Julien smiled. "Yeah, they're all down by the beach. Mr D - uh - Dionysus isn't here at the moment so we're all taking a break, today," he explained, pointing toward Long Island Sound, on the far end of camp. "Well, most of us," he added, thinking of his earlier forced training session. Smiling, he explained the cabin system. "Each cabin is in place for each specific god or goddess, though some are empty because that god or goddess - all of them being goddesses, actually, don't have any demigod kids."
Realizing he hadn't fully explained what demigods were, he backtracked a little. "We're demigods. Half human half immortal deity. Some call us Half-Bloods, which is why this place is called Camp Half-Blood. Here, everyone is a demigod other than the occasional immortal visit, Dionysus - who we affectionately call Mr. D -, and Chrion the centaur Activities Director." Letting that sink in, he continued with the cabins. "Each cabin, as I said, is in place for a specific god or goddess. Which cabin you stay in depends on who your godly parent is." Pausing, he continued, naming each cabin's patron god. "The two in the middle are Cabins 1 and 2. They are where Zeus's kids stay. Hera doesn't have kids since she's the goddess of marriage and it looks bad for her reputation. But there is a child of Zeus. Her name is Hayden Silver, though never call her Hayden or she'll personally electrocute you. Stay away from her as best you can," he finished, laughing.
"You can probably guess most of the other cabins. Cabin 3 being Poseidon and Cabin 4 being mine - Demeter. 5 is Ares while 6 is Athena. 7, over there, is the Apollo Cabin, where Jeremy - the kid from the infirmary - stays. 8, right over there, is the Artemis cabin which is empty since she hates boys and stuff, though I don't see what's to hate about us!" he laughed. "The mini-forge over there is Cabin 9, which is devoted to the kids of Hephaestus. And across from that is Cabin 10: Aphrodite. 11 is for Hermes - the guy who flew you here. Then, 12 is for Mr. D's kids. Cabin 13, the number being pretty fitting, is for children of Hades. Two kids stay there, though one is out on a quest but betrayed them or something. It's a long, painful story. But, finishing things up, is Cabin Number 14! That's the cabin for all the minor gods and goddesses. The cabin leader is cold and doesn't have many friends, but she isn't cruel. The other resident, though..." he said, trailing off. "His name is Zeke. Son of Boreas. Stay away from him, too, if you can."
(That was long...)

Cascade took a moment to soak it all in. Fearful of her acceptance, she felt as if she should ask why he warned her to stay away from those people. She had an odd hunch of who her immortal deity was...due to the incident. "What if this is a mistake?" She said anyways, deferring what was right in front of her. "I am not godly in any way. You've got the wrong person." How foolish she was, walking away from what was right under her nose. It was obvious that her ignorance in accepting what was the truth was just lying to herself. "If I really am a god's child..." She turned around to face Julien with a sullen expression upon her face. "...where do I go so long as I have not been told who is my father?"
Once again, Cascade had nowhere to go. At least this time she didn't destroy her surroundings. Although she did not need friends to survive, she wondered if everyone was, unlike Julien, mean.
(Sorry, I couldn't think of anything... and I made Cascade 11. :/ With permission, of course.)

Julien grinned. There's the denial! he thought in a mental tone that made it seem like it had missed some sort of curfew. "Oh, your a demigod, alright. If you weren't, you'd be a pile of ashes, right now." Realizing that might be taken the wrong way, he was quick to answer the next question. "You'd go to the Hermes Cabin. Since he's the god of travelers and all who use the roads, it's sorta his duty to take the unclaimed into his cabin." Julien walked toward the Hermes cabin. "Be careful, though. Hermes is also god of thieves so I would trust the Hermes kids with many things. But If you'd like, you can check it out. The door is open."

She shook her head no, not wanting to be the daughter of the god of thieves. "How do I find out... who my father is?" Cascade wasn't sure if there was a real answer to her questions, for she thought of the experience of Julien could be different for her, as his mother was a goddess, and her father was a god.
Rummaging through her pack, she took out her music player, along with her earphones. Her hunch had to have been correct, especially because after the incident, her godly parent was quite obvious. But, she kept this to herself. There was no reason for Julien to know. Tracing the patterns on the side of her music player, she remembered the incident. Crystal clear images raced through her mind, the thought of the past plaguing her mind. Instantly, she looked at Julien's face to bring herself back to the present. There could never be another situation where she lost control. It wasn't worth it.

Julien smiled, warmly, accepting and contemplating each question thrown at him. "You really don't," he said, shrugging. "Your dad has to claim you. If your dad was, say, Zeus - I pray for your safety, if that's the case - then a lightning bolt or and eagle or something would appear over your head in a mist-type thing. That's generally how this whole finding-out-who-your-parent-is thing works." Hesitating for a moment, he added," Usually, anyways. I was never claimed, as weren't many of the more, ah, prominent kids, here. They all found out some other way. Me, my father and grandparents knew. When my dad was murdered, I was sent to my grandparents. They, in turn, informed me of my lineage and sent me here."

She nodded, seeping in the information quickly. Something inside her made her ache to know who her father was-something inside made her hope that it was not who she thought it was. Her strange power had wiped out her entire hometown, and Cascade did not want to be the daughter of... that god. Walking behind Julien, she tried to look eager for what the camp had in store without changing her facial expression, but inside, the daunting feeling she'd had earlier grew stronger with each step she took.

Julien walked on, passing the cabins behind him. He came to the Big House (or is the infirmary within the Big House???), stopping and looking up at the attic. "This is the Big House. It's where Chiron and Mr. D live." Turning back to Cascade, he continued. "Also, in the pool room is where Cabin Leader Meetings are held. The most experienced demigod is generally appointed Cabin Leader and there's one per cabin." Turning and continuing the tour, he added, "My cabin's leader is out on a quest. I've never met her, her name is Kathrine Woods. She's also with the Hephaestus cabin leader - Jasper Crestle; the Hermes cabin leader - Terry Coleman; and the Dionysus cabin leader - Matthew Erikson. There were two others but Kayden - Silver's half-brother, a child of Zeus - we learned has died. And Shade... well, we're not sure what happened to him. He attacked the camp with no knowledge of who people were, here - even his friends." Julien shuddered, remembering the deaths and his strange calm. He had nightmares about that day and he had a feeling they'd never go away. "Jasper is supposedly still in Manhattan, doing research for the other questers." Realizing he never explained what a quest was, he added, "A quest is pretty much like a spy mission," he said, not knowing what else to compare it to. "The Oracle - Susan Kili - will get sorta possessed, apparently, or so that's how I heard things, and give out some riddle... well, the technical term is prophecy, but it sounds more like a riddle. Anyways, eventually people are chosen to embark on the task, yada yada yada, it's accomplished, the questers are worshiped as heroes."

Cascade tilted her head thoughtfully, absorbing Julien's words and taking them into consideration. "Am I...supposed to tell them I'm here?" She said, referring to the early part of his long rant. Suddenly, she felt unwelcome once more. She wasn't supposed to have adjusted to her surroundings, as punishment, however, somehow, with Julien next to her, she felt as if she'd arrived home.

Julien smiled, again. It was a welcoming, careless smile. "No, no. I sent Jeremy off to inform the cabin leaders. He just had a lot of things to do, first, I suppose. Frankly, I'm surprised they aren't up here," he admitted to her, shrugging. "But I suppose he got sidetracked and busy. He had to put away the ambrosia and nectar you refused to finish, throwing out the nectar but keeping the ambrosia since you didn't even touch it." Pausing, again, he stood still for a moment, thinking of other possible excuses for their lateness, as he could tell Cascade didn't feel welcome and he would be sure to change that. "I think they might just be enjoying their time off. Mr. D usually makes us work harder on holidays. The only time I recall getting a break is Christmas. Imagine that - Greek gods pardoning work for a Christian holiday!" he laughed.

She didn't know if she was supposed to laugh as well, but she wasn't in the mood for smiles and laughter anyway. "Then, what am I to do?" Inwardly, she thought she should tell Julien of what had happened, as well as her suspicion of who her godly parent was. However, she suppressed that urge with the distrust she felt for people. She could tell he was trying to make her feel comfortable, but that just made her even more tense.

"Well, despite your protests, I'm pretty sure you'll be stuck in the Hermes cabin until we find out who your father is," he said, sympathetic for her. "If they do ever steal something from you, you can always go to Seline, Minor Gods Cabin Leader. I'm sure she'll help you out; but she won't make friends with you. She just, sorta, won't stand for stuff like that. She's sorta like a policeman. You can expect her to enforce rules, but once you do something wrong or something to make her angry... or become friends with her, she'll snap back at you, as well." Realizing he'd never offered his services, he added, "And I'll do whatever I can but I'll be honest: I can't find at all and am sorta the new kid around here so not many take me seriously." The only reason I have the little respect I have, now, is because of how I handled the aftermath of the attack on the camp... he thought, grimly.

Hesitantly, she asked: "What do you mean, you can't find at all?" Quizzically, she raised an eyebrow, questioning what he'd said in a very blunt way. Contemplating her choices, she debated internally about the Hermes kids. Surely they couldn't be that bad...but most of her stuff was private, and she felt rather insecure about leaving them within thieves's reach. It wasn't like she had many options-she either had to tell Julien of her suspicions, or live with thieves until her father "claimed" her.

(xD That was a typo. I meant to put he can't fight at all)
"Well, I've never really gotten the hang of fighting and, as I've said, I can't use my powers. I'm pretty useless in a fight!" he admitted. Deciding he should probably continue the tour, he gave her one last chance to check out the Hermes Cabin. "You sure you don't want to peek inside the cabin? Or should we just move on with the tour and you can go back in there, afterward."

(OH. Well. Um. This is awkward.... pretend I said fight. O WO)
She tilted her head. "If I tell you something, will you promise not to tell a soul, living or dead, what I say?" Cascade mentally slapped herself. Now there was no turning back, unless she was to lie to the kind boy. Why had she even bothered blurting out anything like that?
(Pardon my short stuff. .______________.)

(Haha, okay... and it's fine)
Julien smiled at the girl who was only about 2/3 his age. "Of course," he promised. "I swear I won't speak a word of it." Turning to face her, and tilting his head down, slightly, because of the height difference, he listened for the secret she was about to share. He felt special, like he meant something. It was a rare feeling as he had no actual friends here. Silver kinda got along with Tina and he'd seen her throwing glances at Justin Harris, who returned them just as often. Seline took care of Tina, as well, and was on good terms with Skylar, if he recalled, correctly, her first day, here. Even Zeke seemed to be talking to Renate. He was alone, getting by just from the determination to become something. Now, this girl - practically a stranger to him - was about to say something she wanted no one else to hear.
