Silene was taking a walk by the lake. It was too hot for her liking. Summer was the least favorite of her seasons. Her weapon was her powers. The amount of energy she had was crucial. She needed more energy to keep a freezing spell on the ice, snow, or frost she created. Things like throwing knives and her ice sword she constantly made, so it barely took any energy for those. But ice pillars were different. She had to increase the energy spent on a freezing spell because of the warmer weather that could melt the ice.
Silene checked her hair clips cautiously. She always did. They were a present from her mother. The goddess Shiva. Her realm was anything frozen. And anything could be frozen or covered in ice.
The clips were her treasure. Proof that even though she was offspring of a minor goddess, she was strong, and had powers that exceeded normal demigods. She had trained her powers all her life. They were her only weapon. The clips had the ability to generate moisture and cold humid mist. A hazy fog abundant in water droplets that she could form into anything of ice with her powers for weapons. They were a garuntee that she would be able to use her powers at all times. She just needed a little water.
That was why she was at the lake today. She had come to train her powers. Silene closed her eyes as she arrived at the edge. The sound of water in her ears like a melody. But it wasn't quite complete. She waved her hand, and as small waves lapped against the shore, a few water droplet floated into her hands and froze immediately. Tiny shards of frost and ice hovered around her. They glittered brilliancy in the shone. They weaves and danced in a patter around her as she spun. She would some day be able to do this with knives, she hoped. Ice knives. But it would have to be in the winter time and she had to train for more energy. The shards wove through each other. In and out. Spinning.
