Pyre arrived in the Arena to find Sabrina waiting for him. Walking over to her, he smiled. "Hello," he said. "Shall we begin?" Pulling out his silvery blade, which he had named Cyclone, he twirled it around as naturally as breathing. Pyralis had always been a natural swordsman. He was trained by some of the best and also just sorta taught himself.
Stopping about two feet away, he awaited an answer.

(Aw, thanks. From the other thread. And I've been RPing for two and a half years, so yeah... Sorry I haven't been on! Ugh, I'm horrible for that.) Sabrina nodded eagerly, her own sword already in hand. She would ask a Hephaestus kid to make a sheath for her later. The sapphire on the handle was shining light blue. She still didn't know what it meant, but didn't really care. "Yeah, sure." She stared in amazement at his twirling. She knew that he probably wouldn't hurt himself, but she still worried. "So, um, what first?"

(Ha... I've only been rping for... 2 years? I'll have too think about that one... I think it's two... And it's all right. I have no life so I'm on here constantly)
Pyre noticed her staring at his twirling sword and stopped immediately. He didn't want to show off. He was trying to train her, not impress her. "Okay, let's get started on the basics. You are going to hold the sword like this," he said, holding his sword in the same way Sabrina should hold her's. "I bet your thinking Does Pyre really think I'm such an idiot as to teach me how to hold a sword? but not many people know how to hold it correctly. I had to start with holding the sword and such, too."
(I don't know anything about sword-fighting other than slash at the enemy and don't get your head chopped off so... let's see where this goes. XD)

(I have no life too. Heck, even one of my friends said that. And sure, just make it up as you go along, lol) As Pyre stopped, she looked up at him again. Sabrina shifted her hand so she was holding the sword the way Pyre was holding his. She was glad that her sword was light, so she didn't have much difficulty moving it. "And no, I don't think you're an idiot. I don't really know how to do anything, so I'll need all the help I can get." Sabrina smiled happily, looking at him. "Am I holding it right?" (You were up at 3 in the morning?)

(Aren't you proud? XD)
Pyre nodded. "Yep, perfect," he replied. "Now you bring your sword up like this," he said. With one fluid movement, Pyre moved his sword up into the air in a basic uppercut-like slash. "Now, you try." Pyre smiled as he watched the daughter of Apollo. So far, she seemed to be a natural. Although, Pyre had only taught her one thing so far but she got it right off the bat. There may be hope for this girl, yet.

(lol) "Um, okay..." She held the handle tightly as she replayed what he did in her mind. Sabrina pulled her arm back awkwardly, then swung it out upwards as she tried to imitate what Pyre had done. But it probably looked more like she was swinging a hammer instead of a sword. "...That was bad."

"I've seen worse," he reassured her - or at least tried to. "Try it like this. Hold it how I taught you and pull backwards like this, then up like so." With each statement, Pyre slowly imitated the correct way to do as he said. "You'll get the hang of it. You just started five minutes ago, after all."

"Okay..." Sabrina wasn't completely convinced, but she followed his example. It resulted in something kind of like what Pyre had done. But it would take a while to get it perfect. She held back a sigh. There was certainly a lot to do, and a lot to mess up on while sword fighting. And this was only the beginning.

(Gonna skip a bit... XD)
Some time later, Pyre had successfully taught Sabrina a few things and she was ready, by Pyre's standards, to start training. "Now, use what you've learned on me. Of course, no amputation will be involved. Just a little sparring." And so Pyre stood in wait for Sabrina to make a move.

(lol, was running out of things to say) Sabrina nodded, "Okay..." she murmured silently, thinking of what to do first.
Then she suddenly stepped forward and swung at Pyre's face. Her aim was probably a little off, but she didn't care. But as she swung, she hesitated. She slowed a bit in the middle of the attack, afraid that she might hurt him. She didn't want to hurt anyone, besides the enemy. And Apollo kids were supposed to heal fellow demigods.

(haha, maybe training wasnt a good idea... this'll be a quick thread)
Pyre rose his sword to block at the last second, which seemed to be forever. "You hesitated," he said, bluntly. "Trust me, you won't hurt me. I still have a few tricks up my sleeve... or maybe in my pocket, or in my cabin... but the point still stands: don't slow down. Try." And with that lecture, Pyre motioned for Sabrina to try again.

"Sorry," Sabrina muttered apologetically.
With that, she swung at him again, trying not to slow down this time. Sabrina had never thought that fighting could be this hard. Not physically hard, but mentally as well. She wondered what she would do if she was forced to fight someone she knew. But why would she be forced to anyway? With that thought, she focused her attention back on Pyre again.

(Sorry I haven't been on. I was loaded with homework... XD)
Pyre parried the strike and slashed, missing, at Sabrina. "That was a lot better. You're doing great, Sabrina," he grinned, encouragingly. "Now, remember how I parried and try to get past. I've got a small wind field blowing around me to deflect any strikes that get through." Of course, this was a lie. He was just trying to encourage Sabrina to not hold back.
(Let's see where this goes! Maybe I'll get injured... or killed... no, not killed... yet... but I do plan on eventually killing off Pyre... and I'll mainly use my Zeke account and make a new character with this one or something...)

(Aw, you're killing Pyre?! Ugh, we're like the only two on. And now I'm addicted to Bleach, the anime.) Even though she knew that it was just practice, Sabrina couldn't help but flinch as he moved towards her, but missed.
"O-okay..." Sabrina wondered exactly how he could control the air field, but ignored the thought for now. The important thing was for her to get it right. She took a few quick steps towards Pyre, and swung her sword at him.

(Yeah, but not yet... I'm planning to get a small plot type thing on here in which some god or goddess that could possibly have the ability of mind control and have him/her/it kidnap some students in a plot to control demigods and overthrow Zeus or just control mortals... either or. Anyways, then Pyre will be kidnapped, regained and healed, be in a battle against the mind-controlled or whatever demigods remaining and die in battle... but later on. First I need to further develop his character... but I'll still have my Camper (Zeke) and probably a new character so I don't get bored. Is that too much to read? XD Sorry I get way off track and over-explain myself and such)
Pyre flicked his sword up and attacked. Of course, he purposefully missed, again, but it still got the point across. Sabrina wasn't getting it right. "Try to confuse me or surprise me. Go with something effective and unpredictable," he suggested. "Maybe then you could get the upper hand and actually land a blow... uh... on the air I have around me. Try it."
