Rora Blackwell was probably the strangest of demigods in the good sense. She wasn't mean. Ruthless. Cold. No. She wasn't mysterious. Haunting. Experienced. No. She was over enthusiastic. Hyper maybe. Active. And Playing With Fire in a forest. A face palm moment no doubt.
Laughing she made a small flame flicker to life, it was weak. Her powers were due to lack of use. But it was still a flame. Easily spreadable. Especially on this hot summer day. Dark eyes bright she looked completely amused. Strange. new girl and not spending time with campers like she planned to. But hey! She wanted to play with fire. And she doubted they would appreciate her walking around with a open flame.

The hellhound crashed to the floor, melting immediately into dust. The ice shards piercing its throat evaporated instead of melting, turning to freezing mist that returned around the daughter of Khoine. In the heat of the summer, she was practicing, allowing her powers to flow and attract monsters of all sorts. She was the hunter, not the hunted. With a wave of her hand, the ground where the chimera was standing froze its paws to the ground, and then with a dismissive flick of her wrist, the ice daggers shot into the monster's eyes. With a horrified screech, it exploded into sulfurous powder.
Silene continued on, moving away from the clearing. The thick icy fog flowed around her in a heavy sheet, forming frost on the foliage she passed. When she stopped, she heard laughter from a camper to her right. Turning, she turned a bush to pure ice,and it shattered in front of her like fragile glass. The girl in the clearing was harboring a tiny flame. Hesphaestus. Pathetic girl not worth her time. She turned around, ready to ignore her when the growl of two chimeras sounded through the trees. "We have incoming, girl. Stop playing around with your fire. I'm not going to try to protect you."

Rora watched the fog roll in and automatically searched for it's creator. The white haired girl catching her attention "Hey! I'm Aurora!". And she was fighting monsters. Lovely. Stepping back she watched Silene. She seemed to be ice. Well maybe if you had fire and ice together then they will be a quick and effective team. Concentrating on the flame she tried to make t bigger. Her head starting to ache as it grew slightly bigger than her hand. Aiming it at the neaest chimera she threw it. Hoping for it to make some sort of effect. Since Rora didn't foresee fighting monsters inside a camp and left her stuff.

Silene resisted the urge to roll her eyes, and spun quickly out of the way as one of the monsters charged at her. With a quick and forceful stab, she drove a materialized ice sword in her hand into the side of the chimera. The monster spewed, and she avoided it, taking off one of its heads- the goat- and then the snake one as it sped past.
The daughter of Khoine was prepared to finish off the furious beast when a burst of fire crashed into the other waiting one. Great, now it was going to charge. A barrage of icy needles zipped through the air, bombarding the chimera Rora was fighting. "You're inexperienced to come out here without a weapon." She told her, turning back to her own monster.

Rora grinned at Silene "Thanks for speaking my thoughts," she told the daughter of Khoine. Sure it was a bit sarcastic. But in a joking manner. Rora being the queer kind of person to do that. There was no explaining the daughter of Hepheasus, a attempt would make her seem psychotic. Which wasn't the case. She was just....indecisive,
Rora watched the chimera dash at her. The icy needles having caused enough pain to it to anger it and blind the eye of one of the heads. The snake. Rora made another fireball. Palm sized this time. The hot air definitely helping her poor case as she made a mental note that when this was over to thank this white haired girl, go everywhere equipped, and train. Since it seemed like she needed it. Especially with her powers. As the chimera ran forward she took careful aim throwing her fireball at its other eye. The snake head shaking back and forth as the fire burnt it painfully.

The second chimera wasn't stupid. It saw that Rora wa the weaker opponent, and it charged her. Silene kept her own busy, showering it with needles of ice. She formed a longsword from ice, and flipped into the air. She landed on top of the beast, sliding the blade into the throat of the lion head. The monster lurched with a gurgle, and she moved away. Slowly, her hands that were pressed together by the palms splayed open, and she moved her white fingers outward. The ice sword stuck in the monster morphed, growing large spikes in all directions.
The monster was dust in no time. Silene turned back to Rora to view her progress. "Well, get on with it. Here's a sword." The mist gather at her hand, and she flung the solid object towards the other girl. The form solidified, turning into another ice sword just for her. "Take care not to melt it, Aurora. My name is Silene, and I am the Mnor Gods cabin leader, daughter of Khoine."

As the chimera charged Aurora jumped to the side. Another ball of fire forming as she grabbed a nearby stick lighting it on fire with the small flame. The stick blazing with a growing fire as she feed it, the chimera turning to face her. The daughter of Hepheastus seemed strangely calm. The chimera charging once more at her as Aurora threw the blazing stick at the lion head to hopefully catch the mane on fire, Aurora focusing on the flame to make sure it didn't die as it caught onto its mane. Which aggrivated it more, Aurora running to a nearby tree and swinging onto it and up the tree. Silene speaking to her just as she finished her chimera off.
Aurora caught the ice sword as the chimera ran at the tree. Aurora feeling the heat rise in her palms decided it was time to act fast. Jumping from a branch downwards into the back the sword going in first before Aurora landed. The flame on the lion's mane suddenly bursting in flames that should've burned Aurora, and should've possibly even left her pretty badly burnt. But they did no such. Aurora rolling off the monster and sprinting away from it and towards the obviously more skilled demigod.

She watched as Rora flipped down from her higher ground, driving the weapon she had given her into the monster. The thing screeched in pain, and she formed an ice dagger from the mist around her. With pinpoint precision, he flung the weapon out. It zipped past the daughter of Hephaestus just as she was running towards her and hit the eye of the last head. The thing burst into yellow particles.
"You didn't do too bad, I suppose. Your fire was interesting, at least." She commented, eyeing the area where the chimera had died. "You need to remember the camp rules. Those who are inexperienced are highly advised to take a companion into the forest. A damper should never enter the forest without a weapon."

Aurora had been busy running back to Silene to see the monster burst into dust. "Thanks I guess?" she said shakily with a smile. Unsure of what to say, how was the fire interesting? To Rora it was all the same to her, a warm fuzzy flame in her palm or surrounding her, licking her arms. Which now that she thought about it...maybe she could light herself on fire...the thought making her smile slightly.
Blinking she smiled sheepishly laughing slightly as she rubbed the back of her neck "Uh yeah...camp rules..." she said not even aware the camp had any. Rora never being one to pay much attention to that stuff.

Silene narrowed her eyes, folding her arms across her chest neatly to eye this new camper. Obviously she was inexperienced at being a demigod, and it was the campers like her that usually had the most fatalities or injuries. She was going to have to adapt. Quickly.
"Well, Miss Rora, don't forget them. I advise you to go see Chiron after this to have your memory...refreshed. If you die because you disregarded a safety precaution, it will not be anyone's problem but your own."

Aurora smiled brightly "I'll be sure to do that," she laughed warmly. Rora being like a small fire, bright, glowing, and warm. So she didn't take much notice in the possible dislike Silene felt towards a careless person. The daughter of Hepheastus looking back at the monster...huh...maybe it did die...or flee... she thought shrugging back. Obviously not having experience in the whole getting attacked and fighting back thing with monsters.

"When did you come to camp? You should start your training soon, and get filled in on the knowledge of Greek mythology. You don't seem to know much." This ignorant were the weak, and therefore the vulnerable. She had no desire to have someone killed off. It was a nuisance, and there had to be a funeral and some paperwork done for witnesses and whatnot.

Aurora smiled "Yeah training would be good. I doubt I'll be lucky again..." though their was a pretty good chance she did get lucky. Rora was a strangely lucky person, to have someone save her from a fire that should have killed her is luck. "But I got here earlier in the morning..." she said smiling.

"The monsters take their time studying and stalking their prey if they are intelligent." Silene informed the girl before her. "They were wary of your fire. You're a lucky person indeed." She nodded, and stood. "Well, let's go back to Chiron and have him explain everything to you again. You need to know and understand all safety. And staying here is not safe."

Aurora nodded still smiling "I'll keep that in mind," she told Silene as she told her about monsters. Which made sense the more Aurora taught about it. She then nodded "I suppose revisiting him would be ok..." she mused thoughtfully. Though their was a good chance she would forget everything all over again.
