Nick paused in a clearing. A sick smile covering the fake innocence as his true identity was revealed. "here," he replied simply. The winds brushed past as ghosts danced around them. The sight was horribly creepy. It took no energy. Or not enough energy to notice. The son of Thanatos was saving up for his next stunt. One that would involve Zeke having to come out of hiding. One that will draw Renate so close to death her body will run cold. One that would involve the ripping away of her ghostly spirit. Painful. Cruel. And completely Nick. Grabbing her arm he yanked her over. He was in no way going to be kind. He wanted Zeke to see her pain. To want to come down and fight. Fight and think he'll win only to see his poor girl die for a second. "Ready to meet Hades Renate?" he asked in a loud cold and heartless voice.

Renate froze in sudden shock of how fast Nick changed. Frozen in the sight of ghosts. Suddenly she felt him yank her forward. A yelp escaping from the sudden pain. Blinking she pulled back reacting with a kick at his head. How dare he touch her? How dare he threaten her? Did he think she was an easy target simply because she had no powers?
Her brown eyes flashed. The worse day to leave her weapons at the cabin...the good thing was...she was the deadliest weapon.

Nick needed Zeke to come out before he could procceed with his plan. The son of Thanatos wanted to see the look on Zeke's face when it happened. So he needed to make it as real as possible. Ducking he made the ghost of a ancient Chinese samurai appear. The ghost easily reflecting the same amount of skill as Renate and possibly more experience as it lunged forwards quickly to pin her down. The ghost was semi-transparent. So it would seem like Nick was doing this. But the son of Thanatos was never one to get his hands dirty.

Zeke's eyes widened as Nick began. That was the only word for it... began. He couldn't describe how unexpected this was. He didn't hesitate. Leaping from his concealed location high in the trees, he willed the winds to slow his impact, landing silently, wielding twin ice katana he had willed to form into his hands during the split-second fall. There would be no mercy, here, today. Nick had already pushed Zeke further than everyone else in the camp, combined, including the traitorous Shade. He said nothing, but simply fired off a fragment of the katana, the tip reforming with new ice in the blink of an eye.

Renate suddenly felt someone pin her to the ground. Her brown eyes in shock. Nick wasn't touching her. Spinning to her feet and lashing out with a kick she stood up to see someone half there but not...a ghost. She stared at Nick in shock "What are you doing?" she said not showing her fear. No she'd never show her fear of ghosts. But if you searched for it, you can see a hint of it in those flashing and alarmed brown eyes.
Then she heard something she turned to see Zeke. Relief flooding over her as she ran at him "Zeke!" she breathed wanting to get away from all of this. She couldn't fight ghosts. It wasn't fair. She would hit right through them. Why did Nick target her? What did she do?

Nick cocked his head to the side "Isn't it obvious? I'm going to kill you," he smiled. He loved this. He loved how Renate reacted. Martial arts prodigy, the fearless warrior, couldn't stand the sigh of the dead? Wonderful, he'd keep that in mind.
Then Zeke showed up. His smile widening as he moved to the side letting the ice go past. "Your late, nevertheless the show must go on!" he said the ghost population growing as they continued waltzing around them, music playing, "Do you want to dance? It could be your last dance with Renate, or is it also the first?" his ghostly eyes mocking Zeke. "Ice boy, does he have a heart warm enough for hot headed Korean? Or will it not matter? Renate will be cold enough for you, when all warmth escapes and her heart stops beating," he sneered. He was waiting. He wanted to push Zeke farther before killing Renate, or half killing her.

Anger was flooding Zeke's mind, already, as Nick progressed with his plan. "Trust me, it's not going to get that far," he said in a low, menacing tone. He wasn't about to let anything happen to Renate - he'd never forgive himself. That meant restraining Nick. Shooting off another ice shard, he made his advance, attempting to get between Nick and Renate, willing to guard her with his life.
"It almost seems like you want to die," he grinned, eyes cold and fringed with ice. Zeke was going to go all-out if Nick didn't back down. That was generally a bad thing, especially when he already didn't like his victim.

Nick laughed at Zeke as he side stepped the next dagger. "Do you want to see a party trick?" he teased "it will prove to you how easy this is," opening his palm he watched Renate as she ran towards Zeke. Waiting until she got close enough he closed it. Completely stopping her heart her ghostly spirit being ripped out as the ghost of Renate left it's body. Renate wasn't dead. Not yet. She seemed like it, and would be if her ghost stayed outside it's body long enough for one to get damaged or for the ghost to lose it's body. Renate could even die if Nick kept the ghost trapped and away from it's body for a entire day. That would cause her to die, since without her spirit her heart couldn't beat and her brain wouldn't function leaving her to die inside out.
Such a sight was horrible. Nick smiling at Renate's ghost, the body would be cold, pulseless, dead. Nick though was pale. The trick was draining. But he still had enough energy for some other stuff. But not enough to do that trick again today. But he loved to see Zeke's expression.

Renate was going to get away from Nick. He was a lunatic. What else? And as she ran at Zeke she heard their words. Relief that Zeke was here to protect her. But scared Nick had more hidden talents. Which he did. Suddently she felt the air knock out of her. Her stomach flipping as she collapsed nearly face first. She couldn't move, she couldn't breathe. Her heart burned as she tried to open to eyes, she wanted to scream but her throat was closed. Was she dying? She felt hopeless, defeated, but suddently there was a flash.
Blinking Renate stared at Zeke. "What happened?" she asked. Her voice a soft ghostly whisper as she touched her throat, which had closed earlier. Then she caught sight of the ghostly pale. Horrified she looked at her own dead body. Her brown eyes widening in shock and fear. She was dead...

Zeke laughed at the demigod in front of him. He was more than a match for this new kid. However, his laugh was cut short as Renate collapsed. He ran up to her, his swords melting, instantly. Kneeling by her, he checked her pulse, or, rather, lack thereof. She was gone. Dead. He'd failed protecting her. It all had happened too fast. He'd never known the extent of Nick's powers. In fact, he didn't even know Nick had these powers. He was a son of Nyx, wasn't he?
The temperature plummeted to subzero as his eyes froze over. He was mad, now, as he put aside his boundaries. He wasn't holding anything back. An ice tendril snaked out toward Nick along the ground, lunging out at him as it drew near.

Renate noticed the temperature drop. A slight frost shown where water once was on the moist grass. "Zeke!" she cried worried. She didn't want him losing control. She wanted her body back. She didn't want to be a ghost. And if Nick died, what would get her back into her body? "Zeke!" she called again hoping he could hear her as she ran at him. Resting her ghostly hand on his shoulder "I'm right here,"

Nick sighed using his energy to make himself semi-ghostly. Sure the ice hurt when it hit him. But at least it went through him. Nick frowning "Now now Zeke. Surely you don't want to bury poor Renate in snow and have her body die faster from the cold? It will make her possible return...impossible," he grinned patting himself down as he tried to ignore the sharp pain from the cold ice going through him. If anything never show your hurt...

Zeke's head turned quickly at the sound of Renate's voice, seeing her ghostly form beside him. He nearly broke into tears, but they would have simply frozen as they hit the air. Renate brought him back from the edge as he held back his own powers. Then Nick mentioned a possible return to her body. In that instant, the air warmed, again, as he turned his eyes back on Nick. "And what do you mean by that?" he asked, still prepared to kill him if he pushed things too far.

Nick smiled "She's not dead...yet," he told them both flatly. He loved this. It was fun. Quite amusing. But it was also strangely boring. He wanted something...outstanding to happen. She he flexed his muscles, causing his vision to get blurry as he straigned his powers even further, it was like an exercise. Keep Renate's ghost out of her body while keeping himself semi-transparent, while cause Renate's ghost to fade.
Nick curious to how Zeke would act if suddently Renate disappeared completely and caught a glimpse of the Underworld. Surely his father would notice the daughter of Ares was not actually dead since he didn't take her, but that Nick sent her for a joke he had done a couple times before...unless he mistaked her for someone else and killed her in the Underworld...

Renate smiled sweetly at Zeke "Don't cry, I'm fine," she whispered at him giving his a gentle hug, which would be weird considering she was a ghost and a new type of cold... His words making her jaw drop as she stared in shock at Nick "Then how am I...what did you do to me?" she asked shocked and confused. How was she dead but not? How did that make any sense.
