Amazed, she willed her pencil to move faster. With each pencil mark, the picture became more clear. She felt really good inside, at least the feeling was pleasant. Switching to a darker shade, she drew where impact was made and such.
Awestruck, she looked up briefly to just watch the fight, and then took out her earphones so she simply detect movements with hearing. Gabrielle was smart and charming, but the boy seemed to have natural reflexes.
(Even shorter, but I mean...all she's doing is drawing o.o)

(Mine's gonna be short, too)
Zeke parried Gabrielle's stab, icing his shin over with thick ice to block her kick. "It's fun having powers," he taunted, swinging one katana outward while his other stabbed forward toward his opponent's stomach. Withdrawing, he sent a few more shards of ice flying in Gabrielle's direction. Zeke was confident he would be the victor. His icy eyes gleamed with confidence. He'd only lost one fight before since he could remember - to Renate. Then again, he couldn't remember much. His memory only went back to his arrival at camp, after all, a couple months previous.

oh he did not just call her powerless. a sudden fire burst to life inside her , making gabrielle glare at him subconsciously. she blocked few of the shards with her dagger , kicking back the katana that was aimed for her stomach. and rather involuntarily , the fifteen year old brunette tossed her dagger , withdrawing another from her shorts. hey , it wasn't their business if she kept the other one hidden.
the black - eyed girl silently repeated to herself not to let her anger take control over her. and with more success than she expected , gabrielle merely waited for his next move , already thinking of another way to attack zeke. the brunette kept her gaze locked on the blonde - haired boy in front of her , controlling herself inwardly as she waited for the assault.

Cascade quickly drew the second weapon, adding details all the way down to their facial expressions. The battle paused for a moment, when each brawler waited for their opponent's attack. They both seemed to powerful for the battle to be real, but she knew that anything was possible. Pinching herself just in case, she confirmed that this was, indeed, reality.
Her eyes flitted across the paper, looking from the duo to her sketchbook over and over again, scrawling out every last bit.
(Short. o.o)

Zeke blocked the dagger, seeing a new determination in Gabrielle's eyes. As she drew another dagger, Zeke began to process her strategy, which seemed to be to feint and just be generally sneaky. He'd have to stay alert.
He took a few steps back, both swords melting from his hands. The air around them shimmered with ice as Zeke willed more shards of ice to form. They hung there, midair, for a moment before being sent off toward the daughter of Athena. Zeke was wearing out his powers. He'd used them too extensively earlier, they were failing him, now. He was too afraid to tap into his reserves for, though they would give him an energy boost, he had worked to cut them off for a reason. He often had trouble controlling his power once it was all let loose. So, instead, he stuck with what he had.

being the daughter of wisdom and battle strategy , gabrielle did have a few tricks up her sleeve. she blocked the shards of ice with the dagger she currently held , feeling her blood grow cold as the intesity of the ice was unbearable. but she refused to give up. she knew as long as she distract zeke , she could do what she was thinking of doing.
gabby grinned playfully , teasingly , at zeke , revealing her white , even teeth as she did so. she noticed he was growing tired of using his powers but something in the back of her mind told her he still had the energy left to do to her what he did to the remaining dummies earlier when she was only watching. but the brunette chose not to acknowledge that any further. “had enough , zeke?” damien asked , her grin growing wider asshe spoke.
oh how she loved taunting her opponents , trying their patience until they lost out and went ballistic on her. with that done , gabrielle started manipulating the other dagger that rested on the ground just a few feet behind the son of boreas. she willed it to raise with the use of her mind until its point was aiming for his leg. with that , she feinted one more time before willing the dagger behind him to strike like a snake.

Cascade's eyes widened as she witnessed telekinesis for the first time. She had no idea that the children of Athena had that skill. Quickly, she sketched the basic outline of Gabrielle's stance, levitating the dagger like nobody's business. It didn't look like this would be an easy fight, though, and Cascade was prepared to draw out whatever Zeke had in store for Gabrielle. Would this perchance be a show of talent, or an actual battle? She didn't think they could seriously injure each other, but if they did, she was prepared to step in, no matter how weak she was compared to him. Well....Cascade had a small voice inside her head TELLING her she was prepared, but mentally, she knew she wasn't.

Zeke grinned at Gabrielle's taunts. "Oh, I'm fine. You just worry about yourself," he grinned. That's when she feinted. He was ready for her to make another move, but saw none coming. Then, he felt a sharp pain in the back of his leg. Collapsing, he pulled the dagger out of his leg, blood pouring out onto the sandy floor of the arena. Tossing it aside, his wound iced over - Zeke's version of a band-aid.
His eyes involuntarily iced over and the wind picked up. "Ouch," he said, emotionlessly. An icy tendril snaked its way across the ground from Zeke toward his opponent and victim. It leaped from the ground, alike a snake striking at its prey, the tip sharper than a blade and hard as diamond.

“watch out.” gabrielle laughed , her grin now never leaving her face. but it was short lived as zeke used his powers again to attack her. she didn't notice at first but she did now as a sharp blade of ice was now stuck on her shin as she tried to jump aside. she gritted her teeth in pain , blood seeping down from her new wound.
gabrielle muttered a curse and a hiss of pain as she removed the sharp tip of the ice from her leg , making blood spurt out even more. she threw her own weapon to the floor , knowing that both of them were beat and unlikely to keep this up without ending up in killing each other.

Cascade watched in horror as blood was shed. She set down her sketchbook and ran to Gabrielle's aid, despite her shyness and the fact that this was risking her life. From her backpack, she retrieved a small medical kit. Cascade took out disinfectant and gauze, tilting her head to question Gabrielle if she wanted treatment or not. She looked over her shoulder to make sure the boy wasn't going to kill her.
(This is short...I'm tired...it's 2:13AM here...and... I can't sleep. ._.)

gabrielle stayed in complete silence as cascade rushed over and tilted her head to ask damien if she wanted to be treated or not about the gash on her leg. gabrielle nodded in response , sitting down on the sandy floor of the arena and letting cascade treat her wound. even if it hurt , she didn't care because for her , it was only practice.
of course they'd be hurt at some point. the brunette flashed a grin at zeke's direction , not noticing cascade's glance at the blonde - haired boy. gabby beckoned him with her hand , taking the dagger back and sheathing it swiftly back under her sleeve. “nice technique.” damien called to zeke , forcing herself not to wince in pain.

The disinfectant had alcohol in it; of course it would hurt. She wrapped the wound in gauze after using water manipulation to clean out the wound before applying disinfectant, so it'd look as if she only used disinfectant. The gauze went around the wound tightly, and Cascade knew that the wound wasn't just the average flesh wound. However, seeing Gabrielle was tough and brushed it off like it was nothing, she said nothing. She had to respect other people's choices.
Running back to her backpack in a light jog, she put her art supplies away and simply sat in a casual position that was comfortable while she watched. It didn't look like the wound would hinder Gabrielle much, but perchance she was putting up a strong front.

The wind died as Zeke cut off his powers. Gabrielle had surrendered so he wouldn't push things. Cascade ran over to the girl but he simply shrugged, sitting down, not caring she went to her instead. In fact, Zeke would have probably shooed the girl away had she come to tend to his still iced-over wound.
'Nice technique'. Zeke glanced over to Gabrielle, smirking. "You're too predictable," he said, snidely, not even attempting to return a compliment. Why should he? As he saw things, he was the victor. Champions don't compliment the weak in Zeke's book.

Now that the fight was considered over, Cascade felt more calm, though she didn't tend to Zeke's wound because she still found him intimidating. But anyway, he seemed to have himself covered anyway; it appeared he'd covered the wound with ice. If he was fine that way, she had no reason to butt in and try to forcefully bandage it. After all, she clearly was frightened of him, and he clearly enjoyed her fear.
Even after taking a blow, Gabrielle got up, seeming to have a strong front. However, Cascade knew that the wound was too deep for it not to affect the girl. Gabrielle didn't say anything about it, so neither did Cascade. She had to respect the older camper's decisions, because it was-frankly-none of her business to bother with it. Suddenly, Cascade doubted herself. Why had she even gone out there? It appeared to be that Gabrielle would have given up anyway.
