"Homework? For what?" she asked staying in place. Her green eyes looking at the newspapers. "No. But I was just wanting to make conversation. See it makes me more keen on not telling the whole camp your son of Thanatos and having Silver burn down this cabin and others come to you for their dead beloved ones," she smiled making a point.

Nick sighed. She wasn't leaving...Obviously... "For a...project of mine. It involves my personal life so don't drill questions," he said flatly. His eyes then narrowed "The same way I can say your daughter of Persephone. Should not be Demeter cabin leader, and the cause of everything bad and a future war?"

Kathrine was silent "I guess a unspoken truce has taken place..." a faint smile curling the edge of her lips. "Well thank you for keeping my secret..."

Nick shrugged "It's not a truce. It's just common sense. What would I gain from letting everyone hate you? You have enough troubles about your mother. It's better to get troubles from different sources," he said with a grin.

Kathrine sighed. What Nick said was true. She would gain enough troubles from different sources, no doubt. “You know Nick. You aren’t half bad. You can actually be nice…” she told him in a calm tone. He wasn’t warm and fuzzy. No never. But he wasn’t cold and heartless like he seemed to be half the time with those cruel jokes he plays on people.
