Apperance:

A slender girl, tall for her age, standing at 5'5". She's athletic looking, but not very muscular. She takes more after her mortal mother in appearance. Simone has shoulder-length red-brown hair and intelligent gray eyes. Her face is freckled and pretty in a childish way. She's lost most of her baby fat though, and her mother's beauty is prominent in her face.

Personality:

Simone, like in appearance, is more like her mother in personality. She's very friendly, always smiling. Simone has no trouble making new friends, though only a select few are very close. She's not flighty, and will stick with all of her friends. It's her stubbornness that gets her into trouble with others. She's not very aggressive, unless in a competition. She is very competitive, which is where her nasty side can show. Oh, she's really not a bad person, but her angry feelings are vented through sports. She's stronger than she looks, both physically and mentally. When she's excited, she lapses into French, the language she knows best. Every now and then, she'll mix the two languages on accident.

History:

Born in France, Simone lived with her mother and her step-father, who she believed to be her father. Simone's mother was an American artist studying in France when she caught the attention of Apollo. And what's happened throughout history happened again. The god falls for the mortal, they have a child, and the god is 'called away' for something. Simone's mother was only 19 when the girl was born. She married a year later, a french artist who would be Simone's mock-father. The happy family moved to America when Simone was 3 years old, old enough to know and remember French, but young enough to learn English. She is fluent in both, speaking without accent. Simone's mother told Simone about her real father when she was 12, and Simone didn't take it well at first. She ran away from her house, only to be attacked by a monster she doesn't remember clearly. She was easily KO'd by the beast, but it mistook her lack of movement as death, and left the girl to be found by her searching parents later. She made a full recovery, but remembers little of the struggle with the beast. Simone's mother received a pamphlet advertising Camp Half-blood anonymously in the mailbox, suspiciously missing any signs of postage. Simone attended the camp for the first time at age 13, and loved it. She stays there only for the summer, and came to terms with what she was after only a few days at camp.

Likes/Dislikes:

She likes hanging out with friends, any form of artwork (Written, performing, or visual), teaching others her 'native' language, drawing, showing off, physical activity and competitions, and hot summer days in the pool.

She dislikes being called weird or being made fun of, losing her temper, fighting with words, being made a fool of, when people show off terrible work, idiots, and the fact that if she's interested in any boy at camp, they're technically her cousin.

Powers/Flaws/Gifts:

Though Apollo is typically associated with the sun, Simone takes a particular aptitude to his music and medicine side. She has a beautiful singing voice and natural ability for nearly any instrument, and an instinctual healing ability for herself and others.

Despite the fact that Apollo is associated with prophecy, Simone has no talent in future-seeing. Apollo is also the god of plagues, so Simone might accidentally curse someone or their family with drought (economically or physically), disease or infestation of pests.

She's naturally bright in personality from the sun and light aspects of her birth father.

How I Arrived to Camp/School/Subway:

She was first introduced by the brochure strangely found in the mailbox, and her mother and step-father drove her to the camp.
