Don't try to kid yourself, it won't work. How do I know? I've tried to before. That sweet moment of bliss can go away just as fast as it came. When they smile and tell you everything is okay. Don't believe a word of it. They say it will be fun, that is will be good for you. They don't know a thing. You may look at me and thin, what does she know? I'll just tell you one thing. Look back on your life. Someone has said that at least once to you. Now look where you are or think about what happened. Now, if you're anything like me you will understand from the beginning. If your like me then your life is far from perfect, far from ordinary, far from peaceful. If you're like me then you should fear for your life. If you're like me then you're not completely human.
Ellyse gave a small sigh as she closed the notebook. It was originally a plain blue but, she had covered it with sketches and words. Her name was in bold letters on the front. People knew to keep out. It wasn't rally a diary as much as little stories. Well, not even that. Just short little passages that were kind of personal...Fine call it a diary if you want. She gave a sad smile as she went through the words she had written in her mind. She clipped the mechanical pencil that she was using on the front cover of her notebook. She was currently sitting on the ground with her back against a tree where she had a view of the lake off in the near distance. She brushed her bangs out of her eyes and continued to stare at the water. She thought she could see a couple canoes out in the water. She smiled, Ellyse loved canoing. Well, she was a daughter of Poseidon after all.
A light summer breeze streamed trough the camp, upon its winds it carried the sweet scent of ripening strawberries. She smiled at scent, she loved strawberries, they were one of her favorite foods. The smile faded a bit as she looked down at her notebook again. She flipped back to the page she had just written and tried to think of a tittle. She drummed her fingers on the page as she brainstormed. An idea finally floated to the top of her mind. Nothing Lasts Forever. she gave herself a mental pat on the back and wrote it down. Her handwriting was surprisingly elegant. She looked down to reread the passage but stopped soon as she started to get a headache. Stupid dyslexia. Her ocean blue eyes scanned the front cover as she closed the notebook. She smiled at the pegasus she had drawn on there. It was a rubbish drawing, really.
The tree was surprisingly comfortable and offered a nice spot of shade. Her bright orange camp shirt seemed to almost glow as it stood out in the shadows. Her long dark brown hair had a healthy shine to it. Her face was free of make up, a fact that she was proud of. She didn't believe in covering her face in powder or lining her eyes with a pencil. The only thing she ever used was strawberry chap stick. She was beautiful and she didn't even know it. The only real flaw was her left wrist. Two thin, white scars were there. Every time she saw them it brought back bad memories. She had been at this camp for two years and was constantly reminded when people asked her how she got them. She only rarely told the truth. With all this on her mind she didn't even notice anybody coming towards her until she heard the scuff of shoes on the ground. She looked up to see who it was.

Her name. Silver. Just Silver, you call her Hayden and I promise you, you will be more charged than the Enegizer bunny . Status. A living nightmare. Apperance. Long sunshine blonde hair, slicked back. Electrifying blue eyes that strike enough fear alone but to line them with a slight amount of black eyeliner and make them stand out ever further just adds to the warning that she's not one to be messed with. Her face beautiful as it was, showed no emotion except dislike towards this camp. Silver hated everything after all. And for a reason too. Because she had to endure all the ways it could cause pain. A nice little curse shes had and that killed her best friend, savior, and one and only true love. The memory of seeing her own blade kill him makes her insides twist in pain. But she never showed it. Infact asking will cause you a serious trip to the infirmary under paralysis. And with Lauren the best healer dead you could be in there for a while.
Black leather jacket, black shorts, white tank top, black converse. A simple outfit. Not threatening alone. But with Silver completely intimidating. And even she knew it. Every time she turned demigods revolved away from her, knowing that the slightest sign of stupidity will cause a nasty shock. The daughter of Zeus having created such a fearsome reputation of herself within her first few days. And she hadn't lived it down yet. Infact she's been building it up, it seems like everytime she gets into a fight her powers are more enhanced than before. But she hadn't been in one lately. Silene had been keeping that under control. Since Silver hated Nick Salvador and Zeke Winters more than anybody else, both of which as demigod children under Silene's control.
Silver glared at the sky. It was too nice of a day. And she was tempted to make thunder clouds roll in and send down a couple lightning bolts. She was tempted to shot down those stupid little birds singing in the sky. Her mood wasn't particularly foul, she was in fact feeling kinder today than she's been feeling all week. Which is why the sky is still blue and the birds flying.
The air around her was cracking with intensity. It always was. She was packed with bolts. Always sparked up. Maybe that's another reason people feared her. She was strong. No doubt in that. Out of all demigods in the camp if asked who was the strongest most would say Silver. Mostly from experience. The daughter of Zeus was skilled in combat, it's what she trained in with her beloved son of Hecate prior to his death.
Silver's eyes narrowed. A girl sitting stupidly under a tree. Well truly the girl did nothing stupid, she sat there, writing, which wasn't typically done in free time here. Since training was a must. Then again... Every time was free time. But people had stopped sitting after trees when Silver was nearby. Mostly because if she felt like letting off steam...you'd most likely get hit. Lucky did this camper Silver wasn't angry at the moment. Sure dangerous. But not angry.
Continuing her walk forward she rolled her eyes at the orange shirt. Who doesn't wear that shirt? Honestly Silver turned hers to ashes. Tossing it up in the air and sending bolts both from the ground and from the sky to destroy it. A clear sign she hated the camp and it's attendants. But she still had a high level of respect developed towards her from everybody, as well as Chiron who wasn't too thrilled at the refusal to wear the shirt.
Voice cold. Eyes electrifying and piercing, as is seeing through the girl, she spoke "You know they say it's wiser not to sit under trees. Lightning tends to hit them," she said. Her eyes flashing as if a lightning storm was occurring in them.

"This is the best place to think, isn't it?" Terry's soft voice sounded from behind her. He had made sure to move his shoe over the bristles of grass to make a slight sound announcing his presence. Sometimes, he forgot he was the Hermes cabin leader, and how he moved so silently. He often spoke up first without regards to the fact that the other didn't know he was there. Sometimes, he ended up scaring them and sending them a good three feet straight up off the ground. Sure, it was funny sometimes until he did it at the wrong time, or if it was an Ares kid.... But anyway, she seemed to be thinking, and he hoped he wasn't interrupting her train of thought.
The son of Hermes stretched, turning his gaze upon the wide open field with a sigh. "It's a perfect morning, don't you think? I'm Terry, by the way, son of Hermes." He introduced himself, remembering to be polite. He had been a resident of the camp for as long as he could remember, and he was a year-round camper. He knew too many people here, and hadn't really gotten the chance to meet some of the new arrivals just yet. He had seen this girl around, but had never been told her name, so now was the time to learn it. His eyes fell on her diary, but then quickly moved away. Private things were not to be toyed with. He wasn't a prying person.

(On the iPod. Meh....)
She gave a small smile as she looked up to see a guy standing there. "That it is," she said simply in her British accent. Ellyse didn't let any other emotion cross her face. It wasn't necessarily a cold look, just closed off. She covered her notebook with her hands protectively. She gave a small sigh and looked at him with her piercing eyes. She had seen him around, even in the winter. Ellyse thought he was a Hermes kid but, wasn't sure. He was older than her, that she could tell. She was thinking either seventeen or eighteen.
Ellyse nodded as he introduced himself. She gave herself a mental pat on the back, she was right, he was a son of Hermes. A small smirk played on the corner of her mouth. "Beautiful, yep. It looks just the same as yesterday and the day before that. I'm Ellyse, daughter of Poseidon." She looked down and brushed her bangs out of her eyes again. She hoped that he wouldn't be like the others and ask her all the questions of act as if she was royalty or something. She hated it, she was just the same as everybody else, an innocent child stuck in this messed up world.
She stiffened as his eyes fell on her notebook then realaxed. It was just short passages and stories based on her mood. She looked away as she saw something out of the corner of her eye. A girl was walking towards them. She was blonde and looked to be around her age. The girl looked familiar but, again she could not place a name. She noticed that she wasn't wearing a camp shirt which was odd. She stiffened slightly as she heard her cold voice hit her ears. Ellyse met her gaze with her own. Zeus's kid, she thought suddenly. "Yeah?" she smirked, "Did you know they say that's bad for electricity to be near water?" She gave a small smile to show she was just joking around. She had felt bad when she had shot back her retort.

Silver laughed at Ellyse's reply. Completely ignoring Terry's presence. Since not ignoring it would involve a nasty shock, out of bitterness about not having enough time to send him in a state of paralysis during Capture the Flag. Silver being a dangerous opponent during the game, since was daughter of Zeus. The only child of Zeus in camp currently due to the death of her brother Kayden, leader of the last quest. But she didn't care about Kayden, never meet him do she's ok with it. Sure a bit curious about how he could've been, but if he wasn't strong enough to live, that wasn't her problem...
Silver's eyes started glowing slightly. The sky darkening a slight shade that at first wouldn't be noticeable until you noted the light blue had a hint of gray. "Want to stand in the water and test it out? Water does help Electricity move faster, more effective than when electricity in the air. " she told her. Silver was smart, you can give her that. She always did her research. She studied science with great interest. She was clever and witty, sure she wasn't like the children of Athena, but she was pretty smart and could probably pass as one if you only focused on battle and science, since the other subjects didn't really interest her.
Deciding ignoring Terry wasn't the best her electrifying eyes surveyed him. Calm. Too calm. Good. She didn't need a over excited son of Hermes right now, she hated that, hyper children of Hermes. They never stopped yapping. Sure they were sneaky and could possibly pick pocket her, but the fact that the air around her was always do charged and touching her sent a nasty shock to you they didn't try. And then again she was the girl who can send you into a state of paralysis for joy. So nobody bothered messing with her.
Every cabin had their own reasons, mostly because Silver used science to enhance her powers, she studied, and tested. And trained. She constantly trained. Many won't beable to see, but if you were to walk in her room around midnight a show of lightning would nearly kill you, the bolts charged to create different colors each with their own unique outcomes. Blue, fire. Purple, paralysis. Green, knock out. Yellow/white, shock. Each she had to train with separately to perfect them. Not that her powers were perfect, but they were very well developed, and just seemed to be increasing as she found new elements to mess with. (Bleh sorry it's kinda lazy)

(Lazy? Compared to me it's nowhere near lazy xD)
Ellyse was half tempted to take her up on the challange. The water was her strength. She was still trying to figure out where she had met her before. It suddenly hit her. It was at the cabin leader meetings. She raised a brow at the girl. "It depends on who is controlling the water now doesn't it?" she said in her british voice. She let a small smirk rest on her lips. Ellyse noticed that the air around her seemed staticy. She realized there must be electricity around her. Two could play at that game.
Ellyse felt a small tug in her gut as she summoned her powers. A faint wall of cold mist surrounded her. It was faint in the shadows where the light couldn't reflect off the individual droplets. She felt the cool relief as they protected her from the heat of day as well. If anyone else besides Cascade had tried to touch them they would get wet. Ellyse remained perfectly dry in her misty shield. As long as she was still touching it her note book would remain dry. Ellyse pushed herself off the ground and stood up. She rested her notebook on a branch on the tree carefully.
Sunlight hit her from between the branches of the tree. It also fell upon the droplets that surrounded her. It was more of a light fog really. It was nearly see through but, it wasn't. There was something about this girl that rubbed her the wrong way. She looked at Terry again curiously, she wondered of he and the girl knew each other. They probably did, everybody knew everybody here, except Ellyse apparently. She turned back to the blonde girl again.
"I believe some introduction is in order. I'm Ellyse, daughter of Poseidon. And you are?" She asked in her British accent. It seemed to make everything sound more proper compared to all the Americans. Ellyse leaned her back against the tree as she waited for the girl to reply. She still thought this girl might be a daughter of Zeus. That would probably explain why this girl was starting to get on her nerves. Besides the ocasional raised brow or smirk she didn't allow any other emotion to cross her face. She didn't want to dislike this girl so she was making an attempt to be nice. Sort of.

Silver rolled her eyes at Ellyse. Did she know nothing of the reaction between electricity and water? It was the first thing she studied after she meet Connor, who had encouraged her studying so she could learn weak points in other elements. But electricity break water molecules, making it easier for electricity to move through water, this magnifying Silver's power, since her control was great, but in the water it was better. Silver's voice had a sharp edge "You won't have much fun trying to control water if it's electrocuting you," she told her with a smile. Which in no way was the kind type of smile, but rather the you know nothing and have been defeated smile.
Silver grinned at Ellyse when she summoned the mist. Not worrying. She always had her electric charged air around her, to the Aphrodite cabin's annoyence since she caused their hair to stand on end. Mist didn't bother Silver, but she loved playing the small, excersise your powers game. The sky darkening as thunder clouds crept in. It wasn't a large difference, it just made the sunlight less bright, shadows longer and darker, Silver's eyes stand out more as they started glowing the electrifying blue looked like lightning.
Silver honestly had no opinion on the girl. She didn't like her. But she didn't hate her. Yet. The girl was simply another naive camper who knew nothing. Another person who will learn to stay clear of the daughter of Zeus, especially when her eyes were the electrifying blue they were now. Since stormy gray meant you could at least as a question, but it had to be a smart one in order not to get electrocuted. And the beautiful sky blue eyes were only present when the ghost of Connor was around.
Not that many would know since they stayed clear of her when he was around as well, seeing that his ghost looked alive, not dead. And she nearly brought the sky down on Nick Salvador out of suspicion. Silene Deloria having saved Nick, for now. Silver would deal with the minor gods cabin later. Seeing that she despised most of the kids in there than everybody else in camp, her least favorite campers being Zeke Winters, and Nick Salvador. Sons of Boreas and Thanatos (though everyone believe Nick is son of Nyx not Thanatos).

Ellyse smirked yet again. "Who said I had to be touching the water?" Oh, she could still be in the area where the water was. She knew her powers were powerful enough to do what she had in mind. It would be hard, though and not to mention not happening anytime soon. Her eyes grew bright at the prospect of a challenge. Ellyse looked up at the sky and noticed the thunder clouds rolling in. She smirked again. She saw the girl's eyes. They were bright and they reminded her of lightning. In the distance the previously calm lake was becoming choppy and and the white tips of waves could be seen. Ellyse gave her a dazzling smile. It wasn't a complexly friendly smile, it was a challenging one.
She amped up her mist a bit making it spin faster around her. It was starring to become a bit easier to see. She noticed that she hadn't responded to her introduction yet. She wondered why, maybe it was just her. Ellyse gave a mental shrug and decided to ignore it. Ellyse could hear the shouts of campers in the distance. She figured they were either arguing or playing some sort of game. She rolled her eyes in annoyance, couldn't they keep it down a bit? Apperantly not.
She could tell the tree was starting to get wet from her leaning against it. She could feel the water not the wet. She could also see the bark getting darker. Her ocean blue eyes looked as if they didn't have a bottom as if the color went on forever. Just like the deep part of the ocean. She raised a hand to brush her bangs out of her eye again. She noticed that the sky was getting darker a little bit. Just like the lake was getting a little bit choppier.
(Sorry I was a bit late and short, almost got caught)

Silver raised her eyebrow at the girl "Have you ever studied science?" she asked her. A slight smile in the corner of her lips as lightning shot down hitting the lake and making every wave flash with lightning. It was like a electric wall suddenly shot up above the lake. And when Silver smiled the wall disappeared.
No sign of even trying. It was a simple move. Water made electricity move easier. It helped her. So Silver did a slight demonstration. No effort required. It was too easy. Like breathing. Her powers came to Silver, both out of natural ability and alot of practice. Alot of training. Alot of studying, testing, observing. She was like a scientist.
Silver noticed the mist, smiling slightly. How would that help the daughter of Poseidon? Mist was nothing compared to a fully charge electric current that at touch would make you jump in pain, and by standing nearby would cause your hair to stand on end. Silver's hair never reacted to static, in fact she didn't really react to it at all, she felt it, but it had no effect. Sure a thousand bolts might hurt, but she wouldn't know because it's never happened since she can easily manipulate what ever electricity comes at her, regardless of intensity.
(no problem. But sorry for the shortness. My writing muss is pretty low at the moment D: )

(It's alright. There is lightning outside my window right now xD)
Ellyse sighed audibly, it wasn't one of defeat just.. well she didn't really know. "Not after I ran away two years ago," she admitted softly. "But magic always had away of defying some things." She noticed the lightning on the lake. "Nice." As she spoke she willed the lake to start swirling at a random point close to shore. The water swirled faster and faster until there was a whirl pool. She continued this until the water was pushed back enough from that on point do there was the bottom of the lake showing. She would have been in the water yet not. She kept op the whirlpool for a bit longer then let it slowly go back to normal.
Ellyse would have been weaker if she had done it as fast as she would have needed. Her eyes were brighter like they always were when she used her powers. She looked at the girl with a piercing gaze. Who was she? The question was nagging her again. Ellyse had introduced herself do why not this girl? She had also taken in mind what she said about the lightning and water. That's why she had the mist around her body yet, not touching it. She made the mist thicker until it was almost a thin sheet of water. Just in case. She smirked.
"I don't believe you ever gave your name," Ellyse hinted softly. She could tell they were two pretty powerful half-boods then again weren't they all? Ellyse heard a soft thump by her feet. She looked in horror as she saw her notebook get wet. All of her writting, ruined. She quickly grabbed the blue, soggy notebook before things could get worse. The mement she touched it it became dry but, it would go back to its previous state once she let go.
She gave a sharp intake of breath as she opened it. The words were still perfect but, that's only because she opened it. Forgetting about the girl for a minute she sank to the ground. Some may think she was overreacting but, she had written her soul into that notebook. It was expressed through short stories, poems, passages, and even the occasional song. She stared at the book in her lap with sorrow. She shook her head in sad amazement and shock. The mist around her dark and threatening as did her eyes. She was mad at herself, how could she of had let this happen?
(Short as well)

Silver snickered “Unfortunately we are not amongst the children of Hecate…” her muscles tensed for a moment and all lightning except the usual field around her disappeared. The storm clouds leaving. Children of Hecate…the only one she cared for was now dead. What more could be left? If there was magic it must’ve died with him.
The daughter of Zeus’s eyes flashed between a stormy grey and lightning blue, the change so quick it could even be frightening. “Silver, daughter of Zeus. Cabin leader.” She told the daughter of Poseidon in a half hiss. The daughter of Zeus’s electric fence got so staticky from her tension that the girl Ellyse’s hair would stand on end if she took half a step forward. Silver didn’t fear the daughter of Poseidon, no competition. No she at least had control of her powers, but the daughter of Zeus was proud…and frantically practically impossible to defeat.
Silver watched the girl pour over the book. “Maybe you should start investing in water proof pages…” she muttered darkly. Honestly Silver would normally be rude enough to point out it was the girl’s fault the book was wet. Since Silver under no circumstances could control water. Sure she could probably make it splash and she could split its weak hydrogen bonds, but she couldn’t control them.
Silver watched the mist thicken. Her safe electric barriers smooth against her, the daughter of Zeus looked like this was normal. A child of Poseidon of rampage. But Silver didn’t care, she never cared, she stopped caring years ago, it was a weakness. Something that caused enough pain as it was. The static shield rather energetic, enough energy so that is Silver were to clap sparks would probably fly outwards and could possible cause you to jump and feel the vibrations quite painfully.
The daughter of Zeus though did look off. Not because of this pathetic, over dramatic girl, but rather because her thoughts were elsewhere. She wanted magic. She wanted her powers to flaw in a fight, the only one able to do so was her dead best friend, the one she could never let go of even after all these years. Silver not really being the forgetting and forgiving type. Then again, who could blame her?
The little boy who saved her from the scene of where she killed her own mother had become her guardian, her best friend. That little boy had saved her from the goddess avenging her dead son’s (Silver’s step father) death. Having been caused because the demi-god had tried to have Silver killed by her own mother. The deranged couple having died after a lightning strike blowing up the house. The only survivor a small little girl. That little boy had been the only person in her life who didn’t die, who didn’t give up on her, the only one who truly loved her. And that little boy grew older and then Silver is threatened and he defends her with his life. His death coming from Silver’s robbed sword. Silver having watched his body fall to the pool of blood on the ground in horror, in dismay she exploded. The daughter of Zeus’s powers destroyed the grocery store where the tradegy happened from the inside out. And then she was pulled away from the body of her best friend. And later on escaping to go find Connor’s dream. Safety in Camp Half Blood. The camp she now resented. Where was help when Connor was dying? Where were those satyrs? Silver’s eyes looked back at Ellyse even more intimidating than before. If that was possible. The scene of Connor’s death replaying in her mind, her eyes glowing, her skin starting to sparkle as lightning could be seen moving over it in a beautiful snake life form.
