nobody knows the exact beginning. nor the ending. but what we do know is some of the past. we know that this town is covered by magical creatures. it was long ago when the magical creatures fooled the humans into large wars between each other. the goverment and local leaders then had to step in. rounding up all the magical creatures and locking them into this town. the problem is when one dies, it revives in another place in the world. so the officials, or rather the Regulators had to get them. the job of the Regulators in to capture the reincarnated magical creatures and take them to somnium coverra when they turn 16 and could be dangerous. but before being taken to somnium coverra some memories that could possibly look bad for the Regulators are erased.
once a magical creature crossed the golden screen they could never get out. such a fact angered many. they were told somnium coverra was a safe place for them, and it is. but many had bonds outside the city. but after a while the creatures got use to it. they started building up the city and studying it. and plotting against it. many want the border broken. they want out, they yearn to see the sea, or to feel the sand between their toes. many are in the town hall trying to find out more about the magical border, and why humans that know about magical creatures go insane, or just have bad luck. those children born here are usually taken by the goverment and placed in a special unknown location until they reach an age old enough to control themselves a bit better without causing problems.
