Dark was genuinely puzzled by the way Renate was acting, carrying on an easy conversation. He hesitated, trying to filter out the more important question to answer. "My strength is the master's originally. I took it to live. And Lord Hades didn't think Miss Summer would need an assistant." He was blatantly stating the truth. He was even more confused now. "Read minds? Where in Hades would I get that ability?" But he consented to her challenge and attacked again with a slice at her shoulder.
Shade gazed at Zeke, watching him calmly. "More ice? When will you learn?" He shot the whirlwind of fire straight at the ice. The ground underneath rumbled, shooting crystals out and breaking parts of the ice, shattering them. The pieces were immediately melted then evaporated by his heated black flames. He was slightly tired from the sudden expense of energy, and he stumbled back a bit. Dark turned around momentarily losing his attention, but regained his fight with Renate when Shade shot him a glare. While he was at it, he shot four small daggers, all with blades flaming, at Zeke.

Tina shook her head, trying not to sob. "I-I don't remember. I'm not strong. You have to help me! I don't remember how to make plants grow..." She wanted to run over and cling to one of his sleeves and ignore the battle, but people were hurting. She couldn't calm down.

Zeke grinned, blowing the daggers off their path and into an unfortunate hellhound. "Oh, joy, you melted the ice. Tell me, Shade, you must have a little education in that head of your's. What is ice? Answer: Frozen water. So, tell me: Once you melt ice, does it go away? Is it destroyed? Or does it simply take another form?" At that, digging at his final reserves of strength, he reformed the ice and it closed in quicker. Fortunately for Shade, however, Zeke was too battle worn to realize that hellhound's little friend was pouncing on him from behind and he fell, the ice dissolving and being released into the atmosphere. The hellhound ripped his hoodie and made Zeke a little angry. He froze the dog-from-hell's drool - which was mostly water - and, slowly, pushed it backwards into his throat. Needless to say, it was a slow death. Painful, too. But it was justified. He'd ripped Zeke's favorite hoodie.
Julien smiled down at Tina. "Sorry, Tina, I can't help," he said, softly. "I still can't control my powers. It's up to you... no pressure!" he added the last part, lightheartedly or, at least, as lightheartedly as you can when you know you're about to die. Shame, he thought, I was starting to like this Camp.

Shade narrowed his eyes. He wasn't stupid. Alecto had taught him the most complicated ideals of chemistry. Of course he would remember at least he basics and his common sense. "Water can be evaporated." He replied bluntly. Shooting a column of flame at Zeke who was distracted by the monster.

Renate flashed a smile "Well that's interesting, does this mean Hades can make my own shadow attack me?" her question was soaked in a mixture of curiosity and excitement. But not until she said it that it might give Hades and Shade an idea, unless they could do no such and she was safe. Now with her hair pulled back she wouldn't have to worry about having it fall in her face during a battle, which was a kind thing of Dark to do, as in allow her a time out rather than try to kill her as she fixed her hair. Laughing she responded to Dark's question "Well I dunno, he kinda does have closer contact with spirits and such than Zeus. And I don't know how the gods all got their powers so they may get more. It's a possibility. But I just had to make sure, because if you could read minds I'd feel like your intruding into my own space. Not that your not doing that now, you kinda marched into my camp and attacked...but my mind is personal you know?" during her reply she ducked Dark's quick attack and tried to trip him quickly. But instead of attacking she just held her sword in defensive position as if training and not fighting.
----- Silver burst out laughing as Zeke froze the hell hound. She didn't bother meedle with their fight, thus she watched the giant puppy sneak up and play a innocent game of chew the Zeke. Her stormy gray eyes amused as she kept the storm clouds stirring. The amount of power in the air helping keep the monsters away. Silver was actually enjoying a show. Her eyes darting from Zeke to Shade studying both their battle tactics. Some from a third person point of view werent very well planned but the others worked out well to her amusement.

Sensing an increase of temperature, signaling heat of some sort - most likely fire - Zeke rolled to the side and sent a column of air bursting toward Shade. It was much easier to use his powers over wind but, c'mon, ice is so much more fun, right? "Yes," he replied to Shade, "but it takes a little more heat than that to evaporate water after you'd already used the same flame to melt my ice."

Dark tried not to groan, amazed by the nonexistance boundary in Renate's imagination. "No!" He exclaimed. He hadn't met any demigod so chatty during a fight before. He was rather ticked that the girl was carrying a conversation and not countering an attack of her own. he slashed again, with quick precision, at her other shoulder.
Shade narrowed his dark hazel eyes. He took in the blast of air, allowing it to beat at his flames. When giving oxygen to fire, the consequences could be immense. As it was now. The black flame flared back, hotter and deadlier than before, and Shade concentrated the heat, leaving some of the the black flames turning to ice, but not ice. It was a cold black rock. Obsidian. The heat was being concentrated into one area, blazing hotter than a clay kiln. He aimed it at Zeke, ready to release all the pent up flame within.

Silene sprang up out of nowhere, latching an iron grip on Shade's wrist to mess up his aim. She couldn't have the boy killing her cabin memebers. "Remember, Aaron Shade!" She wasn't going to let go. She was determined. Her icy grip spreading frast along his arms.
Tina~ She closed her eyes, concentrating. Remember...remember... She had to! Her friends were in danger! She looked at Julien, feeling somewhat hopeless. Then, the beginning of a tiny plant sprouted from the cabin floorboards, a bright lush green.

Renate frowned slightly "You know you don't have to be moody. I like having something on my mind while warming up for training later today." she shrugged smiling once more as her blade moved just as quick to block his. She stepped back and awaited for him to attack once more, finding it useless to try to kill a shadow if all it did was kill Shade and keep Dark alive. But even so she wouldn't kill Shade, she would simply wound him. "So did you mean 'no' as in he can't make a replica of me? Because that would be pretty legit," she said grinning as she stepped to the left and continued doing so as if circling Dark but all she was doing was positioning herself do she could see the rest of the battles while she fought her own. Sighing she glanced at Dark "I presume the fight is getting dull for you as well? Maybe we should actually try to go towards training rather than warm-up. But if you actually can a good fight would be great," she was being honest. All they were doing was simple attacks and chatting. Nothing possibly difficult.

Zeke stopped dead in his tracks. He saw what Shade was doing and was petrified, though he'd never admit it. He saw black flame erupt from Shade. He saw some harden into a black, shining stone. He saw Seline leap. He saw Shade's arm begin to freeze. Throughout this, he stayed still, staring at Shade in horror.
Julien looked at his sister in admiration, spotting a leaf sprouting out of the floor of the cabin, then more. "Well done," he gleamed.

Shade hadnt been watching Silene. The moment he was about to shoot the fire at Zeke, his trajectory went off course. It was released, a stream of compacted fire so hot, it melted the ice off his arms partially. The flame burst forth in a bullet, blazing with a seering heat. The grass underneath its path smoldered. It hit the ground with an explosion of black flames. The heat was so intense that once the black flames died away, a wild, normal red fire sprung up from the smoking grass that was in the shot's wake. Shade was just as shocked at Silene as Zeke was to him. He pulled back his arm, trying to get her to release him. For now, he was too stunned to remember to attack. That energy he had used was purely meant to kill, and he has never used it on anyone before. Was it relief that he hadnt hit Zeke he felt? Was he grateful to Silene? He had killed before, but for some reason, it felt wrong now. For some reason, his mind sparked for a moment. He had heard Silene's voice. He knew Silver. He knew them, but from where? Did he really forget something he was supposed to remember?
Dark sighed, a bi tin exasperation, once again answering her questions. "No, he can't." He noticed a sudden drop in energy inside him. Next came the explosion, then a wild red fire springing up. Wha-? Shade! What had he done? He risked taking his eyes off of Renate for a moment, catching sight of Silene and Shade.

Renate turned to see what Datk was looking up. Her eyes widening at the fire. "WHAT DID YOU DO?!?" she yelled at Shade her eyes flashing dangerously. "What trying to kill innocent nymphs as well? That's low. Really low." her brown eyes blazing with fury as she glared at Shade.
Silver jumped up at the fire. The explosion reminded her of many things. The sky suddently crackled. The fire seemed to add darkness to the air. "Silene and Zeke try to stop the fire before it spreads!" if Silver could she would but lightning causes fire as well if she hit something to dry. Lightning crackled threatening to crash down on Shade for his recklessness. "Idiot! Didn't you know what would happen? How could you be so reckless!" her voice became even colder than usually. She felt her anger flashing in the form of lightning as a fence shot up ready to electrocute him. But Silver wasn't mad at Shade for this. The spirits of pain clouding her vision as the real world disappeared and all she saw was the horrible fire that kept them from running out of the grocery store and surviving. She didn't see Shade as human anymore. All she felt was the electric sparks shimmering off her with a dangerous amount of energy. Her eyes were glowing a electrifying blue as she glared at Shade only one message could be read in her eyes. Kill.

Silene didn't really comprehend the power he had focused into that one shot. "You were really trying to kill him." She said, a bit stunned at her own words. She read his expression as well. Shade was just as shocked as her. She pulled him towards her, aiming a solid punch across his face. "You're not Shade. Not the one we all knew. Get out. You're an enemy."
Tina looked up at Julien gratefully for the support. The plants continued to grow, and the little girl grew warm inside. They were listening! The tangle of trees and vines sprouted outside as well. It covered the dead, protected the injured from monsters. She felt the energy drain from her. The fire and explosion was sudden, and many of her plants began to burn. Their voices screaming in her mind. She didn't know what to do. The red hot fire was deadly, and she couldn't do anything about it. Her power was exhausted, and so was she. A moment before she could warn her brother behind her, she fainted.

Shade could tell that for both him and Silene, the other's voices were only in the background. "Yeah, I was going to kill him." He stated matter-of-factedly. But they both knew he had hesitated. He stumbled back, tasting blood after taking her punch. He shot a deadly glare at the girl, then at Silver. Lightning. The girl looked like she was ready to murder him.
Dark ran away from Renate, catching Shade by his arm. "That's enough, you've used too much energy. Let the fire do the rest." His words were almost gentle to the boy.

Renate glared at Dark. Let the fire do the rest? But Silver was already furious a bolt falling from the sky down at Dark rather than Shade. And a electric fence became dangerously closer. She had watched the battles with amusement long enough to know some faults in the two. But Renate on the other hand wasn't that furious her brown eyes widening. She couldn't help, she had no powers. "Silene!" the Ares camper yelled knowing that at least she could do something.
