Tori frowned at her guard's shadow from under her door. His bulky body probably still standing, like it had been for the past 2 hours, the new guard should arrive in 2 hours to ensure nobody falls asleep. It was her father's way of ensuring she wouldn't run off again, but seeing that her father had stationed guards outside her room door, and had somehow gotten one of her tutors to believe Leon was a demigod who was just made up, and Carter was probably a the nightmare part of her dream. But in a way Tori didn't believe this, the tutor having been very convincing. But in her gut she knew it wasn't a dream, or rather hoped it wasn't. And the fact she had guards outside her door made her think that she probably did sneak out to have this punishment.
Two days ago, Tori had ditched her guards and meet a boy named Leon who claimed to be a monster. And she also meet his friend Carter who wanted to kill her. But she ignored the thought of Carter and thought of how her father seemed to be angered at the idea of her having freedom. Remembering his hazel eyes narrowed in frustration when he said she was sentenced to groundation in her room. If what her tutor says was true and it was all just a dream, why was she grounded?
Sighing she laid on her bed staring out her window and at the balcony and night sky. Her head resting on her Oedipus Rex summary. Her pen laying on the ground and her hands tracing the covers if her bed as she continued thinking. And wishing. And hoping. She wanted to go out. But if it was all a dream then why would she leave? Wouldn't the disappointment hurt more than the mystery?

Leon didn't know what he was doing here. He had found her scent and was thinking about dropping by to see her. He was here as a friend, but judging from her description of her father and the guards, he knew direct approach by the front door wasn't going to cut it. The security may have been heavy, but it was designed for mortal thieves. They meant nothing to them, and he breached them all.
He jumped down from the gate into the backyard, scenting the location of her room. He didn't understand the concept of being grounded by your parent, but he assumed it wasn't something to be enjoyed. Pying her a little visit would cheer the girl up. He sprang, catlike from the edge of the house's walls. It was fairly large, but not large enough to dilude his scent. To be that large, it would have to be the size of a whole recreation center or whatever those large complexions were called. He found himself hanging by a hand from he balcony, letting out a sigh. How exactly did he get himself into this mess again? No matter. He pulled himself up, sitting on the edge of the balcony. He made some noise, enough to attract only her attention. Leon was used toeing silent, and had been up until the current time. "Tori?" He asked her name into the night air, wondering if she had heard him, or if a guard had. He was in a load of trouble if an Ares kid found him.

Tori looked up when she heard something from outside diving to the side of her bed for her textbook. Feeling armed she got up and walked towards whoever called her name. Her hazel eyes narrowing in the darkness. Opening the balcony door slowly do the guard wouldn't hear the squeak but enough to let light from her room stream forward.
Standing there armed with a textbook would've looked stupid. But not as stupid as she felt when she found herself looking straight at Leon. The character in her dream. Frowning and setting down the text book she cocked her head to the side. But decided to ignore the dream, for when she were to wake up she would have to face the disappointment all over again.
But why was her stomach warm as if in joy? Joy? Was joy also part of her dream, was this freedom being offered a cruel way to make her hopeless when she awoke. Not facing Leon she started walking into her room shaking her head and picking up her pen as if trying to think of what this dream could possibly be about. Picking up her summary shr looked down at it. Surely it wasn't about her homework?
Leon. The name cept her mind occupied as she turned around to see if he was still there. She hit her lip. If this was a dream, why not just enjoy it? She wondered hoping he hadn't left yet. Or dissolved. Or whatever it was dreams did to the people in them.

Leon waited for a moment, knowing that this wasn't the smartest idea. He glued himself there and decided that he was going to see it through. A brave act was to be rewarded after a while, or so they said. There was a small click of the balcony doorknob turning and he tensed. If it was a guard, it was time to run. A head of beautiful blonde hair poked out from behind the door. So cautious. The Arcane incident must have alarmed her, but then again, he had intruded and made it to her balcony. It was something to be surprised about, a person just sitting there in your backyard like it was nothing two stories off the ground.
Leon smiled at Tori, wondering what she was thinking right now. Suddenly, she was gone, back into her room away from the door. He raised his eyebrows in expectancy, wondering what she was doing. He decided to stay out and wait. When she had returned, the textbook (which had been so threatening) was gone. This time, he spoke, and his voice was full of amusement. "What's with you? Am I a ghost or something?"

Tori was silent. Studying him. Whispering softly and listening for any sounds from the guards. "No you are but a ghost. But you must be part of a dream..." she told him. Her hazel eyes thoughtful. The idea that it had all been a dream had been practically forced into her accepting it. And now she nearly believed it. Nearly. Since Leon still stood there and her insides felt like they were vibrating making her wonder if an earthquake was occurring.

Leon didn't like the way she was looking at him. Her hazel eyes were still as mesmerizing as before, but the expression coming from them was one of the unfamiliar region. "Dream?" He repeated her words curiously. What the heck? So he had gone through all of that to prove he was her friend and he ended up being just a dream? He had to admit that it stung at his feelings. He recoiled slightly, nearly tipping off the balcony. He tightened his grip on the bar, more cautious now.
Leon cleared his throat, not knowing what else to say. He shifted, "I'm certainly not a dream. At least that much I'm sure of. Good and solid." He tapped on his arm and there was a hollow metallic sound. But his skin still looked and felt soft, contradicting the tone. "Well, if I'm a dream, then I'm a dream, I guess."

Tori studied him. Recoiling at the metallic sound. No she knew this must be a dream. But she didn't she could feel it suddently seem very real. But it was a dream, was it not? But why was she still stuck in her room? Why was she so confused if this was a dream surely she would be...free.
But if this was a dream Leon would be offended would he not? If this was a dream he could attack. But why was she stepping forward if he could attack? Why did her hazel eyes widen when he nearly fell off her balcony?
"I'm sorry...I didn't mean to offend you in any form..." she said cautiously. Her head tilted to the side. Her hair still moist, the tips wet from her shower about half an hour ago to get her thoughts off of Oedipus and his wife and mother Jocasta, Oedipus Rex was a mesed up story. But her plan had worked and she had stopped thinking about it, but her plan back fired and brought her thoughts back to her 'dream'.

Leon let out a sigh of exasperation, "Honestly, you're too much." He stood up on the balcony, not bothering with the fact that it was dangerous. He took his risks, he always did. Besides, he had catlike balance, it was unlikely that he would fall. "So, you really think this is a dream? If I fell right now and died, you would wake up, right?" He smiled, his gray eyes lighting in amusement.
Before she could reply, he jumped backwards in a flip into open empty air. He caught the bottom edge of the balcony at the last moment, hiding under the platform and finding a foothold on the wall. If she looked down, she wouldn't see him. Leon would be waiting for that moment. His personality was a playful one, and he planned on pooping out and scaring her as a prank.

(sorry in late comp crashed -.- sending it to the states -.-)
Tori screamed when he jumped off. Her heart beat stopping. Of this was a dream he had to live... Running to the balcony she looked down the guards knocking on the locked door "Ms. Sullivan! Is everything fine?!" they called in not wanting to rush in and upset her.
She didn't respond searching frantically for Leon's outline on the ground. Voice shaking she said "Sorry...I thought I saw a bat..."

Leon tried his best not to laugh at her reaction because the guards had come rushing in. He held his breath, waiting for them to settle down. It puzzled him as to why Tori had been so scared for him, but he immediately dismissed the thought. He popped back out from under the balcony, arms aching as he hung on. He poked his head out under hers as she looked over. "Boo!"
Leon laughed, almost letting go and falling for real this time. He smiled playfully, hanging onto the bottom ledge. "Wow, I really got you there. Usually, if you screamed like that, you would be awake, right?"

Tori jumped at his voice her hazel eyes widening as she rushed over. "Your not dead!" she said shocked. Then again he wouldn't be if this was a dream. Because only nightmares end badly...
But he made a valid point...if this was a dream why did she feel her insides go cold? Why did her heart stop? Normally dreams aren't soo...realistic.
But seeing him alive also made her mad. Did she get worried over nothing. Flicking around she walked into her room clearly now getting over the fact he was alive and not appreciating his attempt of humor.

Leon swung, letting go and grabbing a higher grip on the balcony bar. He found that he had misjudged, slipping until he almost let go. He swallowed hard, gripping onto the bar. He pulled himself up, leaping over the bar of the balcony. He landed, surprised to find that she had turned away.
"Hey...Wait!" Leon realized that she must have been ticked off by his little stunt. "Yo, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have..." He watched her flowing blonde hair disappear behind the door. He knew better than to follow her in. The bedroom was like a girl's rpivate sanction. So he waited outside, wondering if she would come back out.

Eyes narrowing she swung around to face him. Hazel orbs looking rather annoyed "That wasn't funny," she snapped at him opening the door and stepping outside with crossed arms.
Though she didn't appreciate his stunt, she had to be glad she wasn't alone in this horrible sentence to her room over what may or may not have been a dream.

Leon gave her a small smile, trying not to laugh again. He raised his hands in mock surrender. "Okay! It wasn't funny...maybe a little from my point of view, but it wasn't." His expression turned serious and his smoky gray eyes stared into her hazel ones. "Sorry, I promise I won't do something like that again."
"Well, your nanny-sorry-um, that daughter of Apollo wanted to see me again, so here I am. I thought walking right through the front door wouldn't be a good idea. But anyway, thanks to her, I'm all better. I'm not dead or intoxicated or anything. Good as new." Leon winked playfully at the daughter of Aphrodite.

Tori sighed. Smiling slightly. Honestly she was glad he wasn't dead. Though his trick annoyed her as well as scared her she was glad never the less. "She knows your fine, she gets glimpses," she informed Leon. Tori though not believing in monsters believed in demi-gods. Which made sense since she was a demigod. Though she felt mortal since she had no special powers like Kyria.
