Matthew stood in the arena. A light silver sword in his hand as he skillfully swept it through a dummy. His icy blue eyes reflected the bored mother he had awaiting him in Brooklyn. And his blonde hair was a replica of his father's. The boy was sixteen, but appeared younger at times.
Pausing his bored gaze swept the arena. Where was everybody?

Carmen sat and watched Matthew, she was about to go over to see if she could join.

Spotting a girl he walked over. Registering his face he recognized her as daughter of Poseidon, but that didnt scare him "Hey,"

Carmen stood up and said "Hello." She thought he must be the child of Dionysus.

Matthew nodded "I'm Matthew Erikson, in case you didn't know..." he muttered. He was cabin leader, so their was a posibility she knew his name.

He grinned brightly "Great! In the mood for a fight?" he asked pulling out his sword from the ground. The silver blade shimmering

Carmen pulled out her sword and said "Lets see what you got."

He grinned and twirled his sword before holding it still "I think it will be enoughto give you a challenge," with that he thrust his sword forward. His blonde hair flipping out of his blue eyes that shone with excitement. At least not everybody feels like doing nothing all day.

Carmen held the sword up to block the attack. She then stepped to the side and did an underhand thrust at Matthew. Carmen was grinning she was glad someone finally wanted to do something.

Matthew stepped back so that the attack missed and twirled the sword before coming in. His blue eyes were bright and glad, he was actually having fun.

Carmen was not blocked again but this time her block was a little weak. So she did a back flip and thrust her sword at Matthew again.

Using his sword he blocked the attack and thinking silently he made a vine grow to trip her, it wasn't an obviously grow since the vine was only big enough to trip her
