Jasper frowned. Was it possibly a simple trade, or was there a catch? There was always a catch. " What's the catch?" He thought out loud on accident.

The owl, if it had a human face, would have smiled. It's words clear and strong "The catch only comes when you ask your question," they said simply in unison.

Terry stepped forward. "Well then I'll ask." He wanted to go first. If anything was going to happen, it would happen. He would be the first to take a risk. If something harmful happened to him, it would be a warning to the others. His eyes were set on the owls. "I want to know the purpose of this quest. Where should we go first?"

The owls stared back at him "That's two questions," they said simply. One question would be payed easily, the second with life, would he want them both answered. Theirs talons racked the ground as if a warning.

" Of course" he muttered. " The wisest may not seem pleasant, nor can the dumbest be wisest." He said under his breath. " Ask the first question. We don't need a member dying" he whispered to Terry

"I know, that was my mistake. Sorry." Terry looked at the owls with a small smile. It was like his old Math teacher asking him to explain theorems. "What's the purpose of this quest?"

Kat looked at the room they were in wandering around the corners studying what the owls had. Terry's question though made her look back in worry. The catch was in the question, and that was one on meaning and purpose. Would that mean the price involves meaning or purpose? Her green eyes turned to the owls to see their reply.

The owl's looked at Terry "You know your purpose, it's the main purpose you wish. But it's all part of a bigger picture, a larger math. One that will change the life you have known. The purpose of your quest, is to complete it, to aid your leader. And his purpose, is to save your beliefs and destroy a large power." the white owl returned Kat's glance with a piercing cold one. "Very wise friend." he said complimenting her thoughts.
Matthew frowned. They hadn't told them anything they didn't know! "You never answered the question, you told us what we already knew!" but the owls ignored him. "we said we shall answer, how we answer is our choice. Now how you repay is yours," they said coolly.

Jasper groaned. " So is that useful information?" Dang these owls give some info, and we already know that. Surely they must have known that we had known that!

Terry just smiled at the answer, memorizing every word quickly. It wasn't any help. Maybe they could get some info out of it..."Repay...I don't have much to give.

Current OutfitKat's gray shoe tapped the floor as she looked away from the owl. "They gave you a meaning, do you have anything that has meaning on you-" but she froze looked up at them and stepped towards them her steps not faltering. Pulling out a hidden necklace her green eyes flashed with pain as she dropped it infront of them "Meaning, fair trade. A known meaning for a known meaning," her thoughts on her mother who gave her the necklace. The hidden lady....

The owls watched her approach. Eyes narrowing when she dropped the necklace. "It has meaning, but to you, and to us?" they asked in cold voices.

Erikson held his hand up to make Terry stop "Meaning. It has meaning cause she is giving it up for a friend. She is infect following her leader..." his green eyes on the owls who stared at him. That's not what Kat meant it to be, but now that he put it that way...the white one swept a wing over the necklace and it vanished "Anymore questions?" the black one asked.
