Terry looked left and right. The buildings were tall and there were cars and taxis everywhere. Ant demigod would be easily lost. Except he had friends lost with him. Kat had a map, but they weren't even sure where to go. They thought they should get a look around and maybe get more familiar with the place.
Terry himself was utterly confused.

Shade admitted. He pushed his hair out of his eyes. He agreed with Matthew wholeheartedly. It was gonna take forever.

Kat grinned "The mall is that way!" she pointed down the road were at the end you could see a tall tower.

Terry laughed. "Tell you what, when we come back, okay? When we come back, I promise I will take you there. I get a day's rest first though, alright?" Terry offered Kat. Well, she knew where one thing was. What about the rest?

Sticking her tongue out at Matthew she laughed "I wasn't going to take you anyways. You could barely carry 5 bags!" smiling at Terry she laughed "Ok! But you don't have to come unless you want to..." thinking she added "Maybe we should go somewhere small and shabby to stay, so that we aren't asked many questions..."

"Coffee shop?" He pointed at the Starbucks across the street. There were people hanging around outside and some teens chatting at tables. They could blend in easily.

Shade gazed at the shop. It seemed perfect for them t blend it. Was it luck? He liked coffee too. It was getting late. His watch read nine. Coffee would keep them awake. Maybe get a hotel room and resume their search later.

"Well I was suggesting somewhere to stay. But coffee sounds good!" she smiled and bounded to the coffee shop. Starbucks's warm smells running through her as she grinned. "Can I have a frozen lattee?" she asked the employee. Crossing her fingers she hoped they did have those, the words on the menu being jumbled up. "Don't put too much sugar," she added.
Luck being on her side. They actually did have those. And after receiving hers she took a seat. Wrinkling her nose she stuck out her tongue "Ewww it's bitter! But tasty!" she laughed. A neighboring teen snickering "Try sugar," tossing a small pouch of sugar at her she grinned "Haha great idea!" obviously, she wasn't trying to blend in. Just wanting to get a good frozen latte. The group of mortal teens laughing.

He walked to the table next to Kat with his frozen cappuccino. He looked over at the neighboring teens and they slowly stopped laughing. He sat down and drank it without extra sugar. He liked his bitter. It woke him up better.

Kat leaned back in her chair speaking in a calm voice as the teens stopped laughing and just stared at Shade as if he were a serial killer Who's he? Kat looked at Shade "That's my friend," she told them. They stared at Shade, and Kat shifted. "So, I'm new to Manhattan, and I was wondering if you would mind showing me and my friends around?" she asked flashing a brilliant smile. Is he new too? they asked her. Kat looked at Shade "Yeah, there are some of my other friends," she said pointing towards Terry, Kayden, and Matthew. Dang, you travel with alot of guys a girl laughed. Kathrine blushed and smiled "So how about it?"

He walked over with an iced mocha and a cookie. Unlike Shade, he dumped a pack of sugar in even though it was somewhat sweet. He took a sip and smiled at the teens. Then he turned back to Kat, Shade, Matthew, and Kayden. He offered a cookie to each. "I brought extras."

The teens smiled at Terry He is cute... a girl whispered to Kat smiled at Terry "Thanks. Meet Lisa, Robert, Jasmin, Fredrick, and Olivia. They are gonna help tour us around town. Right?" she asked them. Olivia the girl who whispered to Kat automatically smiled and nodded "I work at a grocery store, so you can come see me there," she smiled at Terry. Kat's eyes narrowed, but she shrugged the feelings off as she took a offered cookie "Your gonna be up all night," she laughed as he dumped the pack of sugar into his coffee.

"No, I sleep easily. It's almost like I can be son of Hypn-" He stopped himself, aware of the other teens.he smiled back at the girl, feeling uneasy. He nodded in thanks to them. "That would be great if you could show us around. I'm Terry. This is Kathrine, Matthew, Kayden, and Shade." He introduced each. He acted like he didn't hear the invitation from Olivia.
