Karsyn Cartell sat by the edge of the crystal clear lake, the hot sun beating down on her. She really didn't care about that at this point though. Today, she just wanted to sit her, and take things easy. Being a daughter of Athena, she pretty much trained to sharpen her battle skills, or she read. Being the goddess of wisdom and war, Athena expected her children to be exactly what they were..Extremely intelligent and good in battle, which Karsyn was. She also had looks that could kill..Honey blonde curls, bright intense blue-grey eyes, and a slim figure. She wore her hair up since it was a hot day, and wore an Areopostale T-shirt and shorts combo, and was barefoot. Her father, before he had to put her in the camp, would tell Karsyn she'd make some man very happy one day. ~If I live that long..~
Karsyn usually wasn't so down about herself, or anything for that matter. She was usually very upbeat about things..About life in general. She was just usually a happy person, but not today. Today, she'd recieved a letter from their father, but she wasn't angry. Kar had heard most of the campers stories, about how when their mortal mother or father saw things happening, it caused trouble and the kids hated their mortal parent for not trying to protect them, when they really were. Karsyn knew her father was trying to protect her..And she missed him. Getting letters struck her hard because she knew that she only got to see her father on holidays..Which it was agreed was the best option for her. She sighed and reread the letter, taking in every word.
It had said her father missed her and wished the holidays would come sooner. He asked how she was making friends, which she would reply, and honestly, that she had many friends and which she did, because Kar wasn't hard to get along with. Then things got serious, like in every other letter she'd recieved from her father. He said he wished she could be a normal teenager. He said though, that even if she wasn't a normal teenager, she was the daughter of a father who loved her, and a daughter of a goddess that out of all the other goddesses he'd heard about, was the one he loved the most. She just sighed and stared down into the water.
(OOC: Sorry if it makes no sense..I was just trying to get my first thread up, haha. Hope if you like it you decide to reply!)
