(I'm taking it as Nick held out his hand to help keep Renate up and not him helping to teach her skate since Kat didn't post anything about taking his hand, only grabbing on to him to help stabilize her....)
As Renate steadied herself, Zeke stood, smiling warmly, helping as best he could. When Nick began helping, however, he was about to snap. He didn't like the guy since the day he'd first saw him. Now, he was playing the nice, innocent kid helping a damsel in distress. But he kept his cool, waiting for the right moment. But wanting to speed things up, a little, he quietly melted a piece of the blade of ice on the bottom of Nick's shoe, making things slightly uneven but not enough to notice. "You okay?" he laughed as he made sure Renate was stable and wouldn't fall over. "Not going to be sliding, are you?"

Nick grinned and decided to just linger near Renate skating in circles around her and sorta excluding Zeke as if he weren't there. Nick honestly had no interest in Renate's person, more an interest in destroying her bright spirit. And taking Zeke down in the process. His gray eyes watching Renate as if it were by some sort of physical attraction when he was actually trying to rack his memory of the dead for somebody who may look like her or know her.

Renate grinned at Zeke “Not great. I think I’m gonna fall on my face…” she told him honestly as she continued staring at her feet instead of looking up at Zeke nor Nick. “So why do you know how to skate?” she asked Nick, sure the question was a bit personal, and…well straight forward. But it showed her interest in how a child of Nyx, which is what she believed he was, knew how to slide on ice.

Zeke smiled, whether Renate saw or not. He could sense the ice slowly chipping off Nick's skates the more he moved. Once he fell, all he'd have to do was refreeze them to where they looked as if nothing had happened to them. He had thought things through, for once, and he saw no flaw in his plan - it was too simple to not be idiot-proof.

Nick of course didn't notice the ice chipping. But was finding the situation rather...Dull. "I learned to skate from my uncle," he replied shurgging the lie off his shoulders. Honestly he couldn't remember which ghost taught him. All he knew is that she was a Olympian medalist with no life, which was why he just kept her to teach him for no apperant reason.

Renate nodded "Cool...so I'm guessing your from up north. Like Zeke!" she said teasing him. As son of Boreas god of the North wind. Her brown eyes amused as she glanced at Zeke. Her hands infront of her as she carefully tried moving forward sliding.

Zeke raised an eyebrow. "And how would you know where I'm from if I can't even remember?" he asked, laughing. Sliding backwards, away from Renate, slowly, he gave her space to move. But he didn't provide more space than necessary, close enough to catch her if she fell.

Renate laughed nearly falling at the same time but steading her self by pretty much sitting down on the ice as a sign of giving up. "Well your father is the Northern wind, as you seem to be familiar with your father's gifts and talents. So I stand by you must be Northern, since I doubt Texans can ice skate and enjoy the snow and ice." she replied laughing from her positon on the floor.

Zeke grinned, shrugging. "Call me Santa," he laughed, offering a hand. "And I've brought you the gift of I'm-gonna-make-sure-you-can-skate-by-the-end-of-the-day." Zeke wasn't one to give up. Not on himself and his abilities, not on revenge, and not on someone he liked - Renate falling under the third category.

Renate laughed "But you don't have a cheery nose or a white beard, yes I have heard the song," she said sticking out her tongue. She had been listening to the many Christmas songs on her way crash-landing a plane during one of her many vacations. her and planes...well she did want to be a pilot...
Staring at his hand she crossed her arms "No. I'm gonna fall and sitting down hurt enough, so I'll stay here until I freeze," she replied shaking her head. It was who she was, stubborn and proud. And not about to make a fool of herself attempting to skate again

Nick was feeling left out. Until she refused his hand grinning. "Well you we're doing fine if that counts," he said trying to make himself seem modest, but even then you could see a slight shade of something hidden within his gray eyes.

Renate laughed at Nick "Fine as in about to smash my face against the ground. No I believe I belong firmly in the world of balance and stability," her arms crossed as she looked up at the two like a stubborn little girl. Sure Renate was fun, she was stubborn, but like most she was a bit immature at times.

Zeke laughed, though all he really wanted to do at that moment was melt the ice around Nick and let him fall through. "Come on, I'll make sure you don't fall, again," he grinned, refusing to give up on Renate. His hand was still out, offering to help her up, but this time he was crouching so he wasn't looking down on Renate but straight over.

Renate stared straight at Zeke about to refuse once more but seeing determination she sighed "I suppose once more won't hurt..." she replied taking his hand so that she wouldn't fall as she attempted getting back up.

Nick grinned at Zeke's dislike towards him. Dont worry Zeke. I don't like you either... he thought. Deciding he wouldn't win by teaching her how to skate he decided a different approach. A quite braver one. "So Renate, are you dating anyone here yet? Cause it would be a crime to let you enjoy tomorrow's clear morning alone," he said not necessarily asking her out but rather acting as if he didn't want to get hit for wanting to hang out the next day. Which would probably be at a blizzard if Zeke wanted to foil the plan, which would be fine because Nick wanted some...quality time, with Zeke. His gaze a perfect mask of innocence as he thought of the possibilities.
