Terry flinched as her tone grew harsh, and he backed off, looking at her with a hurt expression. He looked down, "I said I was sorry..." He stopped himself, wondering what the heck he was doing. "You have to go...and you really won't let me go along?" His light blue eyes were dull. Of course, why would she want him along? He would only drag her down with his injuries. Even now, he was useless to her.

Kat bit her lip. Honestly she wouldn't mind him coming...but her get hurt. Again. "Terry...it's not that I don't want you to come...it's just it's...better if you don't..." she said looking away for a moment. Her green eyes looking sadder and no longer hard.

"that's why I didn't want you to come. And I get it." Terry's gaze was hard at the ground, and he was keeping himself as composed as possible. "Sorry, Kat. I understand now. If you have to....If you won't have it any other way..." He swallowed, every part of him aching as he said it. "Then you should go, I guess. I mean...who am I to stop you?"

Kat flinched. Oh no. Did he think she didn't care about him? The last part worried her. Her green eyes meeting his eyes "Terry," she whispered taking his hand lightly and stepping closer do she could give him a soft gentle hug "You can't stop me. But you can't say your not important to me," she told him softly. "Your my best friend..." and someone I hate living without...she added silently.

Terry's expression softened as she took his hand, pulling him in for another hug. He held her tightly, not wanting to let go. she was his anchor, no matter how odd that sounded. "Bye, Kat. I'm glad you told me before you left. Just...be careful." He whispered in her ear, feeling worry spread through his whole being. "Promise me that you'll get back."

Kay smiled slightly. Closing her eyes as she pressed her headcagaibstchis great and fought back tears. She hated saying good bye. Especially to Terry. Even if it was rare the two didn't see each other. It was hard when they didn't. Kat looked up. Feeling sad now that he was saying good bye "You know I can't promise coming back...but I can promise to be careful.." she told him softly. It was demigod life. It wa always on the line. Unfortunately she wasn't like the other demigods. Hades wanted her specifically dead.

"Right...you can't promise." Terry swallowed hard, taking in all of her features for what could be the last time. But he didn't believe it would be the last. As she pulled away, he nodded. "Go, it's what you want to do. I'll be waiting. And hopefully, what you have in mind will work. Stay alive, Kat..." He trailed off, not having anything else to say. But his worried eyes spoke a million words.

Kat tried to smile feeling a lump in her throat. It was so sad to look in his worried eyes. To know she was leaving the one person she was missing more than joy when gone. "I would say the sane to you. It seems like everything you leave camp you return hurt..." she told him trying to laugh. She didn't want to go now. But she had to. She was ready. And if she stated one more day like she was tempted to do, what if in that one day she decided she doesn't want to leave? No. She had to go. bd even if she didn't want to she knew it.

"Yeah, but I come back alive..." Terry replied with a wry smile, one he didn't use often. "I'm going to miss you," he sighed, just going out and saying it. It was rare that some situation like this came along, right? So the truth was at hand. "Watch out for monsters. Stay low. If anything happens, try sending an iris message. I'll come after you."

Kat grinned slightly "Better alive I suppose..." she told him though her eyes didn't reflect the grin she had. They were studying his blue eyes. Not wanting to not see them. "I'll miss you too Terry..." she whispered softly. I'm afraid I already started...she thought sadly.
Nodding she agreed. "Ok. If anything goes wrong I'll send you a message..." she said quietly. Knowing that he would in fact come to protect her.

"I'll...focus on resting and healing then...I guess." He scratched his head, knowing very well that he wouldn't be able to sleep no matter what. He would want to send Kat an iris message every second just to see if she was alright. But he knew he couldn't. "I guess....this is goodbye...for now."

Kat nodded stepping backwards. A small flower opening up and raising up her bag. "Bye Terry..." she told him with a slight smile as she fought back the urge to just run back into his arms. She walked backwards into a tree and sunk through reappearing in New York. Where her search for Max would begin.

Terry nodded, wanting nothing more than to just run over and go with her, but he knew that wasn't going to happen. He resisted and watched her leave him. Leave camp. And Terry knew it was going to be a really long night for him. He slipped back into his cabin, looking back at where Kat was standing before next to the tree.
