Juliette tilted her head to the side slightly "I don't even remember being able to flick a switch for light... I remember candles, but not bulbs...nor do I remember having..." she paused trying to remember the name "a inner net," the name clearly wrong but she couldn't remember much from what she tried the understand of the computer and it's web.
Juliette turned away from him facing the outside and speaking mostly to herself. Then his words drifted to her. A smile forming "And why would I do that? If you don't jump, how do you know you can't fly?" she told him. And with that she jumped. In the short time it would have taken Alexandre to look out the window to expect her dead body though, a beautiful white hawk was gliding in the air.
Juliette was gone. It was like she never jumped out. The white hawk gliding upwards following the other birds as they reached up to the clouds. The young woman may have seemed insane to jump out, but now she was completely gone, such a sight would startle someone. Especially if it only took them a mere minute to look down hoping not to see a broken body.
As a white hawk though Juliette felt things slowly click into place. She knew she wasn't supposed to be here, but she knew of she went back home she would find she is late. Juliette knew she missed someone, and she knew that somehow that strange man Alexandre had some sort of similarity with him. She felt the lightness of flying clear her mind, but strangely she was still feeling the pressure of gravity as something kept her mind completely blank from new information.

Alex laughed, "blackout, maybe?" After all, she couldn't have never encountered a lightbulb. That is, unless she was from a 3rd world country, her family did not use advanced technology by choice, or she was from some other time. The second option was most likely as she was clearly from Italy and it's impossible to travel through time unless... she was a daughter of Chronus. She held no resemblance to Max or Elizabeth - the two resident daughters of Chronus. Well, one a previous resident, recently deceased.
However, before he could say anything or move to stop her, she jumped from the window. Moving quickly to it, stretching out an arm, he found she was not in his grasp. She'd jumped. Finally daring himself to look downward after a moment or two of hesitation, he found no body but, instead, a white hawk rising from below and into the clouds. Snow white hawks weren't common in the area; unheard of, in fact. However, there was an odd bird and a missing corpse of a demigoddess of unknown lineage. Putting two and two together, Alex found the result to be the hawk was Juliette.
Staring out the window, watching her, a smile widened across his face. She was able to transform into a bird as one of her powers. It was amazing, to put things bluntly, and all Alex could do was watch from the window.

Juliette could feel the information sip back, wind, oh the wind had something to do with it all as it whispered and went through her snowy white feathers. The white hawk circled the sun as everything clicked in place.
My name is Juliette Isabella Capulet. I am from Verona, Italy. I am fluent in Latin, Italian, English, and Spanish. I can recognize Greek, not necessarily speak or understand it. My father...my father...who is my father? Roman. Wind. God. Aquilo. My father is Aquilo... My mother is Lady Capulet...and I don't belong here. Why don't I belong here.
The white hawk started a unconscious descend downwards back to the window it had come from, the once brilliant freedom from it's beautiful figure fading as she landed in the room, and in a moment sat on the floor, looking confused. Lost. Abandoned.
The beautiful face of the daughter of the Roman Aquilo looked sad. She didn't belong here, and she was certain. Their was no denying, this was not home. Could it ever be home? The cyan blue eyes didn't meet Alexandre, she seemed lost in thought. When suddenly she did realize his presence "Where do you come from?" she murmured. He was familiar, but in what sense?

Alexandre was still in a state of shock when Juliette fluttered back into the window, reverting to her usual self. She seemed distraught, yet... exhilarated.... free, almost. "Me? California - it's out west. Lots of earthquakes and forest fires... and great beaches and wine," he replied, puzzled. What was the importance of his origins? Juliette couldn't be from California - she was far to fragile to live as a working-class citizen in the state but didn't have the spoiled attitude of a rich, set-for-life daughter of a millionaire, either. She was from Verona, just as she'd said... wasn't she? So why was she asking these questions, again?

From the ground Juliette studied him, eyes narrowing as if deciding wether or not to believe him. But the world wine clicked in her mind. "You know...I once knew someone who made the finest wine imagineable..." she told him her voice drifting as she tried to concentrate on the faint memory. But it felt like their was a huge wall blocking that specific person, as well as another that was clicked in by the word 'earthquake'...

Alex grinned, taking note of Juliette's interest in wine. If she would stop jumping out windows, he could really grow to like this girl. "Obviously, you haven't tasted my family's, then," he grinned. "Our wine was second only to Dionysus, himself!" he boasted, lightheartedly. "Well, before my mom shut down the vineyard."

"Bacchus?" she whispered. But then a sharp pain hit her head. Closing her eyes and cringing she let go of all thoughts of the wine god. Her cyan eyes opening as she tried to mask the major headache. The daughter of Aquilo couldn't think of her past all too much, the block would only get worse. It would drive her insane if she broke it. Wouldn't it?
Shakily speaking she said with a bright smile "Well then maybe you should show off your great skills, I'd like to see if you're correct." she told him a slight challenge lingering as she masked the sudden pain nagging her mind.

Alex chuckled. "Well, wine takes years to make," he said. "Are you willing to wait that long?" Leaning against the counter, near the coffee machine, he grinned. "I do have a few bottles left over from the winery, though, back at my place. Maybe you could stop by, sometime?"
He hadn't noticed Juliette's sudden pain. He had his head turned for the brief moment it was observable. Now with coffee in his hand, he smiled. Taking a sip, however, his expression soured. Dumping the coffee quickly into the sink, he explained, "Too strong... way too strong."

Juliette watched him dump the coffee into the sink "I wouldn't mind paying you a visit," the replied her cyan eyes on the dark liquid being poured out. Had she ever had coffee before? Hm...no she didn't believe she had. And the only reason she knew what it was, was because somebody had explained to her earlier today.

Alex smiled in return. "I'll see you there, then," he grinned. Just as he was about to say more, however, the bell rang. "Well, looks like it's time to get back to class." As he turned to leave, the son of Dionysus looked over his shoulder with a mischievous grin. "You might not want to go jumping out any more windows - it might freak out the kids." With a laugh and a wave, he was out the door, and heading for his classroom. Today's lesson was on the Egyptian mummification process - fun!
(It's fine, by the time you posted that, I was asleep... and it was only 6:00 here! ...where do the teachers stay, anyways? Do they have houses built into the school, sort of like dorms but each teacher has their own, they don't share, or do they have actual houses?)
