Not to come off as a complete nerd or anything, but I noticed that the Underworld doesn't function correctly here. There's three main areas: Fields of Punishment, Fields of Asphodel, and Elysium. Tartarus is a pit for monsters and Titans and other threats. The Isles of Blest, however, are different for entry. A soul, when having a good life, will be sent to Elysium. If good enough, such as having done a heroic deed, will be allowed to choose rebirth, and will get their memories wiped in the River Lithe and once again live a new life. If a soul is put in Elysium and rebirthed three times, and still lives a good enough life to be put in Elysium, they will then go to the Isles of Blest, where they can stay in eternal peace or something like that. So...yeah. I was just thinking, if anyone's character dies...that way, they can rebirth, but as a whole different person, of course.

So that would mean Max and Lauren should be reborn? xP sorry I'm super tired and kinda confused xDDD

Naw, they get a choice if they're chosen. Just so that if someone who has their character die, they can make them reborn into a different character. I'm just saying that the Underworld is missing Elysium.

Hm...So I can just turn my Max account into a different character if I felt like it? Hm... And it would make her a completely different person? Or would she still remember who she was before?

If you're sticking to the way the Underworld works in the actual myths, she'd be a different person with no memories of her life as Max until she died, again. To get to the Isles, you have to live three lives, each time achieving the honor of Elysium without any knowledge of past lives.

Oh I see. Well I suppose it isn't a huge problem since I think out total of dead accounts are...3? But maybe if let's say Julien/Lauren/Max was reborn should he/she just keep the same account and we have a thread start again so we can track what life he's/she's on? Idk. This should be more towards your stuff considering you guys understand the whole Underworld concept better.

Well, I'm a mythology geek (the reason I got into Percy Jackson in the first place) and actually do research on it from time to time because I find it so interesting. From what I understand happens, it's so confusing it'd honestly be easier to leave the option of rebirth out. Mention it, maybe, but no one ever actually go through the process.
When the person is reborn, they take on a different family, a different personality, and they start from the beginning. If you chose to have a character reborn, they'd be a newborn child - possibly not even a demigod. Heck, there's even a small possibility they'd become a monster in their next life, making things difficult to get to the Isles, seeing as monsters are typically cruel and live pretty much forever.
It'd take years for the new character to be old enough to legitly role-play and I doubt this site will last that long, no matter how much we would like it to. We all have lives and as we age, they get busier and busier. Less time for sites like this. So, I vote we can mention the option but members are forbidden to take it. However, you could make a character be on their 3rd rebirth or something and, when they die, they regain all their memories and are sent to the Isles.
It's all very complicated. Those are just my ideas. Sorry for the longness.
