Helana sat in a tree not too far into the forest but just far enough to where she couldn't be bothered by the many noises and distractions from the school. A book waited in her lap, read to be thoroughly inspected and taken to bits by her eyes. Likewise, she was ready to memorize it's many paragraphs and titles. Despite the coolness of the Fall weather, Helana felt perfectly warm and comforted by the outdoors. Clearing her mind of all irrelevant things, she opened her book and began to read it out loud.

Pyre had thought he saw someone sneaking out into the woods and had followed. "Ah, a new face, I see," he inquired, quietly. He had been behind the girl in a tree with a rather sturdy branch. In one swift motion, the son of Zephyrus landed with just the slighted bend of the knee. Walking over with silent steps, Pyralis sat and glanced at the book. "I'm Pyralis Demos - call me Pyre." Adjusting himself so he could better commune with the girl. "And, you would be?"

Helana glanced up for a second to gather the face of the voice who had interrupted her reading before she continued it in silence.
"My name is Helana Sinclair. I suppose a person should say that it's nice to meet another however, I find it quite the opposite." She flipped the page with a flick of her wrist and held the book just a little closer than before.
"May I ask why you've chosen to speak with me?"

Pyre was slightly surprised at her attitude. He quickly overcame it and carried on in his conversation. "Well, Helana, I make it my business to know people. I'm the Minor Gods Dorm Leader. Is there any chance you'll be joining us in the dorm?" Pyralis prayed to Zeus that he not but you never truly know.
"Who is your godly parent?"

"Posiden." Venom filled her voice as she spoke and an intense feeling of hatred coated the words and her reaction to the extent that she had to check her book to make sure she hadn't ruined it. Luckily, it was fine but she still tried to uncrumple the hardly crumpled page. She quietly thank the gods that it was fine and mentally slapped her self afterwards. Never do that again, she scolded herself. An expression alien to her face showed upon her features.

Pyre could sense the distasteful hatred of the mere mention of Poseidon. HE decided to leave the issue to another day. "Ah, the sea god. Interesting. If you ever need anything, stop by. I'm always either in the dorm or roaming the grounds..." Pyre paused. "Unless I'm in class," he added, though it was probably understood.
"So, enjoying the book?" he asked, attempting to make small talk and get her mind off of her father.

Helana nodded slightly before deciding that words might be nice.
"It's rather interesting even in the sixth time through. I still don't quite understand the man's deductions and way of thinking so it's like reading it for the first time whenever I pick it up." Speaking like this made her voice a bit lighter but she was still troubled. She had hoped she'd never have to say that name again but it would figure that she did.

Pyre smiled. He had a way of getting people to talk. It was a little knack of his. A gift sent from Olympus. "I see. I know the feeling," Pyre commented, indicating towards the book. "I've read many of my books multiple times. They're still very amusing."
Sighing, he looked at the girl - Helana. He really had nothing to talk to her about but still felt he should stay. "Hmm... is there anything you want to talk about?" he asked, boredly. "I need someone to talk to and you're the only one around."

"Well... Umm..." Helana stumbled over her words. Speaking to people was most certainly not her forte. However, she felt inclined to speak with Pyralis. If he had nobody else to talk to she may as well try just this once. If she hated it, she would never try to converse with anybody other than her precious Grandmother.
"Where are you from?"

Pyre smile faded, slightly. "Manhattan, believe it or not." He actually lived only minutes away from Olympus. It was sad, really, to be that close to Olympus and Camp but be forced to move down to Virginia for Silver Creek. "You?" he asked.

Helana thought about the place she'd lived in while her mother was alive and then her home far away in England. She smiled slightly and answered with a clear voice that showed her otherwise hidden accent.
"I'm from Northern London in England. Grandmother thought it best that I attend a school that was up to my high standards. She's a smart lady, much like my mumzies was."

Pyre's eyes widened just the slightest amount - unnoticeable to an untrained eye. He hadn't expected England. "Well, Helana, I've always wanted to travel to London. Is it nice?" Pyralis may not have worded that to the best of his ability, but he was interested nonetheless. "Have you been to Big Ben or the Palace?"

"I've been to both. They're really not everything that they're said to be. Though the way that Big Ben works is interesting." Helana once again hid her accent so that most wouldn't suspect here origins. It wasn't that she had something against them but she didn't want anybody to know. She'd always been very sensitive on that bit.
"I guess the most interesting thing there was... Well a film crew for a show. Beautiful show, love the actors."

Pyralis nodded slowly. "I would've never guessed you were from England," Pyre admitted. "So, a TV Show was filmed at Big Ben? Which one?" he asked. Pyre really wondered what was happening in the UK. He had always wanted to visit Europe. Then again, he was a traveler. Pyralis had set the goal to visit every continent in the world - Asia, Europe, South America, Australia, Africa, Antarctica, etc.

"Oh, it was filmed at Big Ben. It was just in London." Her lips twitched into a smile as thought about the memory. That was where she got her first crush.
"The show was Doctor Who. I miss watching it with Grandmother. She'd yell at the screen with me every time the Doctor or a companion did something stupid. Always the best part of the weekend."
