Horses with wings. Simply magnificent creatures they were. Even their name had a certain charm. Pegasus. Ellyse smiled as she headed towards the stables. She loved the pegasi. They were just so..so..She didn't know exactly what but, they were something special. There were little in life that made her smile anymore. These horses were on of the special few that did. The stables were almost right in front of her. With a small smile she pushed open the door. Once the horses and pegasi saw her there was a chorus of voices in side her head.
Hello, my lady. Hello. haha what a joke, greetings<3 Matt. Hey. What's up? Hello, Lady Ellyse! I laughed slightly and responded with my British accent, "Hello then, I didn't expect to have to talk to twenty hundred horses a t once!" I heard a few nickers that I assumed was a few horses laughing. I went to my favorite pegasus of them all. She was a palomino with a dark gold coat and a cream colored mane. Her wings were thick with golden feathers. Her eyes were like liquefied pools of amber. Her name was Asmara. Asmara was probably the most beautiful creature she had ever seen.
Ellyse walked up to her stall and held out her hand, palm up. On it was resting a sugar cube. Asmara shook her mane with glee and eagerly took it from her. Ellyse giggles as her lips tickled her palm. Thank you, Lady Ellyse, Asmara spoke inside her head. "Why, you're very welcome." A person who didn't know her might think that's she's crazy talking to the horses and all. It was really just one of the powers that comes with being a child of Poseidon.
Ellyse rubbed Asmara's nose as she munched on the sugar cube. Do you have any more? She asked Ellyse. She chuckled and shook her head, "Hungry are we? Weren't you just fed?" Asmara hung her head in mock shame. Ellyse just laughed more. It was a pleasant sound not often heard from her. Ellyse had a tough past that had changed her completely. As mentioned before, only a few things made her smile. When around people she may appear cold and closed off on the outside, on the inside she was just afraid of trusting the wrong people and getting herself hurt.

(lol I love my little things there where I censored the word H.I. XD)
Matthew that day was feeling...loving. See the son of Dionysus was the kind of guy to play more or the same amount of jokes on people as the Hermes cabin on a good day. The Hermes cabin loved him, sure they didn't appreciate him bleaching their cabin purple with wine, but they found it humorous and laughed about it.
Today though, Matthew wasn't playing pranks, he was more racing around the camp chasing the clouds. Than throwing grape seeds at the ground spreading grape juice to the camp out of sarcastic compassion. Matthew grinned. Dirty blonde hair messy as the wind slapped it in different directions, his green eyes bright as he rose higher in the air above the stables. Then started to swop downwards. The white Pegasus gleaming in the sun light a pearly shade.
Matthew noticed the stable doors open letting the sounds of the pegasi reach his ears. Leaning in he whispered to the pegasi "Even though I can't understand you. I know you understand me. And I think we should speed around inside to mess with the person inside" he told the white Pegasus that nodded.
Swooping in the Pegasus flew in circles around its high roof. Matthew catching sight of the girl. Poseidon cabin leader, he recognized her from cabin leader meetings. Matthew had lived here for around 10/11 years but never really spoke to her. Not that he disliked her. It's just Matt was part of the Terry, Kat, and Matt trio. The three being here from very young ages and practically growing up like siblings...except Kat and Terry are more of a couple. Still his best friends, but there was a obvious attraction.
Grinning he called down "GOOODDDDD AAFFFTTTTEEERRRNNNOOON!!!" he sang brightly speeding around indoors before coming to a dramatic halt. Jumping off. Hair a mess. Shirt was a bright obnoxious neon green, his jeans black worn out evident. The Aphrodite cabin was strangely fond of him, mostly because he'd been here for so long he had to gain traits from every cabin to be somewhat normal. But you can't really blame him. He arrived as a crying six year old little boy.

(Bahahahahah -toobusylaughingtocareaboutlatness-)
Ellyse was in the middle of humming a song to Asmara when he yelled. I literally lept about three feet in the air. "OH MY GODS!" I shouted in surprise, my British accent making is seem to be more emphasized . I whipped around to see a guy in black jeans and a bright green shirt. I took a look at his messed up blonde hair and recognized him as the Dionysus cabin leader. I raised a brow, the one that wasn't covered in bangs. She decided he deserved a little pay back. She gave him a smirk.
Ellyse felt a small tug in her gut as she made the water rise out of the bucket behind him. She kept her eyes on him as she made it creep forward. Once it was right behind him she shot it at him hoping to drench him. The white pegasus spoke in her mind Nice. She chuckled and told him, "I know." Then she remembered that he probably didn't know she could talk to horses and that she probably sounded crazy. She dropped her ocean eyes from his and looked at the floor. She brushed her bangs off to the side again as they covered her right eye again. She shuffled her feet awkwardly on the floor not knowing what to do.
Asmara Gently nudged her with her nose making her take a step forward. Asmara knew that she was scared. Even though she was a pegasus, Ellyse had told her everything. Say hello, She spoke softly in her mind. Ellyse turned her blue gaze on her and nodded once. "Alright," She whispered softly. She Looked back at the son of Dionysus who's name she couldn't remember.
"Hello," She began in her British voice, "I'm Ellyse, daughter of Poseidon." She looked away again as she said this. She was nervous on the inside. It was hard to tell what kind of a person was a t first. What if he was a complete and utter snob or worse? She gave an inward shudder at the thought. She had met only too many in her life. She looked at the white pegasus that he had been riding. Another beautiful animal. The coat was a perfect pearl white. Her long dark brown hair was perfectly straight though, it was a bit poofy. She looked back at Asmara, she couldn't think of what else to do.
(Sorry, I have almost no muse)

(lol try saying I'm weird xD haha)
Matt grinned when she screamed teasing her "Afraid of flying sons of Dionysus now?" he laughed raising his hands up in the air in fake defeat. He enjoyed people who could take jokes. The strangers smirk making it obvious she wasn't truly afraid of him. Despite the fact she jumped high enough in the air he figured she was easy to scare.
The suddenly he felt water pour on him drenching him. His laugh bursting outwards as he stated at her in shock "Playing with water? Well at least today is a nice day" he said pulling out a grape and tossing it at her as it turned into grape juice to splash her face. The pegasi would be on her side naturally so he teased the white pegasus too "Traitor! I thought we were friends!" he couldn't understand them but he knew they understood him. Which was enough to keep him talking. His green eyes bright and just reflecting his joy and amusement. He didn't mind being the victims of jokes. It was for fun do he didn't take it to his heart.
Matt grinned at Ellyse noticing her accent "A foreign demigod? How did I miss you?" he asked smiling at her brightly. He loved meeting new people. And she was new to him, not new to camp. And the fact she was British, or so it seemed, made her new to him. He looked joking. Dirty blonde hair drenched wet, his obnoxious shirt seemed darker stuck to his muscular body. Brushing his hand through his hair he shook some water out.
Laughing he replied "I'm the wet puppy. Matt Erikson" wet puppy. Laughing he whistled slightly. A dog coming in full speed towards the stables, the pegasi fond of the dog since it was nice to them. He loved his dog Patriot, and Patriot loved strangers. Tackling them and licking their faces wet. Which would be a nice gesture.

(Fine xD)
Ellyse narrowed her eyes at the first question, "No," she scoffed. She rolled her eyes. Despite her trying to stay unemotional on the outside he had cracked her shell, she could help but to laugh a little. She had to hold back a fit of giggles as the water pour over him. She gave him another smirk. "Yes, yes I am," she said proudly. Her British accent always made things sound proper, she hated it. She laughed as he talked to the pegasus but, not for what he said but, for what the pegasus told her. He obviously thinks a lot of things.
"He said that you obviously think a lot of things!" She told him between laughs. The white pegasus shot her a dirty look. Her blue eyes sparkled with amusement for the first time in a while. Her smile and laugh were truly genuine. Until he commented on her being a foreigner. Her smile fell and her eyes turned darker. That comment brought back memories that she didn't want to think of. "Yes, and I don't know," she replied carefully. She had put up her guards again and her face became emotionless once more. Except for the pain that lingered just barely in her eyes.
She forced a smile as he introduced himself but, she couldn't keep it up for long and it faded away. She heard a voice in her head, it was Asmara. Don't think about. Matthew is weird after all, he probably din't even mean it. Ellyse nodded accepting the fact but, what he said reminded her why so was so closed off, why she shouldn't trust too quickly. She gave a small grin as the dog appeared. "Is he yours?" She asked in what she tried to make curious tone.

Matthew laughed shaking his head at her. "Well its good to know at least now I'm hydrated," he said still shaking his head and sending a few drops of water scattered around from his hair. The son of Dionysus was finding being wet was pretty good, considering it was a hot day... Though he wasn't too fond of the feel of wet shirt against your skin. It was a bit uncomfortable. But he'd survive. Since taking off his shirt in front of a stranger would be odd, and wouldn't really leave a good first impression.
The white Pegasus' comment making him laugh "Yes, I do think alot of things. I'm quite ADHD you know..." he said grinning at the creature. "It just came to mind... You guys look parched..." he said with a innocent smile, his eyes glimmering with mischief as suddenly grape vines shot upwards spraying grape juice all over the place. Matt had lived soo long next to his father, and was honestly capable with his powers before, that he was quite skilled. He could easily use his powers, not that he showed them off much for anything but messing around and having fun. Sure they helped him fight, but he's been training since the age of 6, so powers weren't his primary attack, even if controlling vines was helpful sword was easier.
Matthew felt bad when he saw her change in expression "I'm sorry I didn't mean to..." he said rubbing the back of his neck uncomfortably. Then grinned as Patriot ran up "Yeah. She's mine. My mom's Christmas present to me this year," he told her with a smile as he petted her head. "You can pet her if you'd like," he told her unsure if she was even a dog person. Patriot wagging her tail happily as she pawed the stranger, Ellyse.

(Nothing happened..xD)
Her mind was reeling through old memories once again and she barely processed what he had said. In fact she didn't even make out what he said. Asmara being the intelligent animal she is told her gently in her mind. Ellyse's eyes had misted over as she had relived her scarred life, they cleared as she was back to the present. "Hm...Yeah," she responded after that long pause. She smirked but, nothing more. She jumped slightly as water droplets hit her but, they just rolled off leaving her dry.
She smirked again as he spoke to the pegasus. "Yeah, don't we a-" she broke off as he started to speak again. She knew he was going to do something. She immediately took a big step back. She let a gasp as the grape juice hit her. She may be able to avoid getting wet with water but, grape juice was a different matter entirely. She shot him a playful glare. She looked at the pegasi who hadn't escaped the juice either. The white one was letting off a string of curses in her mind and complained haw he would be stained for weeks. She pulled an amused smile at the pegasus's reaction. "Hey now, no need for that language. I'll clean you up later though, I think your mouth needs the soap the most." The pegasus glared at her. Can horses glare? She didn't know but, if they couldn't then that look was pretty close to one.
She gave a small, thin smile at his apology. "It's not your fault, just memories."Yep. Just memories. Memories that can scar you forever. She wasn't about to tell some person she just met all of her secrets so she just brushed over it as lightly as possible. She looked down at herself and groaned. Her vibrant orange camp half-blood t-shirt was completely ruined. There were huge stains everywhere, it was even dripping at the hem. Her short were now purple denim, and even her legs hadn't survived. They were all purple and sticky.
She smiled as the dog came up to her. "Well, she's a really pretty Christmas present," She said as she bent down to pet her on the head. She smiled playfully then let out a fake little 'woof'. She smiled again and scratched behind her ears. Asmara nickered softly behind her. I'm still here, you know. She retorted. Ellyse let out a snort and turned back to her. Her mane was all purple and was probably all sticky too. "Jealous little horsey, you get enough of my attention."

Matthew watched the water droplets hit her. Making a mental note that she was water proof. Then a question hit him "So do you drink water? Or does it roll off your tongue?" he asked her curiously wondering how her powers worked. His powers didn't do such.
As son of Dionysus, probably the most skilled in this generation, he could turn into a leopard, and turn things into dolphins. He couldn't get drunk if that helped him, which he doubted it would. And he could control vines, grapes, and grape juice/wine. It was a pretty good handful of powers. But seeing the children of the big three use their powers was far more interesting than watching a vine grow and feed him grapes.
Laughed he glanced at the Pegasus. I guess it made sense he could curse, Matt never really thought about it, then again he never really thought of pegasi, period. Maybe because he was more focused on other things in life. Like learning from the new campers. As a little boy he was raised by all the old cabin leaders, Chiron, and his father. Making him quite a talented child. But it also have him a wide variety of things to learn, pegasi flying being something that he learned to do in a week and then lost interest. Unless it was a day like this one when he decided to have fun... Or rather have fun with flying horses, since everyday was a day he wanted to have fun.
Matt nodded "Memories...everybody has their fair share of those," he said grinning "Fortunately, mine aren't too bad. I've lived here with my dad since my sixth birthday," he told her with a shrug thinking back at how calm and normal life was with just his mother. The two used to cook, make grape jam together, dance, sing, it was all fun. And now limited. Matt still being very fond of his mother.
Matt watched her survey herself and he laughed "Terry had the same reaction when I bleached the Hermes cabin purple," he told her gesturing to the purple cabin where some children of Hermes were trying to paint over from a couple days ago. Matt having caused the inside to turn inside to which is where their focus had gone. Terry had tried to get him to clean up the mess, and Matt would. Eventually. He just loved hearing the Aphrodite cabin laugh at the purple troopers flying into the Mess Hall with their winged shoes and shooting glares at the Dionysus table. His siblings laughing about it. In fact they even threw a party. Which was quite common for the active cabin.
Patriot barked slightly trying to lick the strangers face. Matt laughed "Yup, she's a real sweet heart," he told her grinning. His eyes then fell on the Pegasus. Who according to Ellesy's comment was jealous and he laughed. Ah well I guess it makes sense...humans get jealous too so why can't pegasi... He thought.

Ellyse raised an eyebrow at his question, was he serious? Apparently so. "No," she drawled on in a sarcastic tone which sounded weird with her accent, "It just falls out of my mouth and I stay undehydrated forever." She rolled her eyes then answered thoughtfully. "Yeah, I can drink water, I may be a daughter of Poseidon but, I can still become dehydrated. It's more like I draw power from it, it's as if I can feel it soaking into my body and give me an extra little boost that you just can't get from coffee."
Truth is was that she had never really thought about it much. She remembered one time when she had gone two days without drinking any water. It had been horrible, she had felt weak and frail for another two days when she had to drink twice the amount of water to get better. Those.four days had been utter rubbish. Ellyse guessed that she was pretty dependent on water if she expected to live. Thank the gods she could draw water to her from nearly anywhere, even if it was just mist. Speaking of water her throat was feeling rather parched.
She raised her eyebrow as the white pegasus spoke in her mind again. "How in the bloody hell do you know those words?" She inquired with a surprised look. Yes, she had cussed lightly while talking to him but, trust me, it was nothing compared to what was coming from that horse's mind. He spoke in her mind once more. To recognize the words you would have to know them. She shot a small glare at him and mumbled a grudging "Touché." she couldn't keep up her act any longer and a small grin lit up her features.
She froze as he talked about memories and how his we're good. "Well good for you," she said bitterly, her accent made it seem even worse. So he had the perfect life, huh? Bet it was all lolly pops and rainbows or whatever it was for guys. Her eyes turned cold and dark. She didn't even realize it but, a haze of mist was starting to form around her. It happened whenever she was angery or sad. She looked glumly at the ground as she thought about her mother. She could still feel the slaps and bruises, every punch and kick.
She went on like this for a little while. Flash backs reeled inside her head. One after another. Every brutal word her mother and stepfather said to her jumped out at her. She jumped and snapped out of it when she felt something nudge her back. She looked behind her to see that it was just Asmara. She spoke gently in her mind. Ellyse, I know you're think of your past right now. Don't. Matt doesn't know about your past. He probably wouldn't have even brought it up if he knew. Well, I don't know but, that's just me and they say horse's are pretty intelligent. It was those words that really snapped her out of her trance. "Sorry," she mumbled to both of them.
She looked at Matt with mock horror as he told her what he did the Hermes cabin. She didn't know what she would do if he did that to her cabin. On second thought, maybe she did. "Do that to my cabin and I promise you will find your cabin flossed out and all your things soaking wet." Not to mention a couple crabs in his bed when he went to sleep but, she didn't add that. She gave him a dazzling smile but, it was a 'you better not even think of doing it' smile.
Ellyse let out a small giggle as the dog licked her nose. She pretended to tag and said, "Oh doggy breath." There was a smile on her face as she spoke. She loved animals, she couldn't help but melt into a little puddle when she was near them. You could obviously see that's what was happening that very moment. She ruffled the dog's ears then looked up at Matt. "What's her name?" she asked him curiously. She looked back at his dog again and smiled. She really was a sweetheart. (Took forever on the iPod. Well cheers for my longest post xD)

Matthew nodded at her reply, ignoring the sarcasm "So do you decide when the water makes you wet?" he asked green eyes studying her with interest. Seeing that he typically didn't talk much to the children of Poseidon. Which was strange because he talked to the children of the other two gods. Hades, and Zeus. Making some friends from every cabin. And well now he could finally add Poseidon to the collection of cabins he knew people in.
Matthew watched her speak to the horse zoning out a bit. Considering the fact he couldn't speak horse and frantically doubted he could learn. His thoughts on how thirsty he was getting. Which was odd since he drank water and grape juice not too long ago... His ADHD playing a part on his drifting mind. Blinking he shook his head to focus back on the girl.
Matthew Erikson watched her calmly recall her memories darkly. His green eyes watching the dark mist, her powers doing their own thing due to her mood. The son of Dionysus had seen his fair share of troubled demigods here in camp, some change, others left, others died, and some are still the same. But he never did anything in these situations. Sure if it got out of hand he could make someone dizzily drunk without having sipped wine, but that was not the best idea. Since everybody reacts differently to alcohol, some black out and are violent, others sleep, everybody did their own thing...well except the children of Dionysus. They didn't do anything really...
Being a curious person the blonde boy was tempted to ask her about life outside camp, seeing that Matt had only lived there for 6 years. 4 of which he was a baby/toddler and can't remember much of. The next two years being years he faintly remembers but recalls being great. Matt was fortunate, lucky, he lived, survived, and will probably grow old. He was strong, funny, clever, he'd eventually leave camp and start a life of his own. Eventually. Unless something happened and he died...which was unlikely. Then again the gods were a bit random... Though Matt didn't worry about his father doing anything. Since his father practically raised him and though he didn't publicly show it was fond of the son he had to raise himself and watch change throughout the years. Everybody was fond of Matt, sure he was a bit troublesome at times, but that was cause Matt couldn't be a innocent little boy at all times.
When she mumbled her apologies Matt nodded "It's all fine. The children of the Big Three typically have worse situations," she told her honestly "And plus their was practically no time for me to really get any memories of life outside here. I've lived here since the day I turned six," he told her with a grin. It wasn't bad, he liked it, sure it became boring at times, but only when everybody was gone outside camp for vacationing and he had to stay because he rarely got to see his mom outside a iris message or small pictures she sent him on his birthday or during Christmas. His dad, Dionysus, said it was better that way, kept her from being targeted as bait.
Matt laughed "No I don't like repeating a joke within the same season," he told her. He's lived here 10 years and still hasn't repeated a joke, mostly because he gets other cabins to help him so they end up quite random. And then there was the whole Matt didn't always pull pranks, he left that to the Hermes cabin, but he did at times and usually on the Hermes cabin which was probably the most light hearted cabin, it's leader being his best friend from the day the little boy Terry arrived at camp.
"Her name is Patriot," he told Ellyse smiling fondly at the dog. The loyal pup was clearly a people puppy, loving everyone even if they were strangers. Obviously not a watchdog, but she did make a great guard dog, being protective of Matt and the children of Dionysus as well as some of Matt's friend's she encountered nearly everyday.
(sorry took me soo long. Been kinda lazy xD)

(Erm....Very late reply....don't kill me) Ellyse looked up as he spoke. "Yeah, I can," There was a hint of pride in her British voice. Even though life was tough and truthfully very messed up she prided herself in the little things she could do. To demonstrate her point she willed the wet patch on the ground to become dry, well she made the water collect into a small ball which left the ground dry. She willed it to not get anything wet and transformed it. It was now the exact replica of a snake only water and see-through.
The snake crawled up until it rested on her shoulder. It was cool to the touch but not unpleasant. She smiled as the clear snake circled down her arm and came to a rest on her palm. She made the snake coil and uncoil. She even had slip trough her fingers. For a second she almost lost her concentration when a horse neighed loudly and for a second the snake was wobbly and dripping. She quickly collected it again. The small thing did as she directed, nothing more, nothing less.
She made wings form on the small snake's back. She morphed it until it resembled a water monarch butterfly. It's wings flapped hopefully and it rose a few inches and fluttered above her palm. The cool strokes of the water wings brushed her hand from time to time. With great concentration she willed it higher and had it fly over to Matt. The butterfly circled his head a few times then she morphed it into a hummingbird. Ellyse smiled at her handiwork. The bird swooped on it's wings, well her will but whatever, No noise came from the long beak seeing as it was only water.
She willed it to come back to her the cool wings stirred the air as they beat fast, well it was a hummingbird. It swooped once more and came to rest on her shoulder. There it turned into a small dog. It opened it's mouth to imitate barking even though nothing came out. It wagged it's tail and jumped around much as an excited puppy would. She smiled at the thing. It's tail whipped back and forth. It slowly transformed again, this time into a dragon. It stood proudly and strutted around her shoulder. Ellyse repressed a laugh at the sight.
The small beast opened it's maw and instead of fire coming out water did. You could see the small bubbles from inside the body were she willed the water to come from. The water resembled flames as it came out. It was also boiling hot. A small smirk played across her lips. She willed more water from the tap to join the dragon and it grew bigger. It kept on growing until it was the size of a small cat. By then She willed it on the ground. Water wasn't exactly light.
Ellyse turned to Matt as he spoke. "Too true," she muttered darkly. She felt sympathy for him. "I'm sorry," She muttered truthfully. The small water dragon stretched it's wings then strutted over to Matt. It opened it's maw to snap playfully at him. Sharp teeth were revealed. They wouldn't cause any damage though, it was just water. It shot out a string of fire water stuff at him but it evaporated before anything would hit him. "Even though, if something happens to my cabin I'm blaming you."
Ellyse turned her attention to the dog again. She willed the dragon to copy her actions, it was too much work to thing of multiple things at once. Truthfully the dragon did have a bit of it's own mind. She just created it and could make it a big puddle just as easily. It would only be like that is she was near. "Patriot, a nice name for a nice dog." Ellyse smiled and reached out to pet her. The dragon huffed and stalked away. It went by Matt, snapped at him, then lay down. All the while Ellyse was trying to hide her smirk

(I wont I can't really get on anyways...I'm sorta grounded but Lauren threw her ipod at me and gave me some time which is why it's sooo short sorry) Matt smirked at the amount of pride he detected in her voice, his green eyes reflecting the amusement he felt within. The son of Dionysus was also one to be proud, and he found it amusing how animated her powers were. They didn't seem to really need her to act. Then again maybe she was a skillfull puppet master? He wouldn't know though.
But he also gave her props for imagination. You couldn't really come up with the idea of forming the water into different animals on your own. It took creativity, one of the many skills Matt possessed but in limited amounts. Mostly in amounts that centralized a good joke. Seeing as that Matt was light hearted and playful.
Watched the now dragon water he studied it's glossy surface, Patriot, his beautiful hound snappin at the creature and sticking it's tongue out as if ready to lap up the water. The dog didn't seem to be thirsty, but rather want to get rid of the other creature, the slight jealousy making it hard for Matt to surpress a laugh.
"So you're like a waterbender from Avatar!" he said with a grin. He loved that show, it was not only great and funny. But a great pass time. Though honestly he wasn't a huge fan of the sequel Legend of Korra, but who could blame him? Matt was a lover of the classics. No doubt about it.
Watching the dragon snap at him Matt grinned. "Seems like you have powers that think by themselves, my powers are more...limited," he told her with a grin. His powers didn't stretch as far as hers. His involving morphing his own form, turning others and other things into dolphins. Controling vines, grapes, wine, and juice. And well...making you feel drunk without having your tongue touch liquor. A interesting ability that was quite useless.
The grin though quickly brushed off with a genuine smile "No. Don't fret, I don't feel bad about livng around here. I pick up alot from my dad, so I guess I'm lucky," he told her shrugging. "Unless something does happe to your cabin when it's not my fault...cause then you'll be blaming me," he said with a slightly mocking laugh.
Nodding he smiled "Yup. Loyal to the last hair," he told her patting the dog's head before the dog padded up to Ellyse pressing it's head against her hand and welcoming a nice scratch behind her furry ears.
