Reaching the arena she went to fetch her sword which she left here after training today. The gold hilt had a smooth flower pattern and the blade had a beautiful design of flowers engraved in it. A gift from her mother.

Kayden approached with a sword that shined and highlighted the lightning marks on it. His eyes were determined as he got ready to duel.

She smiled "Ready?" she asked him her hair slicked back in a ponytail as she faced her opponent.

Not waiting much longer she made a quick swipe at his ankles not meaning to hit him just alert him that it would be a quick paced duel.

Kat ducked his blade and in the same motion thrusted her's at his shoulder.

Her blade barely missed Kayden's shoulder as he moved out of the way, swinging his sword towards her arm.

Luck made her fall back. Not wanting to look clumsy she swiped at his leg. And jumped to her feet.

The sword tip nicked his leg, but Kayden ignored it and he swiped at her feet.

Using her blade to deflect his she spun around. And thus moving out of the way of his attack. Five years of training, that's what it took to be like her. Swift and strong. Quick on her feet she grabbed a nearby dagger and threw it at his shoe. If he jumped back she would have the time to recollect her sword, which she had dropped in the quick spin away. It was a easy sacrifice since weapons were usually scattered through the arena in the dummies or on the floor.

Kayden did as she had thought, he jumped back, but didn't waste time to make an attempt to run at her sword. He had figured what she would do, but he didn't know if he would be successful.

It was no surprise when he reached her sword first. But instead of standing like an idiot she rolled forward and with one quick movement tried to trip him. Spinning like she learned to do Not waiting to see if he stumbled she jumped up and grabbed her sword. Spinning it she got ready to attack.

Her trip worked, as Kayden rolled on the ground. He stood up slowly and brushed himself off. His sword was still ready.
