aurora blackwell, daughter of hepheastus, hot headed and quite silly hispanic was doing possibly the strangest thing in the metal shop. running around and playing candles everywhere. such an action was questionable, and queer. but her love for candles lead her to not caring about outside opinions, lighting a small flame in her palm she concentrated on making it grow, sorta like a warm up. but she unfortunately had no idea how to control her powers and the flame flickered away. this was her trying to teach herself how to control her powers, and seeing as that she couldn't exactly play with fire outside... concentrating on a flame she tried to create a fire. small lights flickering. but never sticking. a small spark maybe. but not a flame. feeling a bit irritated after about twenty minutes of practice she gave up glaring at the white candles. why couldn't she light the candles?

He had tried the metal shop before. Actually, he was horrible at these things, and only came here for peace and quiet. He had learned that usually no one came here, so he teleported inside the metal shop the moment he stepped outside his cabin door to avoid being seen. He was tired, and anyone could tell just by looking at his dead and frazzled look. Kat had still not returned from her journey, and he knew he should have gone with her.
Terry popped in the room, immediately letting out a string of Greek curses at his own stupidness. He stopped, realizing that there was someone else in here, and he had no explanation for what he had just done. Ugh, why hadn't he checked? The son of Hermes offered up a sheepish grin. "Oh, I'm really sorry about that....I didn't mean to...um...I'm just a little frustrated, having a bad day. He studied the girl before him, not recognizing her. "Are you new? I'm Terry, Hermes cabin leader."

Fortunately, Aurora had never meet one of the children of Hermes. The troublemakers were notorious for their pranks and jokes, which she would have enjoyed but none the less it's saved her potential embarrassment. Unfortunately though, it didn't save her the shock or from squeaking when the boy suddenly appeared. Blinking and quickly regaining her composure she replied "Oh no it's fine!" And with a sheepish grin she added "yeah sorta, Aurora Blackwell daughter of Hepheastus..." She told him brightly.

"Aurora, huh?" Terry repeated her name with a cheerful grin and a musing expression that would have told anyone to turn tail and run because the slyness in his grin was at maximum capacity. It looked like anytime now some snakes were gonna pop out from under the table or some other horrible prank would undergo its purpose. he pulled back, shoving his hands in his pockets to show that no pranks would happen today. It was his policy for meeting new people. He tried not to make a horrible first impression. "Nice to meet ya! You making something?" he asked curiously.
