre's eyes widened, tears forming as he gazed upon his lost friend. Max's ghost had appeared before them, thanks to this strange, murderous son of Hades. He wanted to run to her and hug her, but he was unsure if she was even tangible. Looking over at Garret, he figured this was his moment, however, and not his own. Instead, he stared at her, sorrow filling his eyes, for a moment, before returning his gaze toward the nameless son of Hades. He didn't trust this kid and would watch him, constantly, to be sure he didn't try anything. Still, he found himself glancing over toward Max for a second or two, before returning his gaze.

Shade watched both of their expressions. The blonde known as Pyre was tearing up. He had misjudged him. Both of them seemed to care about her a great deal. And he had killed her. He had always known the consequences of murder before, but he had always thought of the results logically- selfishly. You gained more enemies bent on revenge, you would never make it to Elysium- heck- Asphodel at this point, and anyone with a conscience would not want to be your friend. But now he realized, with his new gentle emotions open, he felt guilty. He used to be able to watch the sob-fest with a cruel smile. But now, he had changed. He was giving them an opportunity to say goodbye.
Max's ghost blinked, answering, "I answer you, Shade, son of Hades," and then she was materialized, able to speak normally. He gave her time to gather herself. She would be confused. Silently, the son of Hades opened his palm, a bright blue flame flickering in his hand. It was the same kind of ghostly fire he had used on Julien. Its purpose was not to burn, but to restore. Max would be like she was when she was alive- tangible. But he hadn't included her powers into this flame. Too dangerous. He brushed a hand lightly against her shoulder, the flickering light tracing his finger and entering her ghost upon contact.
He turned his back on the three, and looked back only once. It was probably to their imagination, but if inspected closely enough, there was a small tear tracing its way from his hazel eye down to his cheek. "You have ten minutes...Use the time wisely." And then he had vanished along with the darkness, completely gone.

Max blinked. Confused. She was dead, but why was she back here? Blinking she felt light headed, was the Underworld too full and was she forced to roam the earth as a ghost now? Tilting her head to the side she listened to Shade. Realizing he wasn't speaking to her she turned her ivy gaze to Garret. Forgetting her trouble she smiled. "Garret!" she breathed rushing over to him "I'm soo sorry," she told him reading his expression. She was dead for sure. His eyes said it all. Then she looked at Pyre, flashing a brilliant smile and trying to pretend like she wasn't dead. "Pyre! You are here too! It's the three of us finally together again!" she told them with a grin. Since the dance they hadn't really all been in the same place at the same time. All of them too busy after everything was forgiven. Garret with his teacher applications, Max with well...time traveling, and Pyre...well being Pyre and dorm leader. (ehh sorry it's short )

Garret watched Shade. Not replying. His heart aching as he stared at Max. Ten minutes before she would be gone from his grasp...when she ran up to him he forced a smile. His voice soft and trembling softly as he tried to fight back the grief that was killing his insides. "It wasn't your fault Max," he told her coming closer and reaching out to touch her to see if she was truly there.
Oh how he wished this was just a nightmare. That tomorrow he would wake up and Max was alive, that they were packing to go to New York for a week vacation out of the Academy for a little while. Why couldn't she be alive still? How could the Fates has cruelly taken her from him? Did they want to cut his life the same instant her thread was cut? How could anybody ever kill his beloved? Looking at her he felt depression flood him as he fought it back. At least he could see her still alive for a little while...he had to stay positive...for her...
But her ivy eyes made him cringe. They would never shine with life and laughter again, her smile wouldn't form again as she holds his hand and freezes time so they aren't late. Her warm heart beat would never speed up again. How could anybody take that away from him? How could someone take the very thing he lived from and mercilessly kill her? Most of all. How could anyone expect Garret to live without something to live for?
