Matthew Erikson, the Dionysus cabin leader sat down. His icy blue eyes on the rest of the half-bloods as he waited for one of them to speak up. He heard the prophecy, but he hoped somebody had an idea on what it meant.

Lauren Gray shifted in her seat. The Apollo cabin leader waited for someone to speak up. Clearing her throat she asked "What was the prophecy?" she also had heard it. But she hadn't memorized it.

"S-sorry! I'm late!" Shade entered on his crutches, being slower than usual. He dipped his head in apology and made his way carefully to his seat. "Terry's informing the other cabin leaders of the meeting, so he will be late." He sat down in his chair. He was feeling much better now. By the end of the day, when the quest left, he would be able to walk perfectly fine. He wanted to go on the quest.

He flew to the entrance after informing the rest of the cabin leader's. He landed and held out his hand. The wings detached from his shoes and shrunk back into four white feathers. He stuffed them into his pocket and walked into the room. "Sorry, I'm late. I heard Kayden and Susan talking. I memorized the prophecy. 'A half blood will reach the peak, The trembling fury within shall reap A fight will arise, a gift given, The power forsaken, will be the power mistaken. Once sliced thread will mend, The beginning of the end.'"
It sound quite ominous. The whole thing is in riddles. But it will definitely be dangerous. 'A fight will arise?' 'The trembling fury within shall reap?' 'A power mistaken?'" Terry said with a calm expression. He walked to his seat and took it.

Matthew nodded "Hello, it's fine," he then turned to Lauren. Being daughter of Apollo, she should get riddles more than the rest of them.

Lauren nodded "It's fine Shade, Hello Terry," she said brushing some brown hair back she continued. "The prophecy is all riddles. But maybe we should take it apart one by one." she paused then continued "A half blood will reach the peak, we know this hald blood is Kayden, but peak. Peak of power? Peak of a mountain? the next line says a trembling fury within shall reap. This can mean either Kayden, no offense, has something wrong inside. Or the peak of the mountain has something bad inside...." she then pulled out a notebook and wrote down the prophecy. Staring at the lines she frowned "But it doesn't make sense. We are missing something, like what power? What gift...."

Terry sat back in his chair and closed his eyes, thinking. He tapped his chin. It had been a while since he was serious. "The line that bothers me the most..." He muttered, "Is 'once sliced thread will mend'" He looked up, his pale blue eyes seriously calm. "I don't think I'm right, but when I think of a 'thread' could it be a thread of life? If one is cut, how can it be mended? And who exactly is the enemy here? How many people will go on this quest?"

She frowned "If it is the thread of life, couldn't Hades, or Hades's sin mend it?" she said glancing at Shade

"...." He thought about it quietly. The power forsaken will be the power mistaken? Who's powers? What powers were they? He pushed the bangs out of his eyes for once to look clearly at the rest of the demigods. He was unsure of what to say. "T-there's no way...! I can't...I haven't tried it....But I can only summon being of the underworld, and with operations, ghosts."

Matthew nodded "We can't send Kayden alone. So volunteers? I'll go," he said. The kid had been in this camp for too long, and he wasn't going to sit back anymore.

Shade nodded slowly. "I want to go. I'm better now." He knew Terry was going to volunteer. He wanted to be useful to everyone. Help everyone. Protect everyone. They were his friends. The first ones he had ever made.

"I'll stay, the camp needs protection. Plus I can work on decifering the plot easier here," she told them

Matthew nodded "Yes some of us should stay to protect the camp" and surprisingly the Ares cabin leader nodded and agreed on staying, as did Aphrodite's.

He nodded. "I'm going. I earned my share of golden drachmas, so there will be plenty to communicate back with." He looked at Shade unsurely. He was about to object with him going, since he couldn't fight properly, but the look in his changed his mind immediately. Shade's eyes were full of determination. It had been a while since he had seen eyes like that.
