He looked away and coughed. He wouldn't say anything.

I smirked with satisfaction. "When can I leave here, then?" I said, sitting back on my bed.

"Tomorrow, rest up until then. You have to regain your energy." He says. He waves her back toward the bed.

I sighed, but did as he asked, and laid down on the bed.
(Can it be tomorrow yet?)

(Sure why not.)
Terry let out a sigh and sat down next to Shade's bed. He motioned for the kid to sleep and get some rest. Then Terry himself fell asleep next to him in the chair after watching him lovingly. Like a little brother indeed.
-Tomorrow-
He blinked, his eyes snapping olen at the light streaming through the window. He got up to close the curtains to let them rest longer.

The light from the window landed on my face before Terry could close it. My eyes opened and I sprang out of bed. "It's tomorrow!" I declared. "You can't keep me hostage here forever!"

Noise woke him up. A voice. Ah. Morning... He sat up and rubbed his eyes. He must be at home. In his cabin in the woods with Dodge. It must ne time for training....but it was a girl's voice. He blinked and saw Summer declaring her freedom. he winced. Oh yeah, he was in the infirmary. And he couldn't sit up too fast because of his back. "....Morning...."

Well, they had woken up fast. Terry stood up and looked Summer up and down. She seemed fine. Alright then. "I guess you can go then. Morning bro." He talked to both of them at once. Shade sat up carelessly again without thinking. "Be careful, how many times do I have to tell you that?" Terry still felt sleepy, but she tried to be cheerful and get goin like always. But Terry wasn't a morning person.

"Yeah, stop sitting up so fast!" I complained. "You're going to hurt yourself again. Gods, I'm turning into Terry." I said with a grin at him. "I'll come and visit you later."

He looked back after helping Shade. I checked his back. It was healed. It had sealed because of the stitches, but he had a troubled look on his face. "That's gonna leave a big scar..."

I winced when I saw the wound, but didn't say anything. "See you later!" I announced, then left.

He nodded, turning his head. "Bye!" Terry narrowed his eyes and sat back into his chair, looking at Shade. "That's gonna leave a scar. And the nurse told me before already. You won't be able to move like you used to."

Shade was just glad the bandages were gone. He had seen the scar in a mirror. The nurse had showed him. He wasn't angry at Terry at all. He didn't regret his actions. But this was new. "I can't move around like before? What do you mean?" But he knew exactly what he meant. It's not like he couldn't run around...

Terry paused. The nurse had said so. But he didn't want to share it. The cat was out of the bag now. "Um...Extreme movements might pain your back. Bro, I'm sorry. You can't stretch your back for too long. You might not be able to hold out too long fighting. I'll watch your back though. I really will." Terry brightened up at the end, forcing a smile at the end.

"Extreme...Movements....fighting..." It didn't make much sense for a second, but Shade kept a calm face. He shifted. "Yeah, I know you'll watch my back. I'm not worried. I'll be careful." His words were calm and collected. He understood perfectly, took the news lightly. He wouldn't worry Terry. He didn't need to do that. Looked out the window. "You don't need to worry about me. I'm getting out of here tonight. So you can go do your activities. Being the messenger, you're busy right?" He didn't feel like talking.
