Shade was genuinely shocked. He fell back, flipping out of the way of Silene's attack. "My name...How do you know my name?" The son of Hades eyed Silene carefully, distrustfully. "I don't know you, and I have never been to this camp before. I ask, what are you talking about?" Shade turned to gaze at the angry Zeke. The moment the shards of ice got near him, they melted, dripping to the floor. A black flame burst around him, voting his whole form. The flames licked out, preventing anyone from nearing him. He was utterly confused. What was going on?

Zeke stepped back from the flames. He quickly disintegrated his weapons and the air around him warmed up, slightly as he lessened his influence over the temperature. This boy was strong. No living or frozen thing would be able to get near Shade. Still, Zeke had options, though he thought it best to hang back a little, as he was quickly tiring himself. He was rather strong for a demi-god. His power could rival that of a regular child of an Olympian. After all, Boreas, his father, was older than any Olympian. When it came to fighting a Child of the Big Three, however, Zeke had to admit (to himself, as he would not admit any weakness to another) that he stood quite a bit less of a chance of victory than normal. Now if only I were a child of Nike, goddess of victory. he thought with his ADHD brain going off topic and wandering in thought. There'd be no way to lose!

Tina found herself being pulled in to the cabin. As it was locked, the door began to shutter with monsters throwing themselves against it. She began to cry for the first time. She hadn't cried when dad told her that she was a demigod. She hadn't cried when she realized dad was sick with some bad disease. She hadn't cried when her arm was burned. But now she did, because she was afraid and she had thought she was going to die. She wrapped her arms around Julien's waist-she couldn't really reach anywhere farther up. "Julien. Julien, Julien, Julien. I'm scared...I'm so scared..."

Shade watched the son of Boreas with dark hazel eyes that swirled with conflict. He decided to ignore Silene. She could be lying. Yes, she was probably just trying to distract him.
He Kept his attention no longer on Zeke himself, but the ground underneath him. "You hesitating?" Shade's voice was heated and unforgiving. The minerals in the earth seemed to shift, and sharp gems erupted from the ground, stabbing upward to impale Zeke.

Renate side stepped, but miscalculating his stab he grazed past her right arm a slight cut going right under her dragon tattoo, she laughed "Oh Dark aren't you a good boy?" her voice a mocking coe "Is Shade gonna give you doggie treats when you go back to hell, or are you being such an obedient mutt because you're getting something out of it?" Renate snickered. Nobody did anything for free nowadays, not even the gods. So if she got into Dark's thoughts, if any, she could find out what held him and Shade together, since Shade was obviously an insane lunatic. In mid thought she paused and wondered if he could read minds. She smiles hopefully. If anything you should know about Renate was that A. She loved dark mysteries B. she loved action and drama C. She loved having fun and fighting and D. She loved a challenged. Dark posing all in a amusing standard she couldn't help but laugh whenever he spoke. Her brown eyes were taunting as she beckoned him to continue attacking "Come on big boy, I've got a whole lifetime ahead of me, don't stop the action," Renate didn't even notice the earlier cut, but now she was and she couldn't help but laugh. In a way she was mocking Dark.

Dark narrowed his eyes. "I am my master's shadow. Not a dog. I follow his orders because I must. We're almost..friend's, you could say." He smiled wryly at his own words. He really didn't understand these humans and their ways of taunting. It didn't work much on him because he had lived for a long time having Alecto constantly bickering with him. He First saw Shade at the age of five. He still looked the exact same at the time. He had grown attached to that kid. He had been the one that taught him how to fight. What happened to him happened to Shade. And if it wasn't a good thing, Hades wouldn't be amused anyway. Dark consented to her request by attacking again, spinning to the side for a moment, then lashed outward at her.

Zeke, realizing his mistake when he heard the ground rumbling, leapt sideways, though his arm was grazed by a crystal that had shot up from the ground. Freezing the top to stop the blood, he couldn't help but grin. "So, Shade, looks like I'm your favorite, eh?" he said, mockingly. "You ignore Seline, you ignore all the little demigods running around. You keep attacking me. Gee, I feel so special!" Leaping up about fifteen feet, propelled by wind, he reformed his ice katana and, while in midair, swung each sabre, a row of ice flying off each in Shade's direction. Landing feet from Shade, he blew a gale force wind at him, running up and slashing at him with his katana.
Julien glanced down at his little half-sister, finding her crying. Putting a gentle arm around her, he whispered, "It's all going to be fine. Don't worry, they're not getting in here." As if on cue, a large boom came from the door and the slit in the door from Tina's sword cracked open, further.

Renate smiled a bit sweetly. "If your his shadow why do you have your body? And if you guys are friends why follow orders and not talk it out?" she stepped back as he spun to observe his movements. The lunge was easily deflected. But instead of attacking quickly, she asked a question out of curiosity her blade holding his still until he moved it, her caramel eyes studying him like a beautiful sword "Are shade shadows like yourself only given to children of Hades, or by the Hades's orders? Because Summer doesn't have one, at least not that I've seen," this natural of Renate. In the middle of a fight she would switch to a casual conversation just because she actually enjoyed learning, and listening to a certain extent. Her grandmother once said its because surviving and fighting was a instinct so her brain wasn't challenged like everybody else's. But even so she wouldn't let her guard down. Her caramel eyes watched Dark monitoring every movement as she awaited a reply. In a way she wished Shade didn't go insane, his powers seem interesting and she wouldn't mind seeing how Dark acts outside a battle or if he just turns into a shadow. Glancing at her own shadow she wondered if it would pop out and look like her or be the opposite. What if her shadow was a better fighter than herself? But all she thought was 'that would be so cool!!!'
Renate paused "So since your the servant friend I'm guessing you didn't decide to fight the camp, why did you guys come with an army of hell hounds? What is in camp that you need?" her caramel eyes curious as she continued watching and wondering about his kind. Can they feel? Are they like people only with shadow claws? Can he read Shade's mind? How far does their bond go? Can it be broken? If she killed Shade would it kill Dark? Or is it a one way street, kill Shade and Shade dies but Dark just gets punished by his father? She wondered if Dark could eat or was he like Casper the ghost? Does Dark know Casper, or is Casper really a myth? She smiled not wanting to drown him in questions yet, but they kept on swirling through her head.
--------------
Suddently the sky went nearly pitch black. Thunder rolling in noisily as Silver walked forward calmly. Child of Zeus attracted attention normally, her fish net stockings burnt and torn her white shirt seemed to be tilted and the left shoulder seemed to sparkle as a metallic swirl glided from the left shoulder to the rest of the shirt and the lightning in the air made it spark up. Her black motorcycle boots matched her black skirt as she whistled. A voice laughing in the back of her head 'so the party started without us, I hope we don't do too much crashing' Silver laughed looking at her clear sword as a spark of lightning flew through it aimed perfectly at a approaching monster. She could nearly see his face in the sword. But a relieved sigh from a Athena cabin member brought her back. Her eyes flashed to a bright luminescent electrifying blue. She glanced at the Demeter cabin to make sure Tina was safe before she made hell break loose, or rather sent hell back down since Shade did that himself. But all she saw was a closed door and some monsters tearing it open. She didn't sprint nor speed walked but kept her casual step. Her eyes didn't show worry. Some monsters lunged forward to fly back as the protective bubble around her zapped them painfully. When she reached the cabin door she zapped the monsters there backwards and the few that resisted were killed by crashing lightning, her sword still stainless. Calling in she said "On the roof! Arrows I'm sure you can at least do long shots! Tina you need to make plants help your camp members. Make walls around the wounded bury the dead. Get rid of the blood stains on the ground. " with that she stepped away casually and went to view the battle between Shade and Zeke. Zeke would lose unless Shade was more idiotic than presumed or Zeke was really lucky and used his powers quickly because as a child of the Big Three who too trained at a young age she knew the amount of power in her than in a child of a minor god. After all they are minor gods, not Big Three. If they had as much energy as children of Zeus, Poseidon, or Hades then those gods would not be called minor, the fact obvious. Silver never stepped into a already occurring fight, she found it rude and the loser always learns something new.

Justin suddently could barely see. Eyes narrowing he saw lightning, and the one and only Silver. Grinning he wanted to approach her, to laugh. But he knew better than to stop in the middle of a battle to approach her, or rather it was a bad idea to approach her period. Blinking he shook his head to find a hell hound lunging forward. Instinct taking over he dived to the side and avoided the creature long enough to shot an arrow.

(O.0)
Summer paused, tilting her head slightly in confusion at Dark. Her sword had only lashed through him, so why did he actually seem worried? It surprised her when Dark explained what had happened. Shade had formed a bond with this creature? If she hurt the shade, then it would only hurt Shade? And if he was killed... She couldn't do that! Shade was the only family she had now. She would be alone again! Summer realized it was probably what the shade wanted her to think, but she didn't care. As Dark and Renate fought, there were many openings were she could get in, but everytime, Summer hesitated, then it was too late. As long as the possibility of killing Shade was there, Summer couldn't attack Dark. But she couldn't just tell Renate to stop. Summer felt pretty useless standing there, but she didn't know what to do anymore. Retreat from this fight with Dark? It certainly didn't look like Renate needed her help, anyways. But would that make her look weak? That she let's her feelings push her around? But she just couldn't bring herself to attack. Summer knew that Shade wasn't really evil. He couldn't be, right? Shade was actually a calm, quiet kid, who lost his memory? Summer realized that she had no idea what Shade was actually like. Perhaps he acted like this in the Underworld with their dad? Maybe this was another chance at family? That was always more important than a stupid camp, right? Glancing back at Renate, Summer called apologetically, "I'm sorry, but I can't," then turned and disappeared into the crowd to fight a monster. Who cared what they thought of her now?

Renate didn't mind. If Shade was her brother and she found out this fight would kill him Renate would do the same. But she had no bond with Shade thus she didn't really care, all she wanted currently was to find out more, her curiosity driving her to herself.

Dark resisted the urge to roll his eyes. "Honestly, demigods these days love to ask questions." He almost said the sentence to himself. He coughed to himself, wondering why exactly Renate wasn't facing him too seriously, or trying to attack back. So he decided to answer her questions. "Well, we shades are nothing but human hate. I am the master's lack of power, born from his envy of others. But now he is plenty strong, and I grow a slight bit weaker. And so I nurture his growth. I am his friend under his command. Very much like a soldier under a general. Can they not be friends?"............... Shade glared at Zeke, feeling plenty of spite pour into his emotions. "You're the only one that has a chance, that is, if you don't use ice." It was like he was mocking Silene by saying so. The flames around him exploded, flaring out suddenly as if in a whirlwind of an inferno. The ice daggers were blown away, melted, then evaporated in a matter of seconds. His wind was countered by Zeke's, and they formed a mist from conflicting temperatures. Shade slid back, then blocked Zeke's blade with his own flaming Stygian iron. And he melted the ice katana the son of Boreas held. He spun out in a kick, the flames flaring along his leg to cook the boy into a crisp. "Less talking and more fighting, Dark." He warned, able to hear the shade's conversation.

Tina looked up gratefully at Julien, but all that was gone as a crash sounded at the door. She nearly jumped straight into the cieling, letting out a small yelp of fear. Instantly, like a blessing, lightning crackled and the monsters were still, no longer pounding on the fragile door. She blinked in confusion, releasing Julien. Silver's voice sounded a command, and she began to somewhat panic. "Plants? I don't remember...I mean that I...I don't...I have to help..." She looked up at Julien, completely at a loss. She couldn't remember how she summoned the plants in the first place.
Silene~ She gritted her teeth, annoyed that her powers put her at a great disadvantage here. She shot a few ice daggers at Shade just as he attacked. They were right on target...until a mini tornado of black flame enveloped the boy, blowing heated wind everywhere in all directions. Silene hated it this hot. He had to go and ruin the perfectly chilly winter weather they were having.

"Aw, thanks," Zeke teased, jumping back just in time to avoid a burn. His ice katana reformed almost immediately, though he knew it was of little use. "Now would you like a little demonstration of what I can do?" Zeke closed his eyes and and gust of wind blew around him, knocking everyone who got too close back enough to keep him safe. Then, a ring of ice formed around him, growing to the thickness of a tree. The back of the ice broke apart and the ice lashed, like a whip, and surrounded Shade from a distance, slowly closing. "Oh, but I'm just a child of a Minor God. No need to worry," he beamed, slightly mocking Seline.
Julien looked down at Tina. "I wish I could be as strong as you..." he muttered, a French accent slipping in a little more noticeably than usual. Julien stepped back, giving Tina enough room to do whatever she needed to do.

“It’s the natural curiosity of being half-human, haven’t you ever wondered about something?” Renate replied grinning “Like what a party is like, why does the world attack you the way it does, what is friendship, what are emotions, why do they affect our actions so much? Etc…” she studied him carefully. He didn’t seem to have experienced everything a normal person would have, even if he isn’t really a person more of an extension of Shade. “So since you are growing weaker, Shade is growing stronger. If Summer doesn’t have one does that mean she is as strong as she can get?” Renate asked Dark, completely ignoring Shade order towards Dark. Holding up her finger as if saying wait she started pulling her hair back in a slick ponytail, then returned back to the posture of earlier. “You know Dark, for a bad guy you’re not that bad, just slightly…hm…too obedient, like you don’t act on your own thoughts and desires. More like you act on Shade’s or rather what Shade think his are. So I guess that makes Shade the ‘not that bad of a guy’ guy. But you know, I’m sure when you do get a chance to do what you desire and act the way you wish you wouldn’t be that bad.” She grinned pointing the tip of her sword at him. “Should we continue?” she smiled as if asking to play a game rather than fight in a battle with real swords. I’m sure the two could be good friends..to bad they are attacking camp… she thought her smile not wavering. Clicking her tongue she then said “Before we continue I have another question, can you read minds by any chance? Because if so I would like to know, since my mind is my own private sector, you know cause if you read my mind you could just like invade my own private area, which would be creepy and add to your many strange abilities.” She shrugged the thought passing through her mind earlier.
